I use to get up every Saturday morning to watch it on 4kids tv and it was amazing I was hooked on the realistic dinosaurs with the anime style clash wich was a nice mix and suprisingly worked, alot of dinosaurs from the show I got introduced and loved like saurophonaganax, acrocanthosaururs, and carcaradontosaururs but their was one that out did them all and still does the carnotaurs man what a fresh coat of paint to it from Disneys carno wich at the time I knew was inacurate so to see the dinosaur king version it was amazing even today I never see a show depict it like that it was fast and powerfule but still could easily be taken out but was no pushover either a good representation of it to this day, in all with the story and the dinosaur models it was just amazing a good lost series that was advanced for its time. Also I want to point out it introduced me to amargosaurus to but fossil fighters introduced me to it a few months earlier since I really never saw that episode till later so ya alot of cool species were depicted so what's not to love.

It's kind of hard to get a hadrosaur wrong. For sauropods, they make the head too big and give them a wide stance. For nearly all theropods, they make the wrists pronated. But hadrosaurs don't really have any such distinguishing feature that "look better" in the public's eye

I actually think that this Spinosaurus is accurate. These short legs are actually from a younger specimen (if he had such short legs he just wouldn’t be able walk), that tail is actually a prehistoric crocodile tail (that absolutely nothing can tie to a previous Spinosaurus fossile) and, sure he was an aquatic creature, butas much as he is now portrayed. The head, the tail, the limbs are accurate in Dinosaur King. Only the sail isn’t in my opinion. All these short legged Spinosaurus come from the paleontologist Nizar Ibrahim, which is not a really trustable source. Even one of his most faithful supporter, the paleontologist Paul Sereno, began recently to refute Ibrahim’s words about the Spinosaurus…

-that tail is actually a prehistoric crocodile tail (that absolutely nothing can tie to a previous Spinosaurus fossile)

Again no hate towards you but that is wrong, very wrong.

    • @valou-scaling
      @valou-scaling Год назад

@@uhhidunno7889 It is a simple deduction made by some people, since Ibrahim’s neotype is constantly incomplete and mixes many specimens from different places with different ages and sizes (which is how we got the ridiculously short legs). Many giant crocodiles lived in the region back then, and absolutely no vertebra discovered with the tail allows us to be absolutely certain of its appartenance to a Spinosaurus (even stranger, Ibrahim strongly states that the tail is from the specimen he discovered in 2014, a pretty bizarre thing to say since once again no bones in the description perfectly matches the ones from 2014 or previous studies)

3)absolutely no vertebra discovered with the tail allows us to be absolutely certain of its appartenance to a Spinosaurus
-Again no hate but good grief I'm not gonna go over this
4)even stranger, Ibrahim strongly states that the tail is from the specimen he discovered in 2014
-No hate, but fucking when? similiar to where you state some people have made this deduction I find this hard to believe when you are the only person who states this saying stuff such as teh fossils belonging to crocodillians which again nobody has said. The specimens with the tail where discovered in 2018 and the findings were published in 2020 the fossils seemingly come from asingular individual as there are nothing along the lines of a duplicate.Again no hate apologies for if I seemed unnecessarily aggressive.

@@valou-scaling Ok this seems like a fanboyish comment coming from a person that can't accept reality.
Bruh I don't know why people hink paleontology is just some blatant guess work.
Moreover Dr. Nizar Ibrahim is the greatest spino paleontologist to this day, stop talking trash about my boy, cause this is just ridiculous.
Btw, you know we are living in 2022 right?
Scientists have likely have figured out a way to distinguish between bones in like the 2000s.We aren't living in like the 1850s are we?
Moreover the specimen that he discovered in 2020 had some bones from a spino's sail. So it's 100% a spinosaurus tail.
As of the juvie goes, spinosaurus has like 2 specimen, and both are similarly sized. Even the one from the world war was supposedly 45ft in length. Which suggests that these specimens are more likely to be adults for now.

Prehistoric Kingdom doesn't show Saurophaganax as a subspecies of Allosaurus. It is (it will be) like with Tarbosaurus and Charonosaurus. Tarbo is very similar to T-Rex and Charono is very similar to Para and when you go to T-Rex in the hatchery it will say Tarbosaurus Bataar and not Tyrannosaurus Bataar. Same with Charonosaurus where it will say Charonosaurus Jiayinensis and not Parasaurolophus Jiayinensis. Saurophaganax will definitely be the same when it and Allosaurus comes out. In the Prehistoric Kingdom Wiki when you go to Allosaurus it will say a subspecies like this:
    *A. (Allosaurus) Europaeus,*
    *A. (Allosaurus) Fragilis* and
    *S. (Saurophaganax) Maximus,*
so the creators of the game and Wiki probably don't think that Saurophaganax is a subspecies of Allosaurus

I have one problem with this video. You say that Allosaurus should be in the fire element class because a lot of it's family belongs to the fire element class. I disagree since there are some dinosaurs of the same family that are placed in different elements. An example would be the Albertosaurus in the wind element class despite being part of the Tyrannosaur family which most of them are in the fire element class. Allosaurus wouldn't fit in the fire class because it's a medium sized carnivore.

