The story itself left me reeling, disturbed and a bit disgusted but you make a good point. “Cold ugly feel” is exactly what I still even a few hours later. I came back for a second listen, however, because it was such a great narration and the extra background sounds really DO enhance the experience. Music is great but wow, did the sounds make me feel like I was drawn in deeper.
This is my favorite soundtrack out of all your videos. As a fan of both industrial music and Akira Yamaoka's compositions for Silent Hill, this such a PERFECTLY unnerving combo of the two. Holy shit I love it so much This story would normally seem a bit silly, I think, but your flawless narration and use of sound effects turns it into a real nightmare. Absolutely well done. I have kind of an acute fear of the concept of "weird fast food place that wants to kill you" after having this creepy phase in my early childhood, where I had gory nightmares for about a week straight about a cannibal fast food joint that secretly uses human meat. Ever since then, this sort of concept has touched a nerve in me that makes me feel sick to my stomach. So, naturally, between that and the cosmically disturbing atmosphere you've created here, this has gotta be one of my favorites!

This was fantastic! As someone with a vivid imagination, this was indeed a vivid experience. I think you did some fantastic work and I’m really glad my friend suggested your channel.
Holy fuck is all I can say. The author honestly unsettled me more than Stephen King ever has; I honestly love that we didn’t get (SPOILER SO QUIT READING YOU COMMENT READERS IF YOU DON’T WISH TO RUIN THE STORY) a true conclusion to whatever the weird meat maker creature things were, that we were left with the protagonists giving in (personally, I would’ve killed myself over eating that disgusting shit any day, knowing what awaited me). It started off slow, but weird straight away before building into even further weirdness and growing horror. I love the wackiness of the monsters (or whatever they were) as it was a nice change from the constant depictions of Lovecraftian creatures that our minds can’t truly comprehend and we either are mentally destroyed or like, fucked up in some shape or form after witnessing it. I can’t stop imagining what was in the portal, but I assume since the narrator was laughing it must have been some stupid ass cartoony like bullshit. The sausage grinder monster and the “bbq bitch” remind me of the Alice: Madness Returns game thanks to how strange they are. And lastly, am I glad I found your read of this first. The music, that deep bassy throb was amazing and tense, a nice break from the usual background sounds. I’m also glad I don’t have issues with gross noises, but the graphic descriptions of some of the things in the story churned my stomach more than the sounds, specifically the “buffet” part and when the protagonist was captured by the sausage grinder and the vile imagining of writhing meat gunk probing at eyes and mouth and just *gag noise*. Amazing narration Dark!
Just listened to this with my boyfriend, we made it through and I've gotta say, your sound design skills never fail to impress me! I think I am going to be a bit more cautious of what I eat now though. You know, just in case..

AMAZING! This is a blast from the past. I love how visual this story is and you did an AMAZING job with the ambiance (music? I wanna call it that bc the metallic sounds are so rythmic) of the "processing plant." When protag walks into the green door, I'd almost like some chattering sounds along with the chewing noises 8^| but saying is easier than doing. I'm thrilled to see this story given new life. This was one of the first stpries that really struck me in my "creepypasta revival" stage in my late teens. The author is vividly imaginative, and I found that inspirational. Oh wow. The sound design on this one is super intense, had to stop around 8 minutes in. If the rest of this is gonna be like that then this is gonna be interesting to sit through lol. Nice work!
Dude! I love this story! The descriptions alone without the sound effects were nasty enough! He just had to go and add the additional ear drum rupturing nastiness!!! @Darksomnium, you are amazing!!
This was one hell of a fever dream of a story, and a great one read by a great narrator. I especially appreciate the sound design and background noises, it really made the story come alive and added to the gross-out factor, and doing sound design is fucking hard so to get it so spot on is amazing. Do you have a specific way of going about sound design? It's something I'm (slowly) learning about, and would love to hear your process! I know that question is vague as all hell, but I'm not sure what the right words are for this sort of stuff.
Really loved this one! The sound effects, Narration, and overall very interesting story made for a wonderfully unique experience, keep up the good work. I would love to hear some more oceanic/thalassophobic stories in the future, but either way I'll always be sure to come back here for the best spooky story stuff!

I've listened to this story before, but I can't wait to hear what *you* have to bring to the table for it! You're easily my favourite scary story narrator since you always immerse us into these stories with your sound design.
This mostly just reminds me of Little Nightmares. It's alright, it was a bit too absurd to call it scary though lol. But of course, amazing narration as always!
Hey I was reminded of that too before I even saw your comment! This story reminds me of the fat guests shoving meat down their throats on the Maw! It's really disgusting.
As someone with misophonia I'm so upset I'm going to miss this... but "eating" noises are a major trigger for my rage so I deeply appreciate your fore warning.
