    The Dubrovnik chess pieces look good on the 6 cm squares, IMHO. I prefer that size board. In fact, I made one just like it for my Royal Chess Mall set.

      Yes you are right. But the RCM Dubrovnik pieces are much wider than the original ones. According to their website, their king has a base of 44 mm, and the original is 38 mm. That's a big difference if you look at and compare it to 5.5 or 6 cm squares.
