I was always playing the guessing game with mileage and how I was riding before the fuel light came on then the whole other game started how far you can go on the blinking light 🤣 super nice to have a gauge! 🤙🏼
Nice walkthrough, I like the dash buttons being on the handlebar. Nice change from having to push buttons on the screen itself like with MT07s 😂 Considering buying one once it's available in Europe
Is it worth it to you to get any of the few upgrades available from factory? They have the quick shift, shortened license plate tail, radiator protector, and not much else. I’m pretty new to riding but was looking into this bike since it has less power and $$ price than the R6 but looks like plenty of room to grow. Also on quick shifters, can you upshift normally like on streets since you shouldn’t need to have high RPMs like entering a highway that could make the quick shift beneficial.
Good question I would say no. Aftermarket tail tidies are probly cheaper and better, I’ve never done a radiator guard but I guess I’ve been lucky. As for quick shifters I haven’t heard anything good about it for the R7. My experience with a quick shifter is from my Ducati super sport s, it had both a quick shifter and auto blimper it was cool but not really practical or worth it for day to day driving. From my experience they are cool at high rpm riding the bike hard but not necessarily good on low rpm day to day driving that we will mainly do with these bikes. Hope this was helpful, cheers!!
no, don't get anything from factory. you can get a radiator guard cover from ebay/aliexpress for super cheap. same with short license plate holder. quickshift is not worth it. aftermarket levers also are not worth it - either cheap chinese ones or expensive ones. the stock ones work fine. save the money and use it on worthwhile upgrades (suspension, tires, maintenance) or an aftermarket exhaust (saves weight, better sound)
Will do oil change is coming next. It is such a hard decision I still can’t decide after the purchase which color I should have gotten 🤣, neither is a bad decision..cheers
@@boris2997 the problem is i think the same as you for sometimes, while some other days i'll think that midnight black looks cool too >.< haha, i think i'll go with the blue =)
1. Hold the SEL button 2. Still holding the SEL button turn on the bike(but don't start it up) keep holding SEL until the screen changes 3. Release the SEL button 4. Push SEL button twice, you will now see the tachometer 5. Push the RES button to change the tachometer to where you want the shift light to go off 6. Turn off the bike Hope this helps
Hi I was wondering if you by any chance know if the Rizoma stealth winglet mirrors meant for the R1 will fit the R7… I been scouring the net and RUclips but no one seems to know… just thought I’d ask another fellow R7 owner
Yeah I came across them from motonosity channel… I thought that from an aesthetic point of view they were the best looking… just praying they fit the R7 😭
the bike when crashed should not start right back up, there is a safety mechanism but they usually reset on there own and start up after a few trys. how did you bust the filter off?
@@ScoutsOut I ran over debris in the middle of the road it seems someone lost a ton of luggage. But it won’t start and we used the small portable battery jumper but still it won’t start…idk what to do.
I dont understand why they make the tank so small. removing the plastic tank covers on most modern bikes, you can see there's space for a larger tank. I used to get 350+km range on a Ninja 300. I feel like I'm refuelling maybe 1.5x as much on my MT07
Why didn't you run the battery tender pigtail to the trunk? Seems like you're kinda defeating the purpose of it if you still have to remove all that shit to charge the battery..
I rarely use a battery tender but I always use my heated jacket in the winter. The pig tail for the jacket was to small to run to the trunk then back to the front

Haha yep, I really wanted to push it further lol.
I'm actually waiting for my R7 to come in for purchase the next couple of weeks. This video was super informative. Can't wait to see more!
Nice!!! Hopefully you get one soon, I’m glad the vid helped…the oil change should be out this week too. Cheers!!!
How are you enjoying the R7
Keep the R7 content comming!
Will do man, thanks
A great edit buddy, the video is very nicely constructed and has great perspectives. Great bike and good work. Ride on and have fun
Thanks ck!! Much appreciated bud..cheers
Thanks for covering that up! If you're wondering what can be carried under the seat, that's a disc lock. Should fit :p
Your welcome, hopefully that will fit. Cheers

Thanks man, both my Kawasaki’s are the same way having to push a button on the screen to change something was annoying
Gonna be traidng in my gsxs-750 next year as I love the look of these and miss my playful mt07 😉 love the vids man 👍

Such a sexy bike! I can't wait for mine to come in next month!

For sure a radiator guard, it’s only a matter of time till you take a pebble to the grill! I’d say that and crash protection.
@@TypicalMT I've got 15 years riding and never had it happen

Thanks for all the comments and feedback man 🍻
I’m disappointed that there is no oil temp gauge as the oil takes longer to warm up than the coolant.
Yea that would be a good to have
Cool =) looking for more DIY/self-maintainance videos if possible, I'm stiln hesitating between blue and black 😩 it's so damn hard to decide LOL

Please please please could you explain for me how to set the shift light on this screen? Nothing online makes sense at all

I just got mine today how do you keep the daytime running lights on and the main light off?
Congrats bro!!! It just happens when you turn the key in but don’t start the bike
@@ScoutsOut thank you man ! I’m deff gonna sub your Channel! Keep up the good work! I thought maybe you can select it on or off lol gotcha Tks man
Thanks 🍻
Do you know how to change the display color? I swear you can change it from Black to white but I forgot how to do it.
Hmm I don't think you can on the r7, I'll look into it though
Is it possible to remove the blue sticker in the front you think?
Yes, I’ve been tossing it around. You can take that and the R7 stickers off they aren’t under a clear coat
@@ScoutsOut Are you going to keep them on?
Not sure yet, I wanted to when I first bought the bike but they have been growing on me

Do you know how the single-seater tail is mounted? 😅
No man I don’t, I’ve been wondering the same thing though since the key is how you get in
Can you change the color of the display?
No I don’t think so, would be cool though

Just pulled out the battery 🔋
Glad it was helpful 🍻
Hallo, what kind of battery is inside? Thank you
Hello!! It’s an LRVA nothing special about it just a lead acid battery
You can turn off the middle headlight?
no but it doesn't turn on unless the bike is running, if you just turn the key it won't turn on
My R7 shut off when I busted my oil filter. Was it a safety switch and how can I reset? Any help would be appreciated!!!

91, one of the manuals says 87 one says premium. I would put premium in it
