For a little more context, the worn fenders are brand new and they come from a special custom shop that specializes in making worn out vintage spec guitars that look vintage. They’re individually made and worn. They make these because vintage guitars go for such a premium that these kinda fill the market for someone that is looking for something vintage but doesn’t want to pay the high price tag that comes with it. Hope this helps and good luck with everything!

thank you for the info on this. They do look cool, but are they cool if they aren't the real thing?

Cool video, definitely keen to see your trips to other guitars stores around the world 😎
Not surprised you chose the Fender as your favourite in the store, you looked way more comfortable playing that than the other two! Maybe because it's closer in playability to your Squire? Or maybe you are a Slipknot fan and you just don't know it yet 😂

Thanks! I actually should have played the Fender first... I was most comfortable with it because of my time with my squire. And also... just feeling comfortable playing there in the music store. The Duesenburg and Les Paul were tougher to play... and I feel I just need to get one of each so I can get more comfortable! :D One drawback of the Strat... it didn't have fret inlays and that was kind of a bit to get used to.

Oh yeah, no fret inlays is a hard one to deal with! I guess it had dots on the top of the neck though?
Definitely a good plan to buy at least one of every guitar available, you never know when you need a semi-hollow body with a Floyd Rose trem and 3 humbuckers 😁

It did have dots on top... so I could manage... just took a little bit of thinking once in awhile. It's nice to know that there are others out there supporting my future addiction of accumulating guitars. 😂

I got a nice new guitar once that had mother-of-pearl dots on top of the neck and on the fretboard. Looked amazing, and I thought it was way cooler than the black dots all my other guitars had. Forward wind to the first time I played it on stage. Coloured lights turned on, and the dots all completely disappeared. I had no idea where I was playing. Thanks, science... One of the most stressful gigs ever 😂 Many jazz notes were played that night 😬

That sounds like a nightmare! Did you always bring 2 guitars from then on?

About you not being comfortable playing in front of people. Don't worry about it. You know how to play more than they do generally. You'll be fine. 🤘😃🤘

Thanks for the encouragement. It's one of those things that age and life experience tell me not give a f*ck. Yet, there's something deep in this brain I have that is a bit too worried about certain stuff.

You should go to Thomann. One of the biggest in Europe. They have everything and in at least 3 colours😂

That place has a lot more Guiters than the majority of the stores I go to around here.
Also you have to learn stairway to Heaven if you’re going to be playing guitars in the store

Haha... I used to know a lot of that one... I think I need to revisit it so I can grace the guitar store employees with it. :D

Also, ask questions and don't worry. You're the one buying. Good guitars are not cheap. Even $500 guitars aren't cheap.

You’ve played for 709 people.. playing in front of some people in a music shop shoildent be a problem for ya lol

I’ve got a les Paul.. it’s the heaviest thing I’ve ever picked up. I think it weighs close to 3000 lbs. it sounds great though.
Dude some of the stuff coming out of squire are on par with expensive fenders.
And yes.. fenders doing the “road worn” jawns.. on one hand I find it annoying because I kinda wanna put that mojo into it myself. But.. with they said I own a JMJ road worn bass and I love it and I’ve already put some dings in it and have given zero fucks about it..
Also I don’t think headless guitar strings are a thing. I think you just use normal stings.

Yeah I’ve got a headless Ibanez and it uses normal strings. Totally agree about the “road worn” or relicked (??? How do you spell that) thing. Would much rather put the wear in myself.

Headless guitar strings (double-balled) are a thing because I have changed the strings on my Steinberger once with said strings. :D I'd prefer now to now have gotten a guitar that required it, but now I know.

    • @AndrewWillmott-l8s
      @AndrewWillmott-l8s 8 месяцев назад

@@IStillWanttobeaRockStar yeah I’ve now looked that up and you can buy those strings online. You can also get a single ball sting adapter for the Steinberger so maybe that’s an option.

@@IStillWanttobeaRockStar I’ve honestly never seen that but all my guitars have heads lol.
I wonder if you could just save some ball ends off old strings and use regular strings but tieing them on

I suppose if I was crafty I could do that. I've been living kind of nomadically for 4 years and I have no tools or equipment to learn and do guitar tech stuff. Perhaps in the coming months after we get back to North America.
