I'm 72 years old and never took a great deal of interest in politics. This is the UK and pretty much everything operates within similar patterns - free education, free health care at the point of delivery, a balance between socialism and capitalism, each of us with different preferences and ideals. All we the public hope for is a positive and fair governance where we could see improvements to our standards of living and for a voice in the handling of our affairs within our country and the world. When no one is listening, people shout louder and when ignored, become frustrated and because it has gone on for decades, there becomes a point at which (to use a metaphor) blood boils. It’s obvious that no government in my 77 year lifetime has ever really listened to the people, that desperation creeps in and respect vanishes. Do governments work to serve the public or is that too much to expect? In my humble opinion there is no far right, just pushed too far!
