15% of all colorectal carcinomas show microsatellite instability. This alone results in a significant number, but possibly the rate is even higher, because currently the analysis is not yet carried out regularly everywhere. Knowledge of the MSI status is relevant for the patients, on the one hand because of the prognostic and therapeutic consequences, and on the other hand because it is often only through this knowledge that a hereditary genesis can be discovered. Absolutely amazing presentation, helped me a lot with my assignment on HNPCC and sporadic MSI CRC thank you very much!
Great presentation. Succinct and slides are easy to understand!
Great overview on the importance of MSI status
Very Clearly explained,,,, Thanks
Thanks
In 10:00 it should have been written "MLH1 promoter hypermethylation" in the yellow box.
Thank you. Nice and informative presentation
Very nice presentation. Would it be possible for the speaker to share the slides of this presentation for academic/teaching purposes?
Good job
Thank you!
Great presentation.
Very good presentation, but I was confused with the interpretation of the immunohistochemistry results. Did she say No loss of MMR proteins mean no stain?
Thanks for the positive feedback and sorry that the point did not become clearer.
When an MMR protein is not expressed, there is a loss in staining. Not the other way around. Thank you very much for each question; then we can clarify any ambiguities better.
