I tried to power car equaliser but it stops powering afer about 10 seconds. Equaliser has a 3A fuse. Tired with a car cassette player and it does thr same, car cd -same. Just out of warranty

The Noco Genius 10 has the ability to remember its last mode setting. As long as the Genius 10 is still connected to the battery and that battery has some sort of charge level (not totally dead), the Genius 10 will restart in the same charging mode after the power is restored. It's nice that it will pickup where it left off.

When using this in supply mode for installing a new car battery, if I understand correctly you attach the NoCo to the battery terminal leads, disconnect the terminal leads from the old battery while leaving the NoCo connected, then attach the leads to the new battery then disconnect the NoCo? Yes, that's how you would perform that function. I just recently did that exact thing with my NOCO Genius 10 and my 2014 Chevy Caprice to replace its battery. You could also connect the NOCO to the jump start terminals instead of the battery terminal leads. Just make sure the two cables don't come in contact with each other while the battery is being replaced.
You don't charge the Genius 10. It must be connected to an AC power source the entire time it's being used. It's a battery charger/maintainer not a jumpstart battery pack that would be charged before it can be used.

From the user manual: [Press and Hold the Mode button 3 Seconds With Clamps Not Connected] Converts to a DC power supply for powering any 12VDC device, like a tire inflator, oil changer, or as a memory retainer when replacing a battery. When selected, a red LED will illuminate.
Don't all car tyre inflators already come with a twelve volt accessory plug to connect to the twelve volt accessory socket in a vehicle? Sorry but I do not see an advantage in your example, perhaps you could illustrate another and different beneficial use for this Noco feature, thank you.
The tire inflator example simply demonstrates the NOCO unit can provide the volts/amps stated to run a device accessory (if needed). Yes, you can use the tire inflator by plugging into one of the car's 12-volt power ports, but if you're at home, why drain your car's battery for something like that. You should be able to use anything with a 12-volt power plug that requires less than 10 amps with this feature.
The NOCO Genius10 and other Genius chargers/maintainers do not have a USB cable option. NOCO does offer a GC003 X-Connect 12V Male Plug that can be plugged into your vehicle's 12V AUX plug. That's assuming the 12V AUX plug in your vehicle is powered all of the time (meaning it does not turn off when the ignition switch is turned off).

If the car's cigarette lighter has power in any/all positions of the ignition switch, then yes you should be able to use it with the NOCO Genius10 and the GC003. You should have the ignition switch in the Off position when you're charging/maintaining your car's battery. Any position other than the Off position will cause a power drain because the various modules/features of the car will still be on/active when the ignition switch is not in the Off position.
The amount of time it takes to get a battery's charge level up to a maintenance level varies depending on the battery's initial charge level. I've observed a well charged battery go into "maintenance" mode within 15 to 30 minutes. A severely discharged battery can take 3 to 18 hours to get the battery's charge level up to maintenance mode level, but again it depends on the initial charge level of the battery. The Genius10 may be able to recover a battery that is 4 years old, but it also depends on how long the battery has been at a low charge level. I cannot state exactly if it can repair / recover a 4 year old battery since each battery and situation is different. If it can be recovered / repaired my guess would be the Genius10 would be able to do it.

Any of the NOCO Genius series of chargers should work with your battery. The larger the "Genius" product number is represents how many amps it can provide as a maximum to charge/maintain the battery. The higher the amps produced by the charger the "faster" the battery should reach a fully charged state. A three year old battery should still be viable if it hasn't been allowed to go dead for extended periods of time. I just tested this again. I placed the NOCO Genius 10 into supply mode. I then connected it to a standalone battery and it remained in supply mode. I disconnected the Genius 10 from that battery and then connected it to the battery in my car. It remained in supply mode. The only thing I can think of is there possibly a load of more than 10 amps present when you connect the Genius 10 to the car battery?

When in power supply mode, it provides 13.6 volts with a max of 10 amp with overload protection at 12 amps (max). For any additional info, you may have to contact NOCO directly.
If I don't have the main power cord plugged will I be able to take this on the road as a power bank and pull 12 volts from it to supply my air inflator or whatever on the road without a power inverter or a AC outlet. More or less does it store its own power like a battery and drain down apon use or must I feed it power at all times to get something out of it. You don't charge the NOCO Genius 10. The Genius 10 has no internal battery. The Genius 10 not a jumpstart device, it's a battery maintainer/charger that uses AC wall power to charge/maintain a battery or in power supply mode provide power to devices like I demonstrate in this video.
Why is it nobody is explaining how long the battery should be plugged into the wall before using? I got my first charger and I left it in the wall overnight. The charger NEVER charged up. WHU? I thought this was normal "I guess" My cat battery died. I pulled out this contraption and it NEVER went into any mode. I had to call roadside assistance to get me back on the road. I waited 1 hr 1/2. I was totally disguised with this NOCO 10~
The NOCO Genius 10 is a battery charger / maintainer, not a jump start battery pack. NOCO and other companies sell jump start units that can get your vehicle started and on the road quickly. The NOCO Genius 10 "Power Supply Mode" as demonstrated in this video is intended only to power 12-volt devices or provide temporary power to the car's electrical system while swapping out a dead battery to help save the car's settings in the various modules in the car. It can take as little as 30 minutes to 1 hour for a battery with a decent charge level to become fully charged. It can take a battery with a very low charge level 12 to 24 hours to become fully charged by any battery charger/maintainer. If the car's battery has at least a minimal charge level, the NOCO Genius 10 should be able to recharge the battery by attaching the cables and selecting the battery charge mode using the MODE button (12V / 12V AGM / 12V LITHIUM). If the NOCO Genius 10 won't go into a charge mode, that likely means the battery has an extremely low charge level requiring the use of the "Force Mode". From the Genius 10 manual: Force Mode. [Press & Hold for 5 seconds] Force mode allows the charger to manually begin charging when the connected battery’s voltage is too low to be detected. If the battery voltage is too low for the charger to detect, press and hold the mode button for 5 seconds to activate Force Mode, then select the appropriate mode (12V / 12V AGM / 12V LITHIUM). All available modes will flash. Once a charge mode is selected, the Charge Mode LED and Charge LED will alternate between each other, indicating Force Mode is active. After five (5) minutes the charger will return to the normal charge operation and low voltage detection will be reactivated. You have to put them in force mode to get him started sometimes it's the battery is really dead by holding the power button down and you can select 12 volt Supply and use it as a jump starter but you could burn it up the downside of this thing is it will not bring a battery up to 14.5 V which is Optimum it says the battery is fully charged and if you do a hydrometer test on it you're lucky if it's at 20% I really good charger will allow you to adjust the voltage on a deep cycle battery up to 14.7 which is the optimum voltage to bring the battery back to its state of charge that's where this thing is lacking I'm going to keep an eye on a battery and leave it in the 12 V Supply mode and see if I can actually bring the battery charge up to 100% that way

No. Your vehicle will likely require far more than the 10 amps of current that this unit can provide.

The NOCO Genius 10 is a battery maintainer/charger and it requires AC power to make it operate (no battery inside of it).
Measuring and showing the voltage in real-time would have been helpful, assuming all here know how to read and interpret the manual provided by NOCO.

So I can switch my Noco 10 to supply mode, however when I connect it to the car, it goes back to standby
