I saw an Amtrak Downeaster on the south side so may be an Amtrak equipment move soon. Good Video as always!

Thank you for this great video ! It is so practical and sensible to have a northbound train with the cab car leading. Do MBTA run any trains out of Boston South station with a cab car leading ?

Agreed! And no, all sides, everyday all trains lead with locomotives going outbound!

Great video! Does the MBTA use these "hurricane" trains at other times or for other reasons? I've seen a couple of control-cab-forward trains going outbound on the Fitchburg line, and wondered what was going on.

Yes! I used “hurricane” as an example, however, they use them for any high wind/percipitation rain storms as well as major snow storms! They used them last week, which is what i bet you saw

@01:52 -- That is some seriously bad track.
With respect to which end the locomotive was on, I wonder why back in the 1980s when the T still had partially demotored Budd RDCs that they were using as coaches, the trains using these had the locomotive (always an FP10) on the inbound end, even after they had switched the orientation of the other trains to have the locomotive on the outbound end?
