I have to say I accidentally created a couple arrangements. I’ve been watching yours with envy❤️
I had two round shallow pots with soil in my mix of stuff. I kept putting fallen leaves or broken pieces into these pots. Because I’m lazy it’s now two years later and they’re both full of grown ups! And it actually looks like I did it in n purpose.
Thank you for all your inspiration!
I lived in Saipan for a year back n the early 80’s. It never occurred to me to keep succulents then. Now I’m in Oklahoma and have to bring in 70+ pots for winter. 70 is what’s left after I sold some. I had almost 140.

When they have enough room to grow, they grow fast too! So, the space in between plants and the size of your planter matters too.

    Hi Theresa,
I love your videos. So informative. thank you. I have a Pachyphytum Oviferum - Moonstones Succulent which became leggy when it was by a window with no direct sunlight. I will repot and propogate to try to get back to the natural form like a bunch of pebbles but do you have a tip for keeping them looking like this apart from placing the pot in the sunniest window?
    Thanks, Angie

Try to supplement with more light using grow lights if you are growing them indoors.

Hi chopsticks and succulent I absolutely love ur videos thanks for sharing✨✨🥰 but I do want to know how do you treat fungal growth on the leaves of these succulents? Pls give some advice 🥺🥺👉👈

    • @ChopstickandSucculents
      @ChopstickandSucculents  3 года назад

Sometimes it comes.from the soil too. Try to uproot and change the soil. You can start treating them with Neem oil or apply organic fungicide. Keep the soil dey.

Hi I am from North India, it has a humid subtropical climate..and mostly warm to hot weather...should I keep the succulents in direct sunlight? How should i keep them?

Succulents love the aun. In order to prevent damage, you need to let them get used to it slowly.

Hello. Is it even worth growing succulents in zone 7 bc we have to bring them indoors in Fall? Elongation issues.
Plz do a video on creating an arrangement with new babies from leaf propagation.
    Thank you. 🙂

I was wondering this too!! I’m in Pennsylvania. I did find out that we can grow Sempervivum outside and they should survive the snow. I just bought some and put them outside to see if they really do survive. If they do, I will definitely make more arrangements.
I rarely water them though because we’ve been getting rain. I did lose two of the same variety from the rain, but so far the rest have been okay.

I grow chics outdoors too, but on amended mounds of soil bc of the rain. They come back every year, and since I amended the soil last yr n mounded it up a few inches, none died over winter and they’re getting big. I know there is not a big selection of cold hardy succs, and I certainly have not seen many with vibrant colors.
Im wondering I could achieve the beauty of her arrangements growing “non hardy” ones like hers in zone 7 considering they need brought indoors for winter. If it’s fruitless, I don’t wanna waste my time on them. 🙂
