This recipe is the BEST!! I started keeping my water at around 90 degrees and it was the first time I had a wonderful bubble starter and the best sandwich loaf ever!!! Thank you!! May use this same recipe for hamburger and hot dog buns :)
Yummy! Very good bread, thank you so much for the recipe and tutorial. My bread was a little deformed on both loaves but so delicious. I measured my pans and they were not quite 8”x4” so I think that might be the problem. I might experiment with a 9” x 5” next time. Thank you again😊
The website says that the dough can be refrigerated for up to 4 days. Could you let me know at what point to do this? After putting it into the loaf pan or before? Thanks
If your starter is really "soupy" then less water would have helped. You can also add some more flour. You will also be surprised that once it rises the stickiness decreases.
@TheMoniquerenee maybe your dough over fermented? The climate and temperature in your area plays into that regardless if you followed the recipe to the t

EXCELLENT looking bread. Have recipe. Thank you for sharing.
I've always had my warm water at 115 degrees and never had a problem.
Great recipe, will try it tomorrow, Thank you for sharing this ❤.
What size loaf pans do you use?
Does the starter have to be active ? Or can it just be used as is from the fridge ?
It needs to be active. If yours is in the fridge I recommend discarding and feeding at least once before making bread.
What do you mean by "mature" starter? When did you feed it to be ready to use in recipe? How many hours? Thanks
One that is established (you feed and discard on a regular basis) and it doubles with in a 12-24 hour period
Could you please list measurements in cups and tsp.thank you
When baking with sourdough I only use grams. It makes for a more accurate recipe.
Can I do it without oil? Or add homemade yogurt as an oil substitute?
I have never done it without oil, but I say try it!!

Before going into the loaf pan.
Before shaping (before the loaf pan).
Do you have a printable recipe for your bread?
Yes. You can find it on our website- hummingbird-acres.com/soft-sourdough-sandwich-bread/

Is there an oil I can use instead of vegetable oil?
I have switch to avocado oil and have had great success.
@@hummingbirdacres fantastic! Thank you!
Followed the recipe exact and have a wet sticky sloppy mess. Wish I had added less water

@@JCPerez-jz5cv no. It was too wet to begin with. I’ve since found what works for tho
Rectangle not triangle lol
Valley girl language - high lilt accent at end of every sentence. Ugh.
oil is not healthy
Yes it is if you use olive or avocado.
