Middlesbrough Security Reaction to filming. And Special Agents too!!

  • BE WARNED. IF YOU’RE GOING TO COMMENT WITH STUPIDLY TROLLING REMARKS, THEN YOU’RE GOING TO GET WHATEVER SHIT COMES INTO MY MIND FIRST, RIGHT BACK AT YOU.
You don’t have to agree with what I do, you don’t have to like it. But you can block my videos from even appearing in your feed and then you don’t have to watch.
Middlesbrough Security and members of the public have an aversion to being filmed- yet remain on camera.
I was filming outside of this centre and had had no interference from anyone originally, including the two street wardens that are featured, but was aware that the Dundas Street private security had been watching. Turning my camera off, I headed through the centre to my car and was approached by the security who told me that I couldn’t film in there (even though I wasn’t) and that they would stop me, “put me down and smash the fucking thing”.
Obviously I’m then going to start recording, and that would have been the shortest film i’ve made...until they followed me outside.
Apparently everyone in Middlesbrough has protection against being filmed in public, but they obviously want to be on camera.
A half hearted apology to the female that I said I would edit out. I don’t have the software to do it and I’m against editing because she chose to stand there knowing I was filming and then got involved with the video- makes her as fair game and as stupid as the goons trying to assert their
    assumed authority.
Previous day... • Security do not allow ...
I’d also like to clear something else up as well.
There is no law that prohibits the taking of photographs on private property (except possibly at some government/military installations) however a land owner does have the right to stop you doing something on their land and have you removed for trespass if you don't comply. However, if that happened the only offence committed would be trespass and not "illegal taking of photos on private property".
Since the security had not declared that the area was private property when I started filming, and there were no signs up forbidding or prohibiting the taking of photographs...I was within the law.
And, considering that a threat had been made. It was in the best interests of all involved.

Apart from the heavy handed security physically lashing out and now comes this chap from HM Intelligence branch! Sorry but the dumbest thing a senior Intelligence field officer can ever do is to deliberately draw attention to themselves by wearing a pin that's got MI5/SIS written all over it thus compromising his very own cover. Sadly the Official Secrets Act doesn't cover reckless and careless senior GI field officer's deliberately placing themselves in exposed positions whilst walking upto a civilian with a camera! We can only imagine that his position has now been deeply compromised indefinitely over this incident, no doubt having to live out in a safe house for a while before being formerly disciplined and debriefed and resended back to civilian life! FUBAR!

That filming of them was image did not identify their faces. Or operations and you can't film people under the age of 18 but any one else in a public place in the UK cannot stop filming including the police with the obvious exception of army navy/air forcestaff and barracks /areas with t without written permission of course and any one else can filmed in the UK and would need to Go to high court to get ur camera/ film off you include the police and have no chance of getting successful court case against you so keep on filming the rat,s post asap on You Tube videos to embarrass them as bunch of idiot's they are

They have no legal authority to ask for your name , probably the reason they applied for that job is because no one wanted to be friends with them at school,

I stayed there several hours shooting people's portraits, right in front of a children toy shop. Obviously someone got suspicious of that because a PCSO was sent to enquire about my activity. I just explained I was taking street portraits, not showing any pic or giving any information, but the PCSO replied "You have the right to do so, no issue there. Have a good day!"

If one gentleman filming can drag them away from their duties securing the streets and shopping centre from petty crime then they all need retraining. Fred Smith Mr Passive Aggressive. What a waste of space. If there was a real incident of any kind he'd just wait for the real trained pros to turn up. You keep filming fella everyday and drive them mad. If I was their supervisor I'd get them IQ tested. Then some personality training.

Shopping centres don't ask for no filming. The "No filming" policy is entirely the fault of the security firms who have a blanket "no filming" policy on ALL their sites, because it makes them feel powerful and needed. Security firms have MASSIVE egos. But actually, it is turning this country into a fascist state. What are they going to do when cameras are so small they cannot be detected?

I have worked in the security industry for 27 years, starting as a security officer and working up to a global management position. I can honestly say that probably half (or more) of the people I see wearing security uniforms these days should not be in the job and show a complete ignorance of what they can and cannot do or, in some cases, demand of others. That goes, rather unfortunately, for many police officers too! The whole idea of the licensing of security officers was supposed to weed out the dead wood and to raise the profile of the industry but I am yet to see that happen and, sorry to say, it just seems like another money making quango to enrich some appointed toffs in the top positions.

4 million CCTV's in this country and these Muppets are worried about one guy with a camera. I also thought that Security guy said he was off duty so why is he hanging around? And why are those 2 members of the public who do not want to be filmed waiting there? Just to cause trouble obviously.

I do hope that a notice was writtento the security licencing authority regarding the actions of all those who have been issued with a licence. Looks like they need retraining. If they can't articulate a law, then they shouldn't be saying that someone is breaking it. Also, they are not law enforcement offices, so if they think a law may be broken they should seek advice/assistance from a law enforcement officer.
Do they not realize that their actions are why these audits are becoming more and more common? People are sick and tired of private security and entities being heavy handed when cameras are visible. If anyone wanted to do anything nefarious they wouldn't generally be holding a camera at head height and commentating. Them playing James Bond just makes them look totally inept at their jobs.
