I had a toxic Manager at a 24/7 Photo processing Lab. He ordered me to quickly pull prints off the drying drum, and I told him that what he was asking me to do, would tear the printed surface, and the Photo order would have to be redone. He insisted, and I quit my Job. Later, the Lab was experiencing Bankruptcy, and the CEO, not the Manager, called me back to help complete all orders left to be done. He was furious when I told him what the Manager had me to do. I believe Manager was part of the causes of PhotoLab's demise.
Ugh for the love of God could we please get an employee who gets justice through law and company policy and NOT because they're secretly the CEO, daughter/son of the CEO ETC!?! Let's get some dang underdog wins
Yes, PLEASE! It's not even about being an "underdog win." It's about "ANYONE can win, if they use the resources available to EVERYONE, including THE RULES and THE LAW, and THE LABOR BOARD, and LAWYERS." Or maybe CALLING THE POLICE when a crime has been committed? What's with all the "Oh, I'm secretly powerful, so I'm going to SHAME you" stories. I want to see truth and justice, please.
"Just because you're asking me what you've done wrong does not mean I have to tell you." No, but it means you're a really lousy manager if you don't. How do you *think* you get improvement if not by explaining to people what you want to see done differently?
3:30 And then, the CEO, upset at having his meeting interrupted and ended abruptly by a man who was calling his friend a liar, decided to ACCOMPANY him to his workspace, and tell Hugo, 'AS HE SAID, HE WAS WITH ME. NOW STOP ACTING LIKE A TWAT, AND BEHAVE YOURSELF." Also, what is the problem with getting hired while in your forties? People change jobs all the time.
I find it interesting that all the commenters are slamming on Hugo. Yet no one even mentions the CEO. He is just as guilty as Hugo,if not more so. He never investigated complaints. Never provided a safe work place. Time for OP to straighten out the CEO.
@@KCohere33 Yeah, I don't wanna hear anymore peeps from either Hugo or Marcus. Something about Marcus did seem a bit off at the beginning, even before the reveal.
This is a great story, I loved it. Things like this really do happen in real life and many people women and men go through it every day. Why do some people think they are entitled to harass others like that. I wish they could be on the opposite side and see if they like being treated the same. Be kind and respectful to others. Treat them like you want to be treated.❤😢
A former supervisor told me to spy on two coworkers and tell her what they were saying. I flat out refused, told her it was ethically and morally wrong and it wasn’t happening. When it came time, months later, for job evaluations, she brought that up and “dinged” me for it. The point is, regardless of the situation you don’t ever back down from unreasonable behavior.
My company didn't have a performance review program until the start of this year. The plant manager got us one as part of his joining the company. But, our production manager has hardly done any in the past five months. The plant manager is increasing his pressure on him to get them done. I trust our plant manager but not the production manager. He is great as an engineer but not as a manager.
Unless Marcus was in a relationship with Robert, but Marcus was also having an affair with Hugo. And, yeah, there was a wedding involved - but it was quite incidental to the whole story.
Marcus totally screwed the pooch herr. You investigate all claims of workplace harassment, not doing so can put your company at severe legal risk. Marcus should consider himself lucky he wasn't named in Robert's workplace harassment suit against Hugo because by refusing to investigate Robert's complaint, he was just as guilty/complicit as Hugo was. By the way, settlements are generally done out of court,in this case, the court heard all the evidence and entered a judgement in favor of Robert, not a settlement
Lol. Calvin was not playing. Shouldn't have messed with his friend. I have a feeling that he is not done with Marcus yet. Calvin will eventually take his job.
"How do you get to talk to the CEO..." If it ain't about you, that's your concern of yours, why? My age, work (meaning he's never held a job in their life), and home life (and family background, which btw is illegal) has anything to do with my position in the company, how? because if they don't have anyone in power vouch for hem, the company will just take them to court for being a nuisance, just like in real life

Hugo is a danger to the corporation..future lawsuits can happen years after for allowing a bully as a supervisor who makes the work place toxic?
So is Marcus for not investigating a claim of workplace harassment simply because it came from a newly hired employee
Hugo never grew up from being a schoolyard bully, that's for sure.

Essentially, the plot of Franz Kafka's book.
That manager should be fired

One reason I was called "too nice" by a coworker. Never knew nice people could be looked down on so much.
Guess they shouldn't have given Hugo any sort of power. Just a bully who's going to get fired really soon

Marcus/Hugo VA - I just love his voice.
What managers would a VP have? Board members sure. Managers no.
HAHA Apparently Hugo is the only one that is "allowed" to "play games" smdh
"I made him into who he is..." spoken like a true narcissistic abuser!
It wouldn’t be revenge. Revenge is for yourself. Vengeance on behalf of someone else is avenging.
Hugo has a heart of stone; cold and uncaring
If this was not fiction, then I think I would be having a detailed discussion with Hugo after work about proper managerial styles.
First the crappy AI voice and now the tin can in a bathroom. If I were Robert I’d fing sue.
Robert did sue for workplace harassment and won
Calvin pulled a Brubaker on Hugo.
If guy got married yesterday, why is he not on honeymoon? Is he working next day weird.
