Remember that this man is 77 years old, and sounds so good to listen this, on 'his' organ ...
Thank you.
Great job Dad !
you know COVID ?^^ and distanciation rules
@@PierreFrancoisDUBATTENTI Oh là là ! Même au récital d´orgue . . .
It´s always a pleasure to listen to Daniel Roth at Saint Sulpice.
I love watching you play that famous organ. Not only do you play with your hands and feet, but also with your facial expression.
I’m not a professional musician but I love listening to an instrument so rich in expression played in a church with wonderful acoustics.
When we are allowed to travel again St. Sulpice is on list of favoritos. Please Carrie on for many years Daniel.
I watched this live and I watched it again today. I could write lots about this recording, but I'll keep it short: Master at work! Enjoy, listen and learn 😀
I have been following Daniel Roth for now just over 20 years and if I was to say that through this time he has been a huge source of inspiration for my own amateur music making, I would be guilty of epic understatement.
Additionally, I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel two times at recitals and conversing with him after the recitals and I probably wouldn't be wrong in saying that rarely have I met a person who was more modest and humble about their "job" than Daniel Roth. He is an absolute treasure to those of us into organ music.
Huge thanks to Pierre for bringing this live to our living rooms, tablets, desktops and mobile phones in what is a difficult year for so many.
I am always end ever again amazed how well Bach sounds on this organ if articulated properly 👍
Meister Roth with his trademark silvery silky hair and an expression of calm, kindness, humanity and humility, is a musical pedagogue of the highest order. No one would appreciate this more than Pierre-Francois Dub-Attenti, an organist in his own right who has been assistant to the Meister for many years now.
Wonderful music played by a genius organist-composer-improviser on an incredible instrument, filmed by the ever-serving Pierre-François. Such a great testimony to the power of music and community in the ultimate service of God. Thank you!
Just another great concert in performance of Daniel Roth! Thank you, Dub Attenti that I can watch and listen to it.
All of this is great, and the Widor is just out of this world. Widor used to play this same organ, for many years. Before modern technology it took 5 men to operate the bellows. Daniel Roth is an absolute master. We are so lucky to be able to watch and listen to this.
Wunderbar!!
This man is so amazing.... his skill, his art, are beyond words.... magnificent really....
Bravo! M. Roth. Many thanks to you and Pierre-Francois for bringing us this wonderful program.
Merci!! So good to see and hear from you. Prayers from California.
Great to hear the organ being played! Daniel, you are fantastic and thanks to Pierre for making this all happen. Like if you agree! 👏
I really really love the pace of the final of Widor. It wins so much on clarity and gives way to the beautiful sounds of the organ.
thank you maestro Roth - a wonderful master plays the excellent organ of the great Cavaillié- Coll" !!! Merci beaucoup! 🙏💐💐💐❤️
Merci.
Beauty and artistry beyond words!
Boëllmann, Allegretto con moto, Deuxième suite what a nice composition.
And,... it is always a pleasure to listen to Daniel Roth, who was my teacher twice at the Internationaal Orgelfestival Haarlem in 1975 and1980
Brilliant stuff!! Well done Le Maitre Roth and Pierre-Francois for bringing this to us all.
Paramount performance, paramount sound, Daniel Magister Regio + ACC = Non Plus Ultra Music Performance.
Magnifique. Toujours un plaisir de vous écouter
Thank you! It is very much appreciated!
A big round of applause!
Thank you for a brilliant performance. Very well done.
Bravo bravo et encore bravo !
Merci pour cette magnifique audition.
Quel moment de pur bonheur, merci !
Dziękuję pięknie. Thank you very much (from Poland)
How wonderful to see Le Maitre at work! Thank you - and merci a vous, Pierre-Francois
Great video! Several other (also interesting) videos show him as the organ curator and mentor to young players, but in this one you can see the mastery and talent that got M. Roth his appointment.
Merci Beaucoup! :) Formidable . Marvellous
Muito obrigado por este momento fantástico .
Merci de renaître ! Merci pour ce concert et votre présentation.
What a pleasure to listen, during quarantine, in Honolulu
Merci à vous Maestro !
Thank you VERY much!
Great video showing the organist set up the stops without assistants on this most magnificant instrument!
Thank you very much!
What a treat to watch this maestro in action while exploring the vast and less often heard sonorities of this magnificent instrument! Bravo!!! Your treatment of the Bach and Widor were very interesting to both see and hear: perhaps somewhat unconventional but no less compelling! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Bellissimo! Grazie maestro!
Merci monsieur Roth!
Absolutely phenomenal
I just LOVE this guys playing!!!
Merci de tout
Absolutely wonderful performance.
Merci Beaucoups Msr. Roth! I have goosebumps hearing the Finale to the 6th Symphony on this magnificent instrument. Also, thank you for all that you do for the organ at Saint-Sulpice and for your music!
Thank you.
Masterfully played as always ♥️
WOW.........fantástic!!!!!
Thank you very much! I'm glad I saw the notification in my email.
Merçi de l’Autriche, Maestro!
Thank you, Dub Attenti that I can watch and listen to it. (From the Netherlands)
Vielen Dank !!!
Daniel grande organista e interprete
Bravo. Veerle et Dean
Great Daniel Roth
grande Daniel Roth!
Bravissimo Maestro!
Damn. I missed another great recital!
You can still watch it; I just did. Get out your Widor 6 score to follow along & just bask in the glory.
Interesting to see the vast organ being played for once without any assistants
28 people have tin ears...
I heard Monsieur Roth play in North Carolina in 1986. He was phenomenal. I suspect this is as close as I'm likely to get to hearing him play "live" again. I hope I'm wrong.
😊 wunderschön! - ganz liebe Grüße aus Heilbronn! - lieben Gruß auch von Michael Saum ( KMD an St.Peter&Paul - Deutschordensmünster)
la vive la musica
@Pierre-Francois: merci beaucoup!!
👍
Maybe we are related. My Roth family moved from Montbeliard to Iowa in 1800's. Joe Lehman
He looks a bit like Maris....
Great player
clearly France has a leg up when it comes to teaching pedaling because I don't see a single Parisian organist wearing organ shoes. American organists are practically married to their organ shoes
I think american organists "are married" to their organ shoes because this type of shoes are made only in America. And also all american organs have radiating concave pedalboard, while in France, especially in hystorical organs, there are flat parallel pedalboards.
Merci.
