Dude, you saved me on my trip to college when my mustang broke down! My scan tool said this was the issue and this video helped me fix it on the side of the road. TO ANY VIEWERS: the fuel from the vehicle may explode out of the rubber seal if it is clogged. You may get gas all over yourself and your engine bay. I learned the hard way 🤣

Thank you... Just did mine in 3mins flat. I then cleared the engine light caused by the p0193 code and drove it and its all good now

my 2005 didnt use the 30 torq . Mine used 5/16 socket.
I let the car sit overnight and I didnt have any fuel come out. Just was sittin on the sensor itself. Very little

Just did mine easy job 👍🏼 i depressurized the fuel system by removing the fuel pump relay and cranking it a couple times. P0193 gone.

@@rickmoreno2110u remove the, "fuel pump relay" from the computer box first like it says in the video. After its removed you turn the key about 3-4 times basically trying to start the car, that will "depressurize", the FUEL RAIL PRESSURE CENSOR so fuel wont splatter all over when u remove it for replacement. Then after replacing the FUEL RAIL PRESSURE CENSOR, u can put the "fuel pump relay" back into the computer box then start.

This is the reason I almost sold my entire car because I could not for the life of me figure out what was wrong, was thinking it was the fuel pump or filter and after $300 it wasn't those do I was about to give up

Also, one question.. would you have any idea why after I changed it, although the check engine light turned off immediately, I do notice a bit of roughness when idle, is that because of anything specific that I would have done wrong? Thanks!
Others have said the same thing. Make sure your connections and hoses are tight. It could be the aftermarket part. You can always call a Ford dealership and price out an OEM part from them. I once had a aftermarket part that made a clicking noise. An OEM part MIGHT make a difference. But no guarantee it will.
I have this same code along with p0305 cylinder 5 misfire on my 06 mustang it jaut popped up again this morning on my home from work after i got on it hard took it to red line in first was a massive jolt as i shifted to 2nd noticed rough idle when i got home plugged my code reader up to and got both codes (my cel dosnt worj so i have to check periodically for codes) had them both once before changed plugs and idk what the shop did for the p0193 code i dont think they did anything but it hadnt came back since until this morning could the p0193 be causing a cylinder 5 misfire too?
I didn't hear you say anything about the o-rings. How many should there be? There was one already in the hole and one on the sensor. Do you know if this is correct?
I will be replacing it on my day off after reading the comment that way the car is definitely not hot and spill gas everywhere
I am in the process of updating my wife's 05 Mustang V6 4.0L. Can you tell where to find the o-ring for the fuel rail so I can change them out also. I have most of the other parts to work on that area, but can't find anything on the internet for the o-rings on the fuel rails.
I replaced mine and now fuel is coming out from the line, I didn’t depressurize it at first either, I messed up, maybe I need a new solid line?

The best way to determine if it is the fuel rail pressure sensor is to have the car coded with a code reader.

the oring on mine keeps busting what could be causing that?
Did this give you problems while fueling up? I had a code pop up once that said fuel sensor but it won't come back on . But almost every time I fill up it stops like it's full even if it's empty. Any help would be very appreciated
No problem when fueling up. The fuel sensor is in the gas tank. It measures how much gas for the gauges.

@@YonkersLV Some early 2005 mustangs have a problem that causes the fuel nozzle to shut off a lot. There was a TSB for it, but I found that turning the nozzle upside down when filling up helps.
@@EricStephen1706 yeah every time I fill up in my 06 GT I turn the nozzle sideways and it fills up fine, weird that it works.

my part number is 3F2Z9G756AD, but i see other parts number such as 3F2Z9G756AC, 3F2Z9G756AA. can you tell me the difference?
Got P0163 codes but I think my wiring is incorrect. Read pin 2 is reference voltage? My pin 4 is ground. What are the readings at the connector with Key On only? Pins 1,2, and 3 please help thank you

Yes, unless you clear the code with a code reader or unhook the battery negative terminal for 10 minutes. Then the car will run the diagnostic again.
I just read the code P0193. My daughter said it stalled, would this cause the car to stall? I will replace it!
It can cause the car to stall. I would replace the part.
Is it possible to buy a new pressure sensor that is defective? I installed one and the car runs ok but I can’t get the code cleared out and the engine light is still on showing the same code
It is possible. Try clearing the code with a OBD II Code Reader. If you think the part is defective, you may want to call the parts department of your local Ford dealer and get an OEM replacement. Once the new OEM part is installed, you may be able to return the defective part for a refund.

No, P0183 is the Fuel Temperature Sensor.
Did y'all have to clear to the code after you installed the new sensor or it just went away
Unhook the battery for 10-minutes. That will clear all of the codes.
Can anyoneshow me where to hook a gauge to the fuel lines on a 4.0 to check the pressure.

Do not do this on the car is hot, like in the middle of summer even if your car has been off for like 2 hours and the engine temporary taught do not do this there is still pressure in that line

Try unhooking the battery for 5 minutes or clear the with a code reader.
I replaced this and I have the same code I disconnected the battery what do I do?
Get a code reader (AutoZone will code for free)… and clear the code. If it comes back after the drive cycle, you may have another issue.

It never hurts to disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Just replaced mines but when i turn the key, i can see gas between the bottom of sensor and fuel rail. Why???
The gasket wasn’t placed right most likely or it’s not on tight enough

If you disconnect the battery, it should go away as the computer goes through the coding process.
I’m at my giving up point. I’ve replaced this part, fuel filter, and the fuel pump. All the fuses and relay are good too. I just don’t know what to do other than take it somewhere spend another several hundred dollars…
I don’t know the history of you car, but it may have to be tuned. You might have to get a diagnosis from a mechanic.
