Quality video. To the point and helpful. Thank you
Thank you very much for your great, simple and easy tutorial ! Now I will go and do my own cuttings :)
What length of time do you keep the polythene bag over it for.
Thank you! This video is super good and useful!
Very useful video. Thank you
thanku very much, now i can do my own from my landlords many fuchsia plants.
Trina Toris Does he know? 😁
How do you water it now? Or do you water it?
What do you do with it then? Leave it outside, inside, in the greenhouse or a cold frame?
This has been my first year where I've taken cuttings with a vengeance, fingers crossed!
How did you get on :D
A doing my cutting this week! I hope it isn´t too late! :/
good video. Is it possible to do hardwood cuttings? or do they need to be from soft wood?
I followed the video but the leaves on the cutting wilted after a few days. The soil is moist and I has a plastic bag over it. Kept on a window sill
Please tell me how often you water after.
Thank you 🪴
Does anyone know if this would be a typical procedure for almost all perennials & maybe even shrubs?
Can you taake cuttings in autum. And propergate them inside??
It would be nice to know how long it will take for the roots to develop.
It depends on the time of year, I put mine in jam jars with water, and put them in a shaded part of my kitchen. In the summer i had a ton of roots from all 6 of my cuttings (all in same jar!) in a matter of a handful of days (about 14 days?) In the Winter it would still work but would be slower depending on temperatures.
I never use a bag when I take cuttings and they always root but haven't tried fuchsias yes.
Why does the start grow better towards one side of the pot instead of the center?
She said it makes it easier to take out when the roots are grown near the sides of a pot, when removing them
Hello I have lovely flowering fuschias. Is it too late to take cuttings please? Thanks Mrs Dodson
Can cutting be taken this time of the year (September)
Depending on where you are. If the Weather is to hot the Cutting will Die before ever growing Roots.
Why all the thumbs down? 🤔
can i take cuttings when flowering or is it too late?☺
It's better to take the Cuttings without Flowers or Buds. Less strain on the Cutting and better chance for it to Root. When I done Cuttings I used Vermiculite and a Rotting Tray. Worked very well for me.
i have always used a rooting powder but not with geraniums on cuttings
kp1049 I have planted fuchsia cuttings with and without powder and it's been okay, so I don't use it anymore.
Was the cutting taken on April 12th or December 4th?
When is the best time to do cuttings this way?
April 12th in the UK. For them, it's late spring then, so if you're not in the UK, you'd need to take your cutting whenever it's late spring, early summer for you.
Did u water it??