I love this style of a thumbnail, I hope future videos have more unique thumbnails. I dont see anything wrong with the current ones I just think changing it up is always cool
This was so incredibly surreal and dreamlike. The disjointed nature of it left one with a sense of helpless - a quality that nightmares often have. The audio was equally delightfully abhorrent. I made it through, and it was worth it. The steak was definitely worth the sizzle, as it were.
i have misophonia, but it's most often triggered by loud noises, or those sound effects that spin around headphones really fast, so i'm going to take my chances for this. really cool that you're giving a warning for this, i dont see very many people that even know what misophonia is, let alone giving a warning for something that might trigger it
Aye dark sommium I'm interested in starting my own horror Channel what editing program do you use? I like the quality of you're story's that everyone else seems to lack its refreshing content.
Ah wow this was great! I love the variety, as this seems like less creepypasta and more like a very weird and inspired cosmic horror sci-fi story, and it was so damn good. The writing was excellently descriptive, precise where it needed to be and leaving things to the imagination where it should. That's so hard to get right and I'm truly impressed. The narration was awesome as always and the sound effects so perfect. The music was so on point for this one and it just keeps getting better with every video. Thank you so much to everyone involved in bringing me this experience. I was skeptical of it for a few days as it looked so different from the material I'm used to watching this channel for, but I'm so glad I gave it the chance it deserves (kind of like finally watching 'Arcane' for the first time). Thanks a thousand times to Jonathan Wojcik, The Dark Somnium, and all others involved in making this experience. It has made my gloomy morning and now I'm ready to face the day with a smile.
Yo! Finally catching a video early so I can comment. I wanted to say that I have listened to Creepypastas for I want to say the last 8 years, with gaps in between. I can't believe that your channel flew under my radar for so long. I have been binging your content for the last few months and I wanna say how much I appreciate the effort you put into these videos. It's really refreshing and has got me back into it. Thanks!
I read this story years ago and had totally forgotten about it! It really disturbed me then and it is still creepy now. Great work as always. The new sounds + the nostalgia factor really did some work on me.
this story honestly made me laugh quite a few times. it was so ridiculous, it felt like it should be a video game once he gets to the factory. I liked it, but just not in the way I was expecting. your production value is amazing as always! I'd never be exposed to any of these stories without your amazing narration! I also like the variety in the stories you choose. Not all of them are my favorites (though I liked this one the more I thought about it, it is really funny lol) but no matter what you give it your all and give the story its best chance to shine! great content here, love to be able to feel the passion for it in your videos, keep it up
This was fantastic man 👍. Very immersive. Great weird and bizare story, and perfectly narrated. WIth the background, both music and sounds, made this one of the best vivid stories👍. Thank you.
Made it all the way through, that wasn’t that bad and the narration was great as usual but the story was really not anything special at all. This one could have been really good if it weren’t so intent on trading plot points for gross out sounds and the now cliche’d “un-happy ending” that is so common now that an ending in which the protagonist wins, or at least doesn’t lose, is a rarity. The author set up a really interesting plot point with the little goblin things being an enemy of the higher ranking beings in the facility, but then did absolutely nothing to expand on that. I’ve read and listened to creepypastas that I enjoyed so much I’d say they were as good as anything by Alfred Hitchcock or Richard Matheson, my two favorite suspense / horror writers.
This story is actually part of a much larger universe I made that encompasses an ongoing webcomic and around a dozen other connected stories, the little "goblins" being a recurring element through some of them. They're seen as vermin by higher-reality beings but are often helpful towards human protagonists, I still haven't given them a clear explanation because I like it being ambiguous but what I lean towards is that they may be the last degenerated remnants of another world that didn't survive.
I've been looking for this specific story for a while!! I was randomly reminded of it a while back and couldn't remember the name, or much of anything about it, and searching for it did nothing to help
This is insane and better than any horror movie, they couldn't make it look the way everything is being visualized by the story itself, the perfect, sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat narration and the sounds, omg the sounds... decades of horror movies/stories got me numb and immune to the thrill but damn you did it yet again. Masterpiece 🖤
I finally finished it! And every single time I forgot that this story is so stomach churning that I couldn't eat (I enjoy meals while listening to your stories, usually. Usually.) But nevertheless, fantastic display of horror
Anyone else reminded of the Invader Zim universe? The people are driven only to mindless consumption and the food there is always portrayed as disgusting/ horrific: public school food that seeps into the children's eyes, delishus weenie, the pork curse, the alien fast-food restaurant Zim is enslaved in, the morbidly obese pizza pig mascot, *and so much more.* *shudder*
I rarely comment, and I always forget to like but this absolutely deserves some appreciation. Your narration is just absolutely wonderful. The emotion you put into each line of dialogue is just unmatched by any other spooky scary story narrator. The author did phenomenal with this story and you only made it better with the sounds and by god the music was amazing. I think the last creepy pasta I loved as much as this was Penpal. While, admittedly I don’t read a lot of ‘em, you’ve made this one special. Keep up the fantastic work.

