My first detector was a $50 amazon cheapy and it worked great. It found a lot of stuff. It just did not tell me how deep anything was or anything like that. But a less expensive detector to see if you are going to actually go out and use it can be a great idea.
I remember watching your videos with it. I think $50 would be a more fair price for this one. But hey, if it beeps you’ll find stuff🤷♂️ I think if I was going to spend $150 I’d get the Nokta Find X. I might get one now just to compare, then give both away.
Try flipping the coil up unstead of down and it should fit in the bag.🤔

I started detecting with a Minelab GoFind 66. Great little machine. Perfect in dry sand, but it freaked out nearer to the waterline. The display is excellent too.
A nice changeup from the usual! The horrifically slow latency (delay between target & beep) is infuriating. The faster the swing, the worse the effect. Add the immediate (& permanent?) meltdown after touching ocean water makes this Panky an expensive toy, not a good intro machine for potentially serious hobbyists. I'm astounded that it has 4.3 AMZ stars with 4.5k ratings. 😮 The best thing in the box was the shovel. 🤪
I’d like to do more review videos to mix it up. I know some people absolutely hate those videos, but I enjoy doing them.
Yea that slow recovery is wild, and the fact that they wanted me to highlight that is hilarious. I tried turning it on the next day and it still falses, not as bad, but I think it’s toast. I’m sure most of those reviews are bots or paid to say something nice 😅 the shovel is nice though, it’ll go in my camping stuff. 😆

I’d probably take the bounty hunter over this one. That saltwater freakout was just too much 😂 3 days later and it still hasn’t recovered 🤕

No instructions? WOW. Good thing you knew what you were doing. Someone who has never done it before, may have a hard time. To bad.
It came with instructions. But it’s very self explanatory. Only 2 buttons that do anything. It’s basically as complex as a flashlight or an alarm clock.
The recovery speed reminds me of the detectors of 1970's. A kid might even be discouraged if you gave them one of these. The accessories don't make it any better, though kids are into that kind of thing now days. I would say, if you don't want your kids interested in metal detecting, get them this machine, might be a selling point, who knows. lol Only a kid that have a drive for it would benefit from trying this machine. The falseing would have turned me away as a kid but, I was a kid in the 70's. Get them a quality lower-level detector if you want to give them a chance at learning a love for doing it. (just my opinion but, those are like a**holes, everyone has one)

That was painful. As a teenager in 1974 (yes, I am that old) I bought a "Jetco Mustang" detector that had one knob. The knob turned it on and adjusted volume; period. I think it was slightly superior to this machine. I found an Indian Head penny once and my brother borrowed it and found an 1853 Large Cent. However, he found the coin after sitting down on a sandbar in a creek and it poked him in the ass. The detector had nothing to do with it other than he went there to metal detect and it poked him in the butt for his efforts.

I have a $60.00-$80.00 one and it’s already picked up a ring and change and it’s really good finding aluminum, 😂 so I would say my cheapo is better than that hanky panky 😂 ✌🏼❤️

I got it on Amazon. The brand is “stingray”. But honestly it doesn’t fit too good with larger headphones.

Try changing the batteries to a new pack of Duracell 9v. Bad batteries will give false readings.

@MontereyMagnetMan that's about that I would expect out of the Kaiweets detector we were sent to review a few months ago. Wouldn't be surprised at all if we opened the both up and they were identical internals.

I bought that Pancky kit, then found and bought a Simplex+ in a pawn shop. Now the grandkids detect with me, though we’ve hardly used them yet.
What machine would you recommend to buy? I want to get one that's not super expensive, but reliable and has a fast recovery time. Also, have you ever searched DeLaveaga Park? I would think you could find alot there?
I would recommend the Nokta Find X or Find X Pro. Both are a similar price as this one and are made by an actual detector company. Or you can do Minelab Vanquish 340, I believe those are still under $200. I haven’t tried that park yet, I’ll add it to my list of spots 🤙

The more expensive machines are definitely more capable. But you can get a good one for around $400 that’s waterproof and all that

@@MontereyMagnetMan LOL It is hard to get something for free and then bash it bc its cool that someone would even want to send something .... but then I was also thinking it is probably a whole AI company down to the email / packaging / production and probably no ones feelings to even hurt and if that was the case it could be easily stated that it is Crap and they have totally ripped off the look of the Vanquish and for the same price you can get a Vanquish. It was super quality for entertainment tho, I was crying laughing many times through out the day , especially thinking... what were they thinking having a professional metal detector review it?... like if we could just get it in the hands of 3M we could take over th game? or are they already printing a box that says, Owned and Operated by Monterey Magnet Man , or maybe even going so far as to use a pic with you on the box. These thoughts had me crying LOL and also the live stream until a ring is found.... better call off work LOL
lol yea that company definitely seems like it’s ran by robots. The emails they send sound super weird. I sent them a link to the video when it was still private and they called it “charming and sweet” … they didn’t even watch it 😂 Their website looks like they hired some JC Penny’s catalog models to walk around with the machine, they look so lost. But yea it’s just a fake vanquish made out of a lawn chair. 1 out of 5 stars… do not recommend 🤣

Daniel can you explain what you mean by recovery ? I know nothing about detectors . I think you were too kind on your review . It seems to me it was 💩 . I wouldn't buy it honestly .💙🩵🥰
Recovery speed is the speed in which the targets are recognized by the detector. For example if you have a few coins placed a close together you should be able to hear each coin if you have a high or even moderate recovery speed. But with a low recovery speed it kinda turns the grouping of targets into one big sound. Low recovery speed is good if you want to go deep in areas with few targets, like the beach. High is good for areas with a lot trash and shallow targets like a park or schoolyard.
