question...so you cut the orange wire and you take the "plug n play" that was connected to...and then you build a resistor that has the same amount of ohms as they key, weld it together and then thats it?? It just happend to me on my 95
look i have the same problem i even bought new fuel pump starter fuel injectors and battery so now i done what you did to a tee. car started back turning over but nothing changed no fuel or fire why. i have 92 rs camaro please help me bro
I just disconnect battery for few minutes . An reconnect and it work. Later found out my ignition switch where I insert the key has too much play. I just need to push in ignition switch in while I crank car
I have a 94 z28 with the lt1 in it my car wont start but the imformation panel wont light up ive tried doing this and no deal could somebody please help.. my car makes a click noise and its coming from under the hood on the abs relay thing in the fuse box .. and if you can help please explain in girl terms i do no somethings but obviously not enough cause my car still wont start. I put in new starter. Battery cables are clean no breaks in any of tge wires that i can tell. Oh ya and i did change the abs thing and checked all fuses .
U measure that straight of your keys chip using an ohms meter... all keys show a unique resistance..then buy a resistor with that same resistance or build one out of many to add up to that resistance.

Why not just carefully remove the resistor from the key(spare key) and soldier it in instead of all that mess

Try getting a new battery
Or try cleaning the battery positive and negative points and tighten them back up
