It was interesting watching him discover the foods from her culture he enjoyed and could eat reaction free. The dish with Pigs blood was one, it tasted soo good but might seem like something to shy away from. It has a deep flavour like browned Mushrooms or gamey meat. It's just so well seasoned the way folks from the Philippines make it. Yum yum 😊 Glad to see people expand their culinary boundaries. Food is very much so cultural and what your palette can tolerate is truly influenced by what you grew up eating. It can be trained though which is good
You should fry your fish outside or else your house will smell fried fish for a few days..
You are talking about dinuguan. My fiancee makes that as well. I ate it when I was in the Philippines. Very good.
@@lornaring614 Unless Scott buys a fryer so she can cook outside, they have to do it like this. It's the dried fish being fried that stinks. Fresh fish doesn't have that odor.
FYI in Indian and Pakistan People use Green (Raw) Papaya as Meat tenderizer.
You cut remove and discard seeds and then grinde a paste of it and use a teaspoon or table spoon of it on meat as a tenderizer also it doesn't have any flavor so you can use it in the marinate as well

I'm a filipina and knife is not the only tool for us asians to use for opening cans, we can use spoon too. And a sturdy knife won't get destroyed easily

So whenever i cook with onion and garlic I fry it in a little oil until fragrant then proceed to add other ingredients. I am 🇱🇦. Maybe it’s just a different type of of cooking but this video triggered me so badly. Take care of your husband like he takes care of you honey.

It's great that you love to cook papaya this way😂I don't eat it this way though. If we cook it like a 'ginataan' I don't add sardines just plain gata and some green leaves only. If I'll add some tomato sardines I stir fry it😃 I just don't mix them it's sooo fiiisshy🤣😂 you should try the tinolang manok for Scot, just make sure to use native chicken 👍 it'll be delicious
