- Former president Jacob Zuma's arms deal corruption trial will finally begin on 14 April 2025. Next year marks 20 years since charges were first enrolled against Zuma for his alleged role in the multi-billion rand procurement of weapons for the state in the 1990s. NPA's Adv. Mthunzi Mhaga says chances of Zuma mounting other appeals on this case can't be ruled out.

This trial will never start, because it's personal, it's not about arms deal,if it was, Mandela,mbeki, minister of defense at that time should be on the stand,i often wonder how can one person be so strong to stand accused all your life,a man who has been in jail in apartheid government and democratic government he was born to fight,he never break the code and tell us everything,he keeps a good legal team with him.his children are lucky to be raised in a tough environment,i think they can stand anything that comes their way maybe.
