Did you try any cleans with it to make use of the divots on the side?

this guy only does swings in his reviews.......not good. I was wondering how the grooves worked with cleans. But he loves markings.

I like my Rogue Competition Kettlebells. I find the grooves make them more ergonomic. The bell comes to connect and rest against the forearm with a feel of a positive fit and spreading the force of its impact across a larger surface area, thereby minimizing any possible bruising.
As far as the markings are concerned they are impressions, so there is nothing that stands out to catch on either your clothing or skin.

@@paolobramucci3609 I've since gotten a Rogue competition bell. Love it! The wider handle makes it much more ideal for single arm cleans and snatches. And I agree, the divots are a nice touch. Although, they're not as deep as they look. I hardly notice them, but I'd probably notice them if they weren't there as this is the only competition kettlebell I've ever used.

Do a review on the more durable kettlebells Who makes them? Better steel?

Anderson C Dragondoor makes the best kettlebells

Gizmo They don't make steel competition style kettlebells. So if Anderson C is asking about steel kettlebells, they probably mean competition style. For competition style kettlebells the absolute best you can get are Kettlebell Kings, Kettlebells USA, Eleiko, and Perform Better.

I’m not a fan of those grooves on the top though! I like the other competition kettlebells!
Would you suggest that kettlebell with those grooves or the other competition kettlebell without the grooves?

That really comes down to personal preference.
I like my Rogue Competition Kettlebells. I find the grooves make them more ergonomic. The bell comes to connect and rest against the forearm with a feel of a positive fit and spreading the force of its impact across a larger surface area, thereby minimizing any possible bruising.
Other than that they are well cast and finished. No rough edges or seams to catch your hands. The Rogues have a 33mm handle. Some companies sell them with a 35mm handle. Both sizes are approved completion use. An advantage of the smaller handle circumference is that it moves more mass and weight of the ‘bell to the ball section, away from the hand, which helps with the rotation of the kettlebell as you move it while using it. This translate to a more efficient loading of the arms and its muscles. It is also more comfortable to grip, if your hand is smaller in size, which is the case for me, as well as many women, that might be interesting in training with kettlebells.
I found that their weight feels well balanced across the line, from one bell to the next. To date they have met my expectations and I am happy with my set. As far as the cast iron is concerned, like a frying pan, with a little TLC, it will more than likely outlast you.
If you are looking for an alternative to the Rogues, and of the same high quality in terms of fit and finish, then you may want to consider Kettlebell Kings lineup of bells. They do not have the grooves. Their bells are offered with both the original 35mm handle, or, the newer 33mm handle standard. Although, their 33mm handle, in addition to having a small circumference, flares out at its base where it attaches to the bell, or, ball section of the kettlebell. This might give them a different feel, in the palm of the hand near the base of thumb.
I hope this has been helpful in answering your question, as well as anyone else that maybe looking into purchasing kettlebells to train with.

This kettlebell is made of iron and not steel, like those sold by Kettlebell Kings, and Kettlebells USA. The divots interfere with snatches, and in general, this bell is not competition legal. So, why train with a kettlebell that is not competition legal, if competition is your goal? If competition is not your goal, a traditional cast iron bell serves the purpose quite well. This kettlebell is the DeLorean of the kettlebell world. Looks kinda cool, but.....

@BlueJupiterJazz You know, I probably should not be having these discussions on the internet. A while back, I got into a disagreement with a fella, and later found out he had 13 inch arms, and could bench press slightly over 100 pounds. In the gym, he wouldn't have come over to discuss anything pertaining to weight training. However, on the internet, he was a bona fide weight lifting genius. That is one of the things that happens on the internet. Anyhow, yeah, really shouldn't be having a discussion regarding how a kettlebell sounds.
