    It's a long video and i enjoyed every minute of it! Thank you by the way for all your reviews. Just purchased my first e-bike and am thrilled with the choice I made. Couldn't have made an informed decision without your reviews. Ride on!

      Awesome! So glad you found a good one. My first ebike was bought online blindly and I felt really bad about it... was expensive and it just didn't have the feel or performance I wanted. Over time I got more info and it's just nice to share it and help people out

      Awesome, thanks Christopher! I tried to keep it minimal so as not to block the view but those stats can be pretty interesting... or maybe frightening when my heart rate BPM is 180 :P

    • @MaxPowersHedgehog

      Yes, I was wondering about that, I saw it get up there too!

    • @madeinuk68
      @madeinuk68 8 лет назад

      +ElectricBikeReview.com I used to sell gym equipment,and the general rule of thumb for the heart rate maximum,was to never exceed 220 bpm minus your age.So assuming your 40 years or under you are fine.For women it was 210 bpm minus your age.Obviously this is just a guide.But as a young man that does plenty of exercise you are fine.You did well,to still be able to talk.

    Just saw this video. We used to stay at the campground on Taft Hill Rd by where you crossed it. Many times were enjoyed going both directions on that bike path with our Giant La Free E-bikes. Specially to concerts and festivals in FC. Now that we are retired in New England we will watch your video while on our stationary cycle in the basement. This brought back so many wonderful memories. You videoed this the summer after we moved from Estes Park to here. Nice to see how they opened up the seating area for the free concerts in Old Town. You made me wish we could have afforded to retire in FC where I lived in 1976 thru 1980. Thank you for posting this!

  • @wjf213
    @wjf213 8 лет назад

    That was very cool and a lot of fun to ride along. It sure didn't seem like an hour and twenty minutes or so.
    I know what you mean about riding and being able to just stop and talk to people when you see some thing cool. I build Monolithic Dome homes and one time while I was building a double dome way out on a country road, well over a 100 riders came by over the course of the day, on some cross country tour thing, and many many of them stopped to check out the dome and see how they're built and take pictures. It was fun for them and us. They said the same thing, they loved stopping and talking to people and seeing cool things along the ride.
    Also, I'm really liking the stats at the bottom of the video. Keep up the great work.

    • @beyondfossil
      @beyondfossil 8 лет назад

      I would certainly like to see some bicycle (preferably e-bike) videos of Greece. I found myself actually specifically trying to find camera mounted bike footage on RUclips from various interesting places around the world. Places like Japan or from Peach Festivals in Ft Collins USA. :-) I'm eating a yummy white peach right now as I watch this!
      The bike's low point of view along with the bike's naturally quiet noise profile lets the viewer take in the actual sights and sounds from the locales the bike travels through. Bike footage makes it far more easily to get a feel for the place versus footage from a large motor vehicle or footage just a shot from a stationary location! Its just fun to watch.

    Hey Court.. How are things in Colorado.? I would love to have you do more blog on Ebike courtesy and when it is legal and not legal to use pedal assist. I know it varies from state to state. And if you were able to let us know where to look up the information in our local areas, that would be sweet.
    Hope things are well. Maybe you and your girl friend can make it to PDX while the weather is beautiful. Our bike trails/paths are amazing this time of year. The both of you are welcome to stay.
    BTW: I have been to Fort Collins 3 times for irrigation shows with my father years ago. We stayed at the Holiday in and visited several agricultural dealers. Take care my friend. R

    Hey Court,
    Thanks for doing this. What a beautiful place Fort Collins is.
    Such friendly people too. And thanks for the guided tour of Old Town!

    Do you attach it on your helmet?
    Thanks again!

      Hi Kamlesh! I grew up near Fort Collins and still have family in the area (who I have been visiting). I used a wearable 3 axis gimbal custom mounted the chin of this helmet: electricbikereview.com/accessories/bell/super-2r-mips/ along with a Garmin Edge 1000 to collect data :)

    Sweet video! It's nice to see different parts of the world in HD, and with informative commentary. Everything looks clean and well maintained. Looks to be pretty dry over there, at least compared to the constant monsoon rain we've been getting in Scandinavia. Fracking sounds like a terrible idea, shame on Colorado! BTW, at 1:12:30 what did you mean by "oh, a diesel pumper"?

    • @atlasking6110
      @atlasking6110 6 лет назад

      Fort Collins is an amazingly clean city. It's officially semi-arid so it's pretty dry but there's a fair amount of rain, especially in April and May. But yeah, it's a very clean, well-maintained city. The unemployment rate is VERY low here. When everybody works, they tend to take care of things.

    Hello, what are you using to measure all the parameters whilst riding?

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  2 года назад

      Hi Kasey! I think I was using a Garmin and their computer software allows trips to be synced with data that can be overlaid in a video. It might have been the VIRB, but I don’t remember exactly. I tried it a few times, but it was pretty tedious and I stopped doing it. Here’s more info www.garmin.com/en-US/p/153276 I mostly use GoPro cameras now.

    So I didnt know there was such a thing as an ebike but when you have the electricity on, what happens to the pedals/your feet when the electric bike is on? Also how long does an average charge last and how long does it take to charge to full batteries?

    Do you find that while riding in the bike lane oncoming vehicles or vehicles at stop signs are not expecting a bike to be traveling close to 30mph and cut in front of you thinking they have plenty of time to make the turn or get across the intersection? That is my fear of riding so fast in the bike lane.

    The trail system in FoCo is second to none. I enjoy at least part of it almost every day. It's a real treasure. As for fracking, it is one of the reasons CO is so wealthy. Just look at states like NY that have outlawed fracking and have fallen way behind economically. Fracking also primarily benefits our fellow Coloradans in the western part of the state, where they do not have all of the economic advantages we have on the Front Range, so let's let them have theirs. The whole state benefits in the end.
