My videos show you how I make my resin art and the materials I use. I am not saying that you need to do it my way but only that this is the way I create my art.
please follow all safety instructions of the manufacturers. I can not be held responsible. Thank you.
Disposable syringes would work great on this design. I love the idea.
I watched someone make a ruffled edge bowl similar to yours and they put a marble between the bowl and the resin to hold up the ruffle while it was setting, it worked great! You could probably use any type of smooth glass ball or even oval shape.
After watching 2 of your videos, I can't wait to try one of my own!!! Thank you so much for your videos!!!!
Thank you very much! Happy creating! 🥰
Absolutely gorgeous. Going to try it!
Anyone trying this now may want to use shelf liner instead of tape. I use it for many odd shape items I paint to resin. Resin will not stick to it, it’s one piece, and it peels off sooooo easy!!
It’s absolutely beautiful
Thank you very much!
Very nice job fixing it
Beautiful, love the colours
Thank you!!
Absolutely beautiful😊
Thank you!
Beautiful bowl. Love the colors and the shimmer 👏🏼👏🏼🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️👍🏽👍🏽🌸🌸
Thank you!!
I also think Saran Wrap or like a shower curtain with a little glue stick on the edges, or a slight glue stick or spray adhesive. Interesting to know if it would work
Beautiful. Thank you for teaching us..
Thanks!!🥰
You should flip the bowl upside down or a cup and let the mold just fall the way it feels like it and let it dry. It may be easier to keep the shape with gravity but overall beautiful piece and I’ll have to try this technique
Thanks you!
Exactly what I thought!! She’s doing it the hard way.
Very pretty. Now, I gotta make me one. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks!
This is absolutely beautiful! 😍 Thanks for sharing your skill and knowledge.
Thank you for watching! 🥰
I think instead of pulling with the spatula I think trying to blow it out with a straw would be more natural then streaks. Just a thought. Otherwise it was like you just mixed them together, instead of bleeding them.
So beautiful
Thank you!!
So beautiful! Thank you for your tutorial as I'm just starting to resin. I will be making the bowl !
Thank you!! Happy creating!☺️
You could put plastic wrap around golf balls and put them down to hold your fluted edges
That's a great idea!!
Very pretty, I can’t wait to try it.
Thanks!!
That's just lovely.
Thank you!
It turned out beautiful!!!!
Thank you!
Love this.
This is cool and yes it is beautiful!!! I like the music ♥️rock on
Thank you for all the tips. I want to try this!
Thank you! I'm making another and the only thing that I'm doing differently is using Silicone around the parameter so that I can make the bowl a bit thicker.
Love it. Can’t wait to do one myself
Thanks Lydia! They are fun to make! 🥰
Very beautiful…Interesting, moulding it with heat is another tool to shape, I have seen when you turn the bowl over, and place the sheet of setting resin onto the bowl to drip down over which leaves uneven edges, cool but spiked edges. This gives you the shape with smooth edges. You maybe able to use the oven to help warm it up. I assume this is before it finally sets, (how long) 4 hours? To try and shape it? I would put parchment paper balled up underneath to help hold the sides up.
Yes, I've also shaped it the way you described, but with working etc., it's impossible to sometimes wait for that sweet spot to turn it over a vessel of some kind. Timing depends on the resin, I'd say about the six to eight hour mark.
Thanks for watching!
Haha "it doesn't get to cold here in Texas"

Parabéns e muito lindo.
Excellent video. Thank you!

Thanks so much! I'm on the West Coast, Vancouver Island, BC
Awesome!
Thanks!
You should jus come live in Georgia in USA we have pollen in springbwhere our cars and porches are green and from July thru September we are usually High ‘s degree sometime reach 100 and very high humidity. I don’t like cold or heat love spring and fall. Loving your videos.
Sooo beautiful and great idea 👏👏👍
Thanks, although credit for use of the placemat should be given to Julie Cutts @pouringyourheartout. I just executed it differently 🤗
Beautiful😍😍😍😍😍. Great work 👍👍👍
Thanks!!🥰🥰
That's beautiful 😍 ❤
Thank you!
Stunning ❤️
Thanks!
I really like this, it seems you should try a smaller bowl. Thank you I've learned today
I bought a bag of Styrofoam cones in two sizes & use those to shape my bowl.
Great idea!
LOVE IT
Thank you!!
Really Ver nice
Thanks!!
