LA has lots of great areas and lots of awful areas. Hollywood is definitely one of the worst. It's nearly impossible to walk around there and not have something thrown at you every time. Generally places that are harder to get to without a car are the nicest.

@@willpalmeer there are 5 major cities in California, LA, San Francisco, San Diego, San Jose, and Fresno. A lot of people like LA area because you can go to the beach and get a tan and if you go east an hour or two, you can have snow I’m in Fresno. It’s located exactly in the middle of California. Fresno is not bad, if you drive 2 hours west, you be at the beach; if you drive two hours east, you get snow; if you drive 3 hours north, you get San Francisco; and if you drive 4 hours south, you’ll be in LA. I love this state! Yes, it’s expensive but it’s worth it
