    Ipswich are an underestimated club as they have been out of the Premiership for 20 years. McKenna is the right man to keep them up there. Many of the diva stars in the top flight are in for a surprise. There is a reason ITFC won the old Premiership, the FA cup and the EUFA cup! I agree with Ambrose. COYB!

      You’re the same dude who thought they would be relegated this past season and all they did was get better and promoted, why, transfers and coaching(tier three players beating top tier talent all year. You’re gonna laugh but the key to our success is conditioning, never quitting, and in game adjustments. They will be clinical by the start of the season trust me.

      I agree with Darren Ambrose. I genuinely think we'll challenge top 10. We'll be very hard to beat and we'll get stronger as the season goes on.
      We might start poorly , but once the players adapt to the pace of the league and the new signings have bedded in we'll easily be better than the likes of Forest and Brentford, we're already better than Southampton, we can add to our squad in a way that Leicester can't. We'll be at least as good as Wolves, Bournemouth, Palace and Fulham.
      We might be bottom going into October, but by Christmas we'll be out of the relegation zone and we'll be safe before April.

      All 3 of last year's promoted sides went in with the ideal is just securing premier league survival ,look where they are now ,

      Your a dreamer mate, and so is Ambrose. To put things into perspective, all three promoted clubs got relegated, and Burnley were tipped to survive convincingly because of how great they looked in the championship, but reality kicks in when your playing against teams, and managers, that are either very good, or elite.

    I love ipswich and wish them well as a lifelong boro supporter saying that I doubt they'll be top wrong but hope to be proved wrong.. There's one thing playing excellent football in the championship try it in the premier league without the right personal and you'll be out thought quickly

    • @darylsnell6799
      @darylsnell6799 Месяц назад

      The point you make is valid, but Ipswich didn't go up because they played great football. They went up because the were extremely adaptable, the could switch systems mid-game, they used the entire squad to maintain fitness.
      In League 1 Ipswich were winning games with 70% possession, then in the Championship they were beating the likes of Southampton with 30%. Against Rotherham and Wednesday and QPR, Ipswich would dominate possession and win, then they'd play Boro, Hull and Sunderland have less possession but still win.
      People keep comparing Ipswich to Burnley, but that shows they haven't been watching us. Burnley were like Leicester. The manager had a system and a style of play that he would stick to come hell or high water. In tge Championship when they have the best players it works. In the Premier League it doesn't. Ipswich and McKenna are extremely pragmatic.

    As an Ipswich supporter, I called this season well, saying play offs, top two if things went really well.
    It has taken me a while to work out what I think we will do in the PL, and of course the top priority is to remain in the PL, yet I think we will finish between 10th to 12th.
    I will get the same comment I got this tome last year, saying I am deluded, the gap is too big, we only have L1 players, Mc Kenna is inexperienced, and so on.
    Of course the gap between Championship and the PL is huge, yet we have been playing PL style football since we were in L1, and I think we can adapt well.
    The thing which we will need to be on top of, is being able to perform consistently, and being able to deal with taking a beating and resetting after that, for the next game.
    The fact that there are fewer midweek games, means we have more time available for coaching, which should not be under estimated, and the fact that there are also 8 fewer games, means the demands on the players are reduced in terms of the frequency of playing, although the intensity when they do play will be very high.
    We have next to no debt, we have been building a PL infastructure for the past 2 years, although we still have much work to do to finish that, the world class training facilities, have not yet started to be built.
    Yet we do have as much financial power, and I would argue pulling power with Mc Kenna, and the buzz around the club, to attract players and loan players, (I know you can only have two in the PL) as any club outside the top 8.
    We might be a big club when compared to the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Newcastle, Villa, West Ham, Man City, Man Utd, but we can compete with everyone else, especially when potential financial penalties are considered.
    Leicester are nailed on to have a penalty, and talk around 6/7/8 other clubs, and Man City 25/1 to get relegated, in case their case is finally dealt with.
    I understand some Ipswich supporters think we will be 17th at best, and that is fine, this just happens to be my opinion.

    • @Bryant-yo6rt
      @Bryant-yo6rt Месяц назад

      Ipswich won’t have any problems staying up and being competitive right away because we train harder than anyone.

    Darren Ambrose is thick. Hes got no evidence whatsoever that Ipswich can survive, nevermind finish top ten. Burnley looked impressive when they were in the championship, and they got punished every single week. All three clubs got relegated, so it shows its so hard for premoted clubs these days just to somehow stay up. Personally i would enjoy Ipswich staying up, because they would be a breath of fresh air compared to the likes of Everton (sorry Everton fans) who continue to play rubbish football, and dont have much ambition to go to the next level.

      You are an uninformed fool. Ipswich are a much bigger club than most realise. Champions of England, unbeaten in Europe at home over many seasons from 60s, 70s, 80s and noughties. UEFA Cup winners, and providers of England’s best 2 managers Ramsey and Robson. For much of the 70s and 80s they were in a higher division than Chelsea and Brighton, and regularly finished above both Manchester clubs. Educate yourself.