I was wondering if you sprayed it with alcohol if the placement would come off easier. Like you? Sprayed. Your moats to get you're a. Project out? Of the. Mode you? Sprayed alcohol in them before. Oh well just a thought l o l😊
Hi Beth. Possibly! I'll have to test that at some point. Thanks for watching! 🥰
Contact paper might work better than tape. It's beautiful.
Yes, I now use contact paper! Thank you!
Please can you show me which company brand are you using colored resin
I use many brands. I have micas from Meyspring, Eyecandy, Let's Resin to name a few.
hi! what kind of pencil is that? thanks!
It's an oil based paint pen 🙂
Beautiful bowl. Would you explain what you mean by 1to1 or 2 to 1. Learning about this art form. Thank you.
Thank you! In a 1:1 ratio epoxy, you need 1 part of Part A (the resin) and one part of Part B (the hardener). In a 2:1 ratio, you need 2 parts of Part A and one part of Part B.
I only use 1-to-1 epoxy resin. So, if I wanted to make 100ml of resin, I would pour 50ml of each Part A & B together. Hope this helps!
Use mold release and double stick tape
How long of wait did you give prior to shaping? 4 hours?
Toilet paper rolls under the folds top hold them in place while drying
Beautiful bowl,I would have put a bottle of resin instead of the rock. I hope you don’t mind the tip....It’s so so pretty
Of course not and thank you! 😊
Thank you Lisa Ball for the heads up! This is the complete video 😂😂😂
Yessss👽❤️👽
Can you use regular art paint or only micas
Yes, you definitely can! Just use it sparingly when mixing it into resin. I like using heavy body acrylic paints. I also use acrylic inks too.
It’s so beautiful and amazing. Do you teach on line. Please I need lesson if you can
I'm not currently but am thinking about it.
Gorgeous bowl! Can I ask what the purpose of the tape is? Would it work with only a silicone mat under it?
Hello! The tape keeps the resin from leaking. You could use shelf liner instead of tape as well.
@@RinirocksArtistry Ok that makes sense. Thank you for responding.
Love this!! Can I ask, what happens if you try to mold it before the resin gets to hard? Can that be done ?
Thank you! Yes it can and I've done it many times this way. You can drape it over a bowl or what have you before it has cured to touch. You just have to know your resin and it's curing time.
Would little balloons on the outside hold it in place.
Yes. Anything really. Some have suggested that I do it upside down but I like the shape I get doing it this way. I've made variations of this bowl several times now and I just use the Dixie cups to keep the folds in place.
hello and well done it's wonderful at what temperature is the heat gun set thank you
Thank you! Medium heat.
Hey Rini, I tried making this TWICE and both attempts were AWFUL! LOL Yours is beautiful!!
What happened?
@@RinirocksArtistry The first one ran all under the tape then the second I waited about an hour too long to check to mold it. Argggg lol
@@GulfCoastArtbyJenny well that sucks! Keep trying, I'm sure the third time will be the charm 💕 I have fails all the time and it literally makes me feel ill when I think about all the resin I've wasted 😳😂😂
@@RinirocksArtistry oh yea because the second one was HUGE!! 😡😂
I love your work and determination
Next time flip the bowl and let the resin fall naturally along the shap the you can put small bowls or glasses to orm the curls.
The project that went wrong are learning experiences.
You cold always cut the piece into small shapes to medallions, pendent or even bookmarks and coasters. You can even hammer down the pieces to make a wonderful. Mosaic.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
So beautiful. How long did you wait to take the tape off?😊. After applying the final resin how long you wait to finish this?
Thank you! I took the tape off once it cured to touch.
Would it easier to use a little pastry bag for the little details?
Yes, you could do that. 😊
What size was the vinyl mat you used?
I believe it was roughly 14"
First let me say I love your work. I have tried probably 10 times to do what you are doing in this video (take the placemat off the resin after it's dry), and I just can't do it! It falls apart, rips, or just won't come off. I have watched your video so many times, and am doing it exactly how you are (with heat gun etc). So, I watched 1 more time, and I noticed something; the bowl in the beginning at the preview, and the one you show as an example don't have the placemat taken out of them, correct? Just the one you are making in the video has it taken out. If that's the case, I'll leave my placemat in as well, because I like the bowls you show in the beginning, more than what you actually make in the video. Again, your projects are beautiful!
