How perfect do you have to be to get into heaven?

I have to respectfully disagree with the way he phrased that. I would like to have this gentleman look me in the eye and say he is as holy and perfect as God. Never had a impure thought ever? And before anyone says" he means unless you're cleansed by the blood of Jesus". He didn't say that! He said " Unless you are as perfect as god you will not make it!". My point is, A non-believer views this and hears what he says and takes it word for word then my guess is they throw their hands up and say I'll never get into heaven. Jesus died for that exact reason! Because God knows that no one has the ability to obtain his perfection. Only Jesus lived a perfect life. Just my opinion and I'm not trying to offend those who are easily offended.

Yes, this is what I was thinking exactly. But I was also wondering if maybe they didn't show the entirety of what he was saying, and cut it off, that would twist this whole thing of what he was trying and meant to say around.

If you practice good works because you know you are saved that is ok because you are not doing it to get saved, but because you are a new creation in christ and that is your new life ( nature) bearing fruit is a gift from God produced by the Holy Spirit who lives in you.
No one lives the Christian life to get saved, they live it because they are saved.
The ones who try to live the Christian life and are not saved will find themselves doing works in order to be saved.
(They are the self righteous)

If you think that you are healthy when it come to keeping the law
And that you are OK, pretty good,not that bad, or that you do not need to be saved because you are a good person.

The Bible is very clear on this!! Matt 7:13, 14 ! "Few" that be will find it!! But the thing is Many people in this World, think there on there Way to Heaven ,not So !! Many are in for the surprise of their Lives !!
Matthew 5:48 KJV - 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Jesus Christ is perfect in us born again believers by His Spirit Not us in ourselves because of our sinful nature we must discipline every day.Ephesians 2:8-9 etc.
That's what I comment on our conscience and to evaluate it .

So I'm not sure what you were exactly saying here, we have to be as perfect as God to get into heaven then? Well then nobody's going to make it, cuz nobody can be as perfect/holy as God.

You make no sense. God knew we weren't perfect and that if we were good enough on our own then why would he even need to die on the cross at all to wash away our sins? Careful what you teach Pastor.

Hebrews 10:14 NKJV 14. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. God doesn’t want us to repent for our sins but it’s Jesus one offering that perfects is forever we can never be perfect on our own.

The son of Yah saves you if you do what he came to teach. He said John 14
15“If you love Me, keep My commandments.
Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Turn away from your sinful ways and seek our Heavenly Father Yah for help. Ask him to pour a portion of righteousness over you. Keep Yah’s Holy law including observing his holy Sabbath on the 7th day which is on Saturday. Seek to be sanctified and holy for he is holy. Whatever you shall ask you shall receive as long as you are walking in his statues.

I find it hard to respect anyone who teaches/preaches that the redeemed go to heaven when they die. They don't. And the Bible doesn't say that they will.
What do you mean by "the redeemed on go to heaven". Is the redeemed referring to the forgiven?

Jesus is going to return and set up the kingdom of God ON THE EARTH! God’s government ON THE EARTH! The Messiah died for his people! God resurrected the Messiah! The Messiah will resurrect his people at his coming! The destiny of the Messiah and his people is to be ON THE EARTH! The renewed restored earth! God also dwelling with them! Rev 21

You must not be rich to get into heaven
Not true, you can be rich and still have a chance. It’s just harder.
The Bible never said that, it said, "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, then a rich man to enter into heaven," but that is because of the love some people put into money, when they love money more than anyone or anything else. It also says that "money is the root of all evil," but it all depends on what's in people's hearts. A person can do a lot of good with a lot of money. They can help a lot of people. But unfortunately, some people that get real rich and famous, get so full and selfish with themselves, that all they care about is being rich and / or famous. And what they do to get there or once they're there, is what counts.

Why would i want to spend eternity with a god who abandoned his creations. Who let the evil prosper and let children die from abuse or starvation. He is a spectator. He like a dead beat father.
We're only forgiven IF we forgive. .we're doomed then

Acts 4:10-12
