I am absolutely devastated by that last answer. My pastor told me you believed you had to be perfect to get into Heaven, and I disagreed with her. Only One is perfect, that is Chrost. We all fall short of the glory of God. Non is perfect, but Him. The day He comes for us, we will be made perfect. I am devastated because I love to learn from you the both of you. Lieing to a dementia patient is usually done when this person asks about their loved ones who have passed away and they have fogotten that person is gone. If they are told their loved one is dead then they grieve all over again. This could happen over and over again as they cant remember that they had already asked about their loved one. I have worked in long term care for 22 years and understand the logic in telling them their loved one is sleeping, shopping, working on the farm ect. This puts the dementia patient at ease and they dont have to mourn the loss over and over again because their long term memory often remembers their husbands ,parents, siblings, wives and children. It is only out of compassion for these people that they are told these little fibs, not from a desire to decieve.
@@treefrog123a if you have worked with people that have dementia you would have a better understanding of how their minds work. You could tell them the same thing over and over again and they can forget within a matter of minutes. If they are asking about someone they love but cant remember they passed away , you could be causing them emotional pain by telling them the truth and as many times they ask , you tell them the painful truth. Many dont have faith or a religeous back ground and know nothing about God and if you tell them they wont remember what they were told. I would rather tell them their loved one is away for the day than cause them pain .
@normahepburn1643 I agree, I am a retired nurse and have worked with patients who had dementia or alzheimers . You can not only cause mental and emotional pain, but some of these pstients can drop dead , have a stroke or heart attack from shock .Especially if they have heart problems ,etc . Most of these people become severally agitated that can last for days.Many times giving them medication to calm them doesn't work. It is much kinder to distract them even if you have to do this over and over .You don't have to be blunt and tell them truth to satisfy conscious. There are other ways to answer without lying . I feel that if you and the Nurse working with dementia patients you already know this .Unless you were speaking about something else.
yes I have worked in nursing homes and assisted living since I was 18. I am now 70. U can't tell someone who has any kind of dementia that their loved ones has passed. I have worked as aide a housekeeper and a cook. I have been asked to go tell their parents breakfast is ready. I Just say ok I will. They forget after awhile. I would never want to hurt one of those residents. For them to relive losing someone over and over in a day is hurting them
I have always heard esp. In testimony that if one surrounds themselves in the word ,they eventually quit.......there is that God moment and they can no longer smoke.

I’m Catholic who have read the whole Bible countless times (out of boredom) as a child. My godfather is a priest who was sent to the Vatican in the late 80s and even had the opportunity to shake hands with Pope John Paul II, which I thought was interesting because the Pope had visited Portugal on the day I was born in 1982. Another former Pope (pre-WW2) once visited the Basilica in my paternal ancestors’ hometown (some were Archbishops). Anyways, my point is I am not religious despite the facts above. I try to be a good person however. It’s upsetting when I get criticized for not going to Sunday Masses regularly when my own parents seem to be there just for show. As an adult, I come out feeling peaceful after a mass while my mother comes out the crankiest. It was a common sight as a child to see my parents get into a big fight every Sunday after Church. I don’t know if Heaven is supposed to be a place surrounded with clouds. I had a dream I was there, except, I cried hysterically when I was told that I couldn’t take a peek at my children who were still toddlers at the time. Next thing you know, I was in a different place, was shot through the chest after shielding my son. Then I woke up, gasping for air, and with my children sleeping beside me.

I had nursing school, and we were told that if the doctor ordered a patient not to know something, that we had to LIE to the patient. It is one reason that I did not finish nursing school. It was not merely dementia patients too. It was all patients. If the FAMILY also does not want a patient to know, nursing staff are ordered to lie.

If you are born again, yes you received admittance to heaven but in what position is up to the Father.

The story is in Joshua chapter 2 and 6:17 (the fall of Jericho chapter). You may be interested in what Paul and James had to say about her as well (Heb. 11:31 and James 2:25).

Don't believe me I am capable of being confused and am not perfect. Someone had a hand in his epistles but some of it is in line with the gospels. Some of it is traditions of men.