Hi Carrie. The placemats had been taken off both times. The only thing I did differently in the first bowl was that I filled each individual section in the centre to make a more defined design with the gold, although I must say it was very time-consuming. I'm not sure why it's not working for you 🤔 and as long as the placemat is vinyl, it should come off. Maybe you're pouring too much resin? You could also leave the placemat in as well as long as it's a pretty colour, of course. Thank you for your kind comments. Lately, I've been getting some pretty rude comments, and it's left me feeling anxious when I see someone has commented. I'm all open to constructive criticism, but some people are just downright, mean spirited and rude, and that's not who I am as a person 😔 Sorry, didn't mean to vent...have a great day and I hope it works out for you! 🥰
@@RinirocksArtistry I'm using 200 ml of resin, and vinyl placemats. It might be I'm impatient and try to take the placemat off too soon. I'll keep trying. Thank you so much for getting back to me, and I understand completely, people are awful. thanks!!
I was wondering if it is food safe? Could you add a salad dish or something cool such as fruit salad things like that, would it be safe for your food?
No. It is not food safe. Incidental contact only. That's why when I make my charcuterie boards I only resin just a small portion of it so that it can be used. I have seen other artist tout that they use foodsafe Resin but I'm not willing to vouch for that.
I'm new to this. But that is beauuuuutiful! Did you mix anything with the glitter? Did you use ink or what to make it so shiny?
Thank you! Just glitter and resin. Make sure that it's not too runny otherwise it will spread too much.
How long do you wait for it to cure between stages?
It's all dependent on the type of resin you are using. This one cured to the touch in about 8 hrs or so. I had to work and so came back to shaping it much later than intended. The easier way of shaping the bowl is to flip it over a vessel while it is pliable but not sticky to the touch. So that would mean around the 6 - 8 hr mark.
Wouldn’t it be simpler to use the bowl upside down.. then when you use the heat, the flow will.. WTH gravity.. pull down, making it easier to form & shape. 🤔🤔👍🏻
Yes, definitely, but because I left it to cure longer than I should have, that was not a feasible option at the time.
Where I can order these colors resin from which company please
You can order them from my Amazon Store. Link is in the description.
Why not but the bowl upside down and mold over it?
That would work too, but because so much time had lapsed from when I poured, it wouldn't have worked.
🎉how much are the big bottles of resin pĺz? Also wheres the best place to buy it? 🎉😊
You can buy through Amazon. I have a link in the description box. Depending on the quality, you can find resin that will fit your budget. The large bottles that I buy cost in and around $200 CAD.
Thanks for watching!
@@RinirocksArtistry ah thankyou ☺ 💓
Why could you use the cricket transfer sheets..maybe easier than tape...just thought
Is there a warm blue?
A warm blue just has purple in it as opposed to a cool blue that has green. I'm not sure if this is what your asking?
Is the resin you use food safe? Beautiful art!
I don't believe that any resin is truly food safe. Incidental food contact only and that's when the resin has not been mixed with colorants etc.
Instead of using the heating gun to shape my bowl I just put it under hot water. Just an idea!!
Great idea!
What tape do you use
I just used clear packing tape!
Where did you get the mat?
The one I'm using I bought from Dollarama but you can get them on Amazon as well. The link to them is in the description box.
She just said dolarama store
Couldn’t contact paper be used instead of tape?
Yes!
Yes contact paper
I was wondering the same. Thanks for the tip!
This one looks nice 👍🏼
I recently posted a video where I make my first resin bowl. With a random pattern. Very happy with the result. Feel free to check it out 😊
But yours looks very nice as well. Keep it up 👍🏼
Thank you, will do!!
It became a very good result! Are you using very slow curing resin? Actually you can use tape to hold the edges upstanding 🤩👍🏻
Thanks! Yes, the resin I use is slow curing.
Add a gallon jug of
Beautiful~ How did you get the edges to finish so smoothly when you finished pouring?
Thank you! I used scissors to cut it as round as possible and then gave the edge a light sanding.
Yes your missing the top
would not be easier to mold to the outside of the bowl
Yes, if I hadn't waited so long to shape it, but work obligations and all that got in the way.
You have chosen wrong size bowl.
@decor4homez - wrong size for what? She didn’t make it for you. Find something better to do with your time.
"I'm gonna speed this part up" and the music BLASTED out....not great if you're listening at night with sleeping people near you or if you're wearing earphones!!!!!!
