His setup would be lovely for some Vampire crabs as they are good with fresh water however he will need to tweek it a little for Halloween/Moon Crabs.

this is not a crab tank. The crabs will prob climb out of the tank using the filter. The crabs will also eat the plants. All in all not a workable tank n this guy has never kept crabs before.

These aren't vampire crabs. They are actually Halloween moon crabs. Similar but much different in size. Pretty similar care, but Vampire crabs are substantially smaller.

They have a better filter that pet smart sells that would be better for you to Stir the bottom and keep the Cloudiness of the water down don’t know if you seen them yet and you can set the flow just an idea if you don’t like how that one is working brother
Activated charcoal is an ammonia catch! At best you have you now have six months to throw out everything that is in that tank right now in start over or you will have a stagnant swamp no matter how often you change the water that activated carbon that you threw in there is going to fill up with ammonia and nitrate you have to get rid of it or clean it. If you have an autoclave I suggest the clay pellets with the activated charcoal inside the pellets. Yeah you need a moisture gauge for the soil to check whether or not you need to add water for the plants I use a misting machine and you need a waterfall Style biofilter for the pawn. In the most important part do your best to keep the land side separate from the Waterside because if so soil overflows into the you will be changing out your pond quickly and if all you are using is activated charcoal in the waterfall throw it out and get a new pack no big deal I buy the stuff by the quart or by the 20lb bag either way works
