@@sarahjneve ohhh wow, i am planning to backpack europe this april to may 1 month. And im torn between checking in my backpack or not. Its osprey kestrel48 though idk if they would allow me to hand carry it. And maybe i need more layers coz its spring?
I feel like a 48 would probably be fine, it depends what airline it is though. I went April to May as well and it wasn’t too chilly. I don’t think you should check it if you don’t have to, I checked mine once and it got ripped :/
@@sarahjneve oh wow, i was thinking also to just bring my deuter futura 60+10 if ill be bringing some goodies and snacks from my country (Philippines) to some of my friends in europe who also met while travelling. If thats the case then maybe i need put it in a packable duffe bag for extra protection. My plan is entering through denmark and go south to germany, Switzerland and italy. Do you think 1 puffer jacket and some sweater is enough?
@gOdfreYkJ yes I think that’ll be enough! You can always layer lighter clothes. I would highly recommend bringing as little as possible because even double backpacking with a 40L and a regular backpack got to be too much, you’ll very quickly realize there’s a lot of things you don’t need!
I think most people would consider having only carryon luggage for over a month of travel to be pretty minimalist! Have you traveled with even less for such a long period?

Nope it was my carry on bag! I had a regular backpack as my personal item
