- Taken from Hubbard Glacier excursion (The Hubbard Glacier Wilderness Explorer) boat from Serenaded of the Seas in Alaska. wea around www.google.com... . The excursion is a little pricey but well worth it to get about .5 miles from the face of this 6 mile long face.
It was a but windy, so audio is not the best.
“Really big!” Would be helpful to have a idea of how tall that glacier frontage is. And a mention in description of where the Hubbard Glacier is.
Thanks for the input. Updated the details as suggested.
It is in Alaska and the face towers above the top decks of the cruise ships!
It would be the serenade of the sea, but all you hear are people screaming. Inane.
Hi Patrica... thanks for watching. Was on the excursion boat about .5 miles from the glacier. Surprisingly, the thunder like sound was covered up by the excitement. Hope you have an opportunity to see it live!
I certainly understand everyone’s excitement. Yet, I understand what Patricia is saying. There is truth in “Silence is golden.” In particular, because the glaciers are melting at an alarming rate and silence at their demise sometimes is more appropriate.
Matt; good job of staying focused and not causing nausea by panning wildly all over the place!
@@UTubeQu1che551 alarmist 😁🤣🤣
The Radiance of the Seas does the majority of the cruises for Royal Caribbean.
The fastest-growing glacier on earth!
Hey Matt M, do you have an email address at which we could contact you regarding this video? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible? (i.e. via email) 🙂 Cheers, Felix
Going whoo hoo at this is like the dinosaurs cheering on the asteroid😖
It will be at least 200 years before the Northern Hemisphere is totally ice covered all year long.
It is the fastest advancing glacier on earth. I visit it every 5 years and it is spectacular. The first time I visited it in 2012, we cruised into Russell Fijord. Now the fijord is pretty much closed off.