You know, just in case..
thank you :)
Idek how you do it but every time I listen to one of your videos, I can actually see what's happening. I've never been able to picture things too well but I know exactly what these things look like. Kinda freaking me out XD good job dude 👏
Ty lizzy haha :)
7 minutes into the story and absolutely convinced this is what the metaverse will be like
The sound design in this one is a god damned delight! I'm gonna go listen to the whole thing again.
Got to the end, that was one of the best stories I’ve heard so far, as absolutely bizarre as it was.
This story is something that Junji Ito would love! I can't picture him making a manga of this story and everything! Anyone else agree?
I mean "can"! SORRY!😖
Exactly what I was picturing when I listened to this story, the ending hq type thing reminded me a lot of the ending of uzumaki and I imagined the creatures to look like the weird swollen body at the end of the enigma at amigara fault! 👍
I'm glad you brought this back with such a pleasantly digestible (lol, pun) performance
The robot cooks voice makes my brain go brrr I absolutely love it
Dude, this is one of the best stories I’ve had the pleasure of listening to in quite some time! Exceptionally creepy, gives me “feed the pig” vibes.
My favorite is either stolen tongues or the thing in the basement is getting better at mimicking people u should definitely check those out
@@sebastiangreen2364 bro the thing in the basement is one of my faves, definitely a good recommendation
This was one of the top stories of yours inmy opinion, the author has insane skill to make such an idea turn into a nearly haunting ordeal. The sound design was intense, the narration was flawless, the entire experience was superb. You most definitely deserve 10x the amount of subscribers. There's some good channels on here sure, but your videos have passion infused and that's why your channel stands out. Thank you sir
ohhh this is one of my favourite stories of all time!
even cooler when Somnium takes it on :D
I would love to know what you think of my narration :)
Yeah, I’d been searching for it to re-read recently so it was a stroke of good luck to stumble upon this. Great stuff.
@@Darksomnium oh this one absolutely BLEW ME AWAY! narration itself is top tier as usual but my oh my, those sound effects... makes me shudder but in a good way >:)
Bro, this is why even if you dont think it'll be super useful you should still bring a shotgun if you're going into a evil lair
as the author, bullets wouldn't do enough! You have to really be able to smash or chop up most of these beings.
This longer videos are PERFECT!!
Thank you for all the work you’ve been putting in for us, don’t be afraid to take a break man you deserve one 💜
Great story man! And yeah that was on the level of “Tales of the dogscape” disturbing. Also that one story about the mushroom spores making people do “weird” things 😂 I love it all, thank you for all the beautiful work you create for us!
What’s the name of the mushroom one?

i really liked this story for the simple fact that there was no explaining of the situation just a diary of one of the unlucky ones who didnt got snatch'd with delusion and of course the sound was really good i dont have problems with sounds and stuff so i just work'd perfectly for immersion really good work as always
Ive listened, and relistened... To all of your stories on spotify, and most on youtube. Been waiting for this and it's finally here. Great job with se sound design. The ticking when tension was building and the din of chewing when behind the green door transported right into the world. Well done as always. You are the best
Honestly this story is an underrated masterpiece
This might be my favorite creepypasta ever, the writing and immersion was superb! Your voice acting, music choices, and sound effects really added so much layers to this amazing story. I definitely want to write a story that's inspired by this.
Thank you mate. Thank you so much.
Oh wow. The sound design on this one is super intense, had to stop around 8 minutes in. If the rest of this is gonna be like that then this is gonna be interesting to sit through lol. Nice work!
Yeah that eight minute mark was difficult. I’m glad I’m not using my earbuds!
@@thehutch7728 oh yea its so much worse with earbuds, definitely has the intended effect though...
My childhood of watching Invader Zim served me well in withstanding the sounds of this episode.
Bro same💀
Bruh I was up till 4 am waiting for this
Sorry to keep you waiting! I had some issues with RUclips processing it and had to re render the video
Dude! I love this story! The descriptions alone without the sound effects were nasty enough! He just had to go and add the additional ear drum rupturing nastiness!!! @Darksomnium, you are amazing!!
“If you actually make it to the end of this story”
This ain’t my first one of your stories, pal
haha xD
If you liked this, I highly recommend Jonathan Wojcik's book RETURN OF THE LIVING, even though it's not as gross.
I found your channel 3 years ago and I have just been amazed at how much you've grown the past few years not only in your narrating skills but also in music production and everything else, you are one of my most cherished RUclipsrs, and I am proud to see your channel hit 1 million one day!
Is it weird to say that this whole story makes me incredibly hungry? I mean sucking the gums off of horse teeth is absolutely gross but I just really want a burger from Five Guys.
