Argh!! Wonderful work again women! Such a great job you two do!! So inspiring. I haven't found anyone on RUclips that does what you do with this style of food, so very well. Very fresh and youthful and entertaining! So impressed!! Thanks for the video :) Love Jess xx
You guys make 'making Asian food' so easy and achievable! Tried your chicken noodles recipe, it was juicy deliciousness without too much oil! Now, going to try making syrupy soy chicken. Thanks Dumpling Sisters!
AWESOME! My mom used to make a dish similar to this and I've always wanted to replicate. Unfortunately she is no longer with us so I can't ask her. Please keep doing shows about Cantonese cooking. These dishes are from my childhood and now I can finally learn how to make them again.
It was so touching to read your comment. We are so glad that we can help bring back childhood dishes for you and that you are enjoying our videos :) We will do our best to keep bringing them to RUclips xx
I just found your channel through Jamie's Food Tube, and I have to say, I LOVE it! You two are so adorable and the recipes look amazing! I can't wait to try some of them out! Keep up the great work!
Mmmh yummy! I love chicken, eggplant and spring onions! Unfortunately I don't have all the sauces and rice wine. Maybe I should stock up on chinese staples like that to cook more chinese dishes :-)
wow I never thought this tyoe of "men" chicken would be so easy to do. Thanks for sharing! My mom would be so proud that I can finally cook some chinese food.
For sure! How do you feel about tofu? Medium-firm tofu chopped into chunks would be great, either straight in or pan-fried first so it has a lovely crust for soaking up the sauce. Chopped potatoes would also be excellent soakers and broccoli would work well because the sauce can get trapped in the wee florets. For potatoes and brocolli, it's best to cook up separately first, as there isn't much time for cooking by the time you add them to the sauce :) Hope this helps!
tried it but wouldnt get it to become the sirupy sauce like in the video :( seems like 2 teaspoons of sugar were not enough or? i kept letting it reduce untill i had almost nothing left .. yet it did not become sirupy..
Hi there. For all the recipes, big T is tablespoons, and little t is teaspoons :) Thanks for watching and let us know how you get on with the recipes!
Hello dumpling sisters. I just want to ask can i opt out the rice wine for religious reason, and if possible what can be used for substitute if possible that is non alcoholic
I wonder if you can make a General Tsao's chicken reciepie... the only ones i find are with ketchup and I don't think ketchup is a traditional Chinese ingredient... Thank you
not sure if you're aware, but general Tso's chicken isn't a traditional Chinese dish either... it's a north American Chinese dish.. made for north American tastes. you won't find it in China. also, the word ketchup originates from Chinese, it literally means tomato sauce.
Hi there.. I cannot seem to find a rice wine here in Edmonton however i bought before a "cooking wine" with ingredients of rice, salt, wheat and water thinking it was a rice wine because of the rice ingredient it has.. Haha.. Am i right? Or is it a totally different wine? There's Chinese characters on the label that i cannot read so i am not sure. Thank you! I really want to try this recipe :)
Hi Nikita! Yes, it does work with chicken as well. Some cuts benefit from baking soda more than others though, e.g., works fab for breast meat but thigh meat is usually pretty tender on it's own. Also, if the recipe originally calls for pork of beef, just reduce the amount of baking soda by about 25% (just really approximately) because chicken is not as tough to start of with. Hope this helps!

Hello dumpling sisters. I just want to ask can i opt out the rice wine for religious reason, and if possible what can be used for substitute if possible that is non alcoholic
I cant find most of the stuff you use (like rice wine, dark soy sauce etc) in Turkiye, can you give me alternative for those?
Is it possible to substitute the thigh meat with chicken breast?
I've been making this every week now! :)

Hey girls, so soda powder is the key to get the meat tender, right ? Does it works with chicken too ?
