They look great! Nice upgrade and I just did some to my RS660. I’m always confused as to where I should place the pegs.
Thanks bro, I bet they are awesome o e the RS. I finally found good foot placement almost a year later constantly changing them lol
Love how in-depth this whole process was! Need more of this quality content till the R7 hits Malaysian shores 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks man, I appreciate that. Hopefully you guys get them over there soon
Do u need the stock measurement I thought the rod size might be longer. Aftermarket rear sets.
No, it’s good to have it at a 90* but really putting it in a position that works for your riding is what you should do
Hi, can you tell me where to buy the return spring and the banjo bolt for this, please? Thanks, i just got the Attack rearsets 😊
Please let me know when you find it man!
not sure as I don't want either of them on my bike. I did see that Vortex has one that might work if you want to check it out here is the name of it. Vortex Banjo Bolt Brake Light Pressure Switch
Not sure if I missed it.. but did rear brake light work?
No it doesn’t sadly, you would have to buy a few extra things to make it work
Hi, what setting did you end up with? How tall are you? Thanks
I just got mine installed. I'm 5'6" I think mine is in middle right now.
Man I keep changing it. I’m 5’10”, in about to go change it again the more I focus on the importance of using more legs and core on the bike the more I understand how much more important the rear set position is than the bars.
What you said about the ease of adjustments is exactly where woodcraft dropped the ball. Also, no need for a return spring, never had an issue.
I'm partial to Vortex.
Yea I was really shocked how unimportant the return spring was. I wish I had all the options to try, would make a fun series of videos to show all the goods and bass of each rearsets
Hi, How tall are you?
I'm asking as I am looking to buy an R7 and i'm 6ft 5.
Wondering if it provides enough room.
Thanks
Hi, I’m 5’10” 32”inseam I’m not cramped but you would really need to sit on one and maybe test ride, hope this helps
im 6ft 1 and fit perfectly on the R7.
Nice job on the vid as always Scout!!
Killing it mate... :D
Thanks Phil 🍻
Come to my city Aizawl, w'ell see if you still dont use the rear brakes.
👍🏼
I went with woodcraft because I live one hour away from them and its very very good quality
Not a bad choice, and that’s cool to be able to visit and check them out in person
I’m looking for a rear set that’ll allow an old man like me find a more comfortable position while still allowing me to enjoy the bike for what it’s for. I don’t need much but stock or more aggressive is a little too much for me. I don’t want an MT07 but I’d like to get closer to that position. Are these adjustable enough to give me that?
Yea I’ve found myself recently bringing them more forward from where I originally set them
Hi, is it possible to lower the angle of the toe peg of the rear brake? Thanks Scout
Yes, you have to adjust the nuts on the rod going into the brake master
@ScoutsOut thanks, hey, I just got Alpinestars Chrome Shoes, but the Attacks are too grippy, hard for me to shift gears, do u have same issues with certain type of shoes and/or boots? If so, what do you do?
I did at first especially with really soft and grippy shoes but I’m good with my riding boots now. You could lightly file them to take the sharpness off if it really bugs you
CAN YOU SHARE THE WEBSITE WITH ME TO BUY IT
Here ya go attackyamaha.com/124110b.html
Has anyone extended the rear end and widened the rear or heard of a kit on one of these like they do with the Hayabusa? before any one starts breaking my balls im just asking to see what’s out there cause I’ve got my 1st bike and learning any help or advice I appreciate
I haven’t seen a kit for it yet, but ill let you know if i do
Scouts out. Does the clutch side rearset have the shifter pedal the same as the oem? Trying to confirm the quickshifter will work with this rearset. TIA
Hey Jerry yea it work perfect with my QS you shouldn’t have any issues
Great video as per usual, are there any kits for the rearsets that come with a new return spring from your understanding?
Thanks man, yea I believe both the woodcraft and graves have optional parts to buy that do that
How long did it take you to get these I ordered them and my date just keeps getting pushed back now they are saying a month and when I bought it it was 3-4 weeks. Mine is for the R6 though
thats the only thing that sucks about them, I ordered mine over a month before I got them. I was going to Laguna seca to watch MotoAmerica and called them and asked if I can pick them up off the truck and got them there. They are worth the wait though
Takes a bit to get it all fine-tuned, depending how often you ride passengers take off the passenger pegs. Man I need that shop to rebuild my YZ motor, I live in an apartment, so I guess I'll do it in my living room 😂
Yea and of course i went out of town all week and hadn’t been able to finish setting it up, but the passenger pegs really need to go i never have a passenger anyway. Haha Apartment it is lol gotta do what you gotta do
Did u get rear brake light to work with rear brake peice?
No I didn’t, there are options out there for it I just personally don’t care to have one
@@ScoutsOut a banjo bolt is needed? Thanks
Yea I believe so
@ScoutsOut cool 🫘. Thanks. Love your videos bro. God bless 🙌
Sold! Thanks for the great video, looking forward to installing these.
Nice dude they are awesome rearsets! Glad the vid was helpful
Do the attacks keep clear of the yoshimura exhaust?
Yes they do!
link pls :)
attackyamaha.com/124110b.html
Good dudes, they run the MotoAmerica Yamaha team. Sometimes hard to get parts as most go to racers but they worked with me and I got a set
Thanks for your videos man, learned a lot of great stuff from you.
Thank you, I appreciate that. I’m glad they are helpful
As a 51 year old rider, I’d love to see the lowest and most forward setting that you can get with these sets.
I’ll see if I can measure them and let ya know
Thank you, that would be great! I’d like to know how much it varies from stock if you happen to know that number. I had this bike and regret selling it, I’d buy another in a heartbeat if I could get just a few more inches of adjustment downward or forward. I think that and some clip ons from Impaktech and I’d be fairly comfortable on it.
I’m new to motorcycle, what do rearsets do?
They allow you to change the position your feet are on the bike, as well as better feeling foot pegs and the ability to change out the parts that break in a crash
Can you lower these more than the stock ones?
Ohh yea so much movement in these and crazy how much change it makes after just one hole over. It took me a few tries to figure out where I wanted it to be but now it's perfect
That's very nice bro
Thanks man, I appreciate that
great video, they look much better than stock
Thanks bro, yea they sure do
Excellent breakdown bro
Thanks bro, I appreciate that
Nice job bro. Nice work area as well 👍
Thanks bro, I appreciate that
Hi there, did you find a solution for the rear break lights and return spring? (return spring is good in case you hit a bump and your foot slides and hits the brakes. It makes it a little difficult for you to down press when it is dangerous to do so. And a brake light in Australia is kinda a must for insurance and just stopping at a traffic light.
im honesly not looking for one, im good without it. I did see that vortex makes one, here is the name of it if you want to check it out. Vortex Banjo Bolt Brake Light Pressure Switch
@@ScoutsOut thank you! Appreciate the reply! I ended up going with the Bonamici rearsets.
Nice, have you installed them yet?
I got graves banjo bolt. My attack rearsets as well as rear brake light activation 😊
@@theprodigal7143 I ended up buying Bonamici rearsets. They are pretty cool, more adjustability but a little more expensive. The boys at the track swear by them. Amazing grip to!