So Dinosaur King (In my opinion) Is allowed to get away with these inaccuracies because of the story of dinosaur King. Now the show doesn't do a great job at making the story crystal clear so let me summarize.
The main villain is Doctor Z who is from the future. He wanted to go to the Mesozoic era to capture more dinosaurs to create a Dinosaur army. The dinosaurs would become super powered battle beasts.
However they crashed in the modern day. When this happened. the machine that creates the cards exploded, scattering the cards across the planet. And now he wants to get them back so he can use the to conquer the world. But the main character Max finds one of the dinosaurs as well as his two friends. Together they have to stop Z from conquering the world.
SO basically the dinosaurs aren't meant to be accurate like Jurrasic park. They're designed to be battle beasts used for war.

Hello Dinop The dino, Selfproclaimed dinosaur king expert here. So i notice a few ISSUES with you're description of dinosaur king and other stuff so first of all
you've committed the most common sins that everyone does while talking about dk so lemme just correct you:
DINOSAUR KING IS NOT AN "ANIME" IT'S A SERIES OF ARCADE GAMES MADE BY SEGA. This is like calling pokémon an anime while its oblivously a game series ugh everybody makes this mistake cause they do little reasearch anyway dinosaur king first came out as a simply arcade game that was based on mushiking another arcade game about collecting bugs and fighting with them in a rock paper system DK is that but with elemental attacks and ecc you can see some playthourgh on youtube but basically after it got pouplare in japan it got basically the classic SEGA multifracising treatment and then the anime came out.
now it is a shame you didn't talk about the arcade cause the arcade has dinosaurs like: metricanthosaurus, rugops, agustinia AND THE INFAMOUS EOCARCHARIA (which is cooler then ace don't @ me)
but lets get too the second sin
DK IS NOT A POKEMON CLONE just because it has colletable creatures doesn't make it a pokemon clone the gameplay is completly diffrent its still turned based and has elementas but thats it everything else is diffrent
with those two out of way ima adress some other stuff so for you're allo point at 4:08 is actually kinda dumb
because the elemenats aren't based on family groups they're based on if the model works with that cause you gotta understand every wind/fire/lighting and earth and ecc use same animation depending on what elemant they are now allo uses the wind animation set because its a SMALL FAST THEROPOD meanwhile all the fire dinosaurs are hulking and hefthy allo isn't and also about the saurophaganax. Sauro at the moment and even when this video was realesed was considered valid or in a limbo between valid, invalid and dubios we can't be completly sure. Also the tail flexibility is mainly cause other dinosaurs use that animation set like carno and allo have the same animation set so yeah (also fun fact abelisaurus is the only out liar of this whole animation sent thing using fire dino animation set when clearly looking like a wind dino)
ok just a real small thing about t.rex and para so para thing you showed with the crests i think now its belived too be that the shorter the crest the younger it is i think tho im not sure
and as for rex... its based on jp rex like come on how could you not tell it was shame oh and the whole "only small sauropods" excuse ampelosaurus, isisaurus ecc ecc those are small now?! okay
one last thing spino was kinda unfair do to it being a product of its time
anyway great video nonetheless. thanks for reading

Chomp is a Triceratops Maximus and not horridus.

    • @jacobcox4565
      @jacobcox4565 10 месяцев назад

Triceratops maximus isn't a real species, it is considered a nomen dubium because the fossil it was based on has either been attributed to an already existing species, or it's too poorly preserved to be identified as belonging to another species. Plus, the Triceratops in the show mostly resembles T. horridus.

there are plenty of inaccuracies such as shrinkwrapping and their wrists.
That doesn't make the show bad however as scientific quality doesn't always eqivocate to show quality but inaccuracy is inaccuracy.

Also, the show was frequently rather racist, indulging such things as India having princesses in the 21st century (India is a parliamentary republic and hasn't had royalty of any meaningful sort since they were abolished in 1971), the _Stegosaurus_ episode where the Cambodians immediately thought the creature was a mythical monster (Did they honestly think that no one in Cambodia would know what a _Stegosaurus_ , one of the most iconic dinosaurs in pop culture, was in the days of the internet? That episode just speaks leagues of the Ignorant Natives Think Someone Is Their God trope.), and the show's prominent lack of nonwhites in *EGYPT* among other such places. Plus the Taylors were super annoying. All in all, I don't like it.
