Nice to see a Promotional Video that actually tells about specs.. Interesting to see these refinments from year to year. Motocross bike technology does not improve in leaps and bounds like it did 20 to 40 years ago when I was riding them ..
I’ve been doing a lot of research lately on yz250s and have come across the fact that you guys used to have a budget “mx250” along with the yz250 back in the 70s. Seeing as the price of bikes are increasing as well as the demand, it seems it may be a good idea to reintroduce the mx line as budget mx bikes by simply selling the previous year model at a discount similar to what Honda does with the crf450s but instead of just selling the prior model, it would be cool to at least put the old yellow or white color schemes on them so they are retro yet new school and should in theory attract more young and old riders. Just a thought.
These bikes weren't announced before August of this year. You'll want to stay in touch with your local Yamaha dealer for any delivery updates, as they are the first to know of any incoming shipments. Thanks!

Lawn mower engines in dirt bikes is great for some Yamaha, the greatest company in the history of the world, listen we the RACING motocross world want a YZ500 two stroke, buy the Canadian Company BRC and use their already trick motor that bolts right into a new YZ250...people want 2T and affordable racing at the local races.... I thank god everyday when I look at my amazing new YZ125, Yamaha is the two stroke KING.... GO BLU CRU! BRAPPPP
Come on already…. The 500 2t is so hard to ride. Yes, a beast of a bike with crazy power. .But you need superhuman moto skills to tame them. Not too many of them. Even the highest ranking AA riders wouldn’t use one. I get the 2T love. Go to any local race and it’s mostly 2T. But small bore 2T. Off road too.
