Thank you Mark. I have lifted my Harley a number of times with my J&S jack but today (3.28.22) will be the first time using it with my GL1800. I do have the GoldWing jack adapter but figured it wasn’t needed with my belly pan. I couldn’t slide the jack all the way under the bike with the adapter and belly pan. I have the Wingstuff belly pan with Louvers.
I had to wait quite awhile for my J&S due to Covid related supply issues but I can tell you, it was worth waiting for. This thing is rock solid! It lifts my Harley Electra Glide like it’s a feather. Today will be my first time lifting my GL1800 in order to remove my rear wheel. I have a Wingstuff belly pan so I will use the jack without my GoldWing jack adapter.
Hi and thank you Carnell. Would appreciate it if you would indicate exactly where to put the jack. Difficult to determine. Your video provides a very good indication but if there is any specific, kindly share. Thanks much.
The left side of the Jack stand goes under the H in the center kickstand. If you use a belly pan like I do, the right side of the jack stand will eventually cause a dent in it.
A GOOD solid Jack is a MUST for the Wing. I have recently purchased the PitBull Jack and do not how I have lived without it so far...I have cleaned my bike more than ever since having it...you got a $20k+ Bike does a man really want a $100 Lift? Not me!!!!!
I love my J&S jack but they use the same adapter for the 2018+ and it doesn't work at all. Even though they said it would. Total waste of money. Better off just using a block of wood. The rubber pads aren't thick enough to start raising it before it hits the exhaust on the left side. The gap between the two rubber pads is way to small. It's like threading a needle. You have to be laying on the ground to line it up while someone else is jacking it up. Cut the opening to give extra wiggle room and you still have the pad thickness issue. Definitely not happy with the adapter.
Thank you for that info, my brother. Many people have asked does this jack stand work on the 2018+ Goldwing and the only thing I could say is, "I do not own a 2018+ Goldwing". Thanks for sharing.
My brother, I love this J&S jack stand and I know I use it at least once a week, from cleaning or just simply using it to move the Goldwing around in the garage.
+tim285401 I thought so too at first, but no it really does a good job balancing the bike without straps. It also has lock down brakes (2 knobs that lock the wheels) to prevent the jack from moving once the bike is lifted. This is a must have tool for me and it is worth every penny.
I used this jack several times to remove my rear wheel, that's not a problem at all. Putting it back on at the same height you took the wheel off is hard. I recommend using another jack just to help you with the lifting. No problems on clearance at all.
you made a believer out of me. Question. What is the height of the jack when it is all the way down. My bike is a cruiser and it sits low, I'm just wondering if this will fit under my bike,, Thanks..
Thank you, my brother, without the Goldwing adapter the center height is 4 inches off the ground, with the Goldwing adapter the height is 5 1/2 inches high off the ground, hope this helps.
Ordered mine in August,,still waiting. Thanks Carnell
If you have a belly pan on your Wing, you do not need the Gl1800 Adapter. Asked J&M today and thats what they sayd. Saved $45(ish).

Hey Carnell I want to thank you for the tip on the J&S Jack. It is great and works great. thanks again
I love mines, and glad I got it.
Hi Carnell. Been looking at this jack for awhile. Is an adapter needed to prevent damage to the exhaust?
The adapter is fitted to close up the gap /space where the engine sits but if you have a belly pan under your bike, you do not need it.

Carnell Luckett Sr thank you bro.
My question was can I use this jack with a belly pan. Answer: ruclips.net/video/R6UuSTNxlaI/видео.html
I have used it both ways, no issue but I always secure it with straps if it is going to be on the jack stand longer than a day.
@@CarnellLuckettSr ... definitely
Can you jack this up with underbelly shield in place?
Yes, but it will leave an imprint on the underbelly shield.
Carnell Luckett Sr thanks for the quick reply.
@@chiefdog1019 I'm working from home now😂

Man Carnell u left out the best part that I always be waiting on,,,,
Just ordered one for my wing during their black Friday sale. Thanks for the video.
Glad I was able to help, you will love it!
This would sure save me a lot of time on my knees! Carnell, how often do you use it, and has it continued to work well for you?
My brother, I love this J&S jack stand and I know I use it at least once a week, from cleaning or just simply using it to move the Goldwing around in the garage.
now wouldn't you have to strap the bike to the jack

You still use this jack?
Yes, my brother, no issues using this jack on my 2015 Goldwing
has anyone removed the rear wheel while using this jack? Will the wheel clear the rear panel or side bags on the 1800?
I used this jack several times to remove my rear wheel, that's not a problem at all. Putting it back on at the same height you took the wheel off is hard. I recommend using another jack just to help you with the lifting. No problems on clearance at all.
Carnell Luckett Sr many thanks! as well as for your service, might see you at the one of the GWRRA rallies. You are my first RUclips subscription.
I am speechless Brother, Thank you!
Does black flash have a belly pan on it? Let's Ride!
