- The King has been diagnosed with a form of cancer, Buckingham Palace has announced.
The Palace confirmed the disease, which is not prostate cancer, was discovered while the King was being treated in hospital for an enlarged prostate.
The Duke of Sussex is to fly to the UK in the coming days to see his father and has spoken to Charles about his diagnosis, a source close to Harry said.
Buckingham Palace said the King personally called both Harry and the Prince of Wales - as well as his siblings the Princess Royal, the Duke of York and the Duke of Edinburgh - to share news of his health.

I am in remission now, but I hope with all my being, that Harry's visit will be psychologically beneficial for King Charles. I have put the cancer behind me, but my son's desertion has broken me. I agree with Tom Bower, and take it a step further. Not only would Harry have to make the most public and private apologies, but they would need to herald a major change of behavior. I, like Mr. Bower, have my doubts about whether Harry has the self-insight, or frankly, the maturity that is essential for such self-insight , that a sincere apology would necessitate. I know he’s the King’s son, but even though he should not be allowed to visit his father during this delicate time in his cancer treatment. Harry is in turmoil right now with many things going wrong in his life. Is he just going to visit the King to get more “info” for a docu series? Is he going to ask a vulnerable King for money? Is he going to try to weasel his way back into the monarchy while King Charles is still alive? If God forbid anything happened to the King (and I’m sure it won’t), Harry will be toast because his brother will not put up with his nonsense.