I've listened to this story before, but I can't wait to hear what *you* have to bring to the table for it!
You're easily my favourite scary story narrator since you always immerse us into these stories with your sound design.
Oh my god, someone is finally doing this story! Thank you!
This was brilliantly funny and gross. I can't stand mouth noises but the narration and sound design was worth pushing through it 😂
This mostly just reminds me of Little Nightmares. It's alright, it was a bit too absurd to call it scary though lol. But of course, amazing narration as always!
Hey I was reminded of that too before I even saw your comment! This story reminds me of the fat guests shoving meat down their throats on the Maw! It's really disgusting.
I came into the comments just to see if anyone else got the “Little Nightmares” vibe. Glad I’m not the only one.
This was a fun one. I listen to these while I draw so I appreciate the extra long ones.
FINALLY the best creepypasta ever narrated by one of the best creepypasta narrators
BROOOO HOLD ON. Bogleech wrote this!!! Well now I know for a fact I'm going to enjoy it.
You are my favorite content creator on this platform by far. You are amazing at narrating these stories and your music is just BEAUTIFUL!
i have misophonia, but it's most often triggered by loud noises, or those sound effects that spin around headphones really fast, so i'm going to take my chances for this. really cool that you're giving a warning for this, i dont see very many people that even know what misophonia is, let alone giving a warning for something that might trigger it
Aye dark sommium I'm interested in starting my own horror Channel what editing program do you use? I like the quality of you're story's that everyone else seems to lack its refreshing content.
thank you! i use adobe audition :D
Keep up the great work :)
ty!
The sound design on this one is amazing! Really brings the whole story together and sets the scene. Incredible work my dude.
The new sounds + the nostalgia factor really did some work on me.
came for the stories, stayed for the superior audio quality and sounds effects! wonderful narration as always, Somnium 💕
this story honestly made me laugh quite a few times. it was so ridiculous, it felt like it should be a video game once he gets to the factory. I liked it, but just not in the way I was expecting. your production value is amazing as always! I'd never be exposed to any of these stories without your amazing narration! I also like the variety in the stories you choose. Not all of them are my favorites (though I liked this one the more I thought about it, it is really funny lol) but no matter what you give it your all and give the story its best chance to shine! great content here, love to be able to feel the passion for it in your videos, keep it up
Awesome story!
Quite grotesque, but really awesome!
This is really something new, truly one of a kind
Keep up the great work!
This was fantastic man 👍. Very immersive. Great weird and bizare story, and perfectly narrated.
WIth the background, both music and sounds, made this one of the best vivid stories👍. Thank you.
Man I love these long videos you do keep up the good work
Ty!
They're seen as vermin by higher-reality beings but are often helpful towards human protagonists, I still haven't given them a clear explanation because I like it being ambiguous but what I lean towards is that they may be the last degenerated remnants of another world that didn't survive.
the sound design on this one is nuts! thanks for the hard work my friend you’re doing great (:
I've been looking for this specific story for a while!! I was randomly reminded of it a while back and couldn't remember the name, or much of anything about it, and searching for it did nothing to help
Glad you were able to find it!
Eh, second half was just smashing different foods with a shovel
i love this story, this is one of my favourite videos of yours!
I have misophonia but I'm still listening because I enjoy your narration enough to suffer a little lol
can't lie I loved this one
Also, out of all the music you've made, the particular music in this story is the best, and easily my favorite.
I finally finished it! And every single time I forgot that this story is so stomach churning that I couldn't eat (I enjoy meals while listening to your stories, usually. Usually.) But nevertheless, fantastic display of horror
Anyone else reminded of the Invader Zim universe? The people are driven only to mindless consumption and the food there is always portrayed as disgusting/ horrific: public school food that seeps into the children's eyes, delishus weenie, the pork curse, the alien fast-food restaurant Zim is enslaved in, the morbidly obese pizza pig mascot, *and so much more.*
*shudder*
I've listened to this so many times, saved it to favorites. This is just amazing in all ways.
thank you :)
Why the fuck is this story making me so hungry
This story never ceased to surprise me…and the background noises made it all the better! I love it!
Glad you liked it!
nooooooooo all the sounds kept making my brain twitch and itch lol
As always...superb. The imagery words helped me paint a clear picture in my mind of EVERYTHING. Thoroughly enjoyed the story. Sequel?? 😁
Gross 😂 but I was laughing... beach ball of a head. Lol 😂😂😂😂 I'm dying oh man... the way he said "fuuuuuccccckkk" in slow motion when he saw the burgerman.. 😂😅oh my gosh... 😮this is very comical i gotta say..
The goblins attacking the robot was honestly amazing, I did not expect that
great story, amazing narration, had so much fun listening to while i make breakfast for my grandparents. i can't say the same for them tho :D
Somebody PLEASE make this a video game
It gives me my little nightmares vibes :D
