I was a 3rd generation adventist sitting in a hospital bed trying to battle my addiction to pot. I felt hopeless because i smoked so much my entire being was numb even my brain. One day while laying on the hospital bed flipping through the channels i saw a pastor giving his testimony. He said he used all sorts of drugs before but there he was looking quite distinguished speaking with great wisdom,knowledge and understanding. Pastor Doug i want to personally thank you and 3abn for changing my life. I said if you can do it i can do it to by the grace of god. May God continue to bless you and your ministry as you continue to win souls for Christ.

I wasn’t going to watch it because I thought it was a common sense answer, but I’m so glad I did because it’s much more about keeping your word to God our Lord. Very eye opening about being what you say and what you promise.
Powerful message! The life of Manessah is encouraging to know God will forgive us if we humbly ourselves and seek Him. Unfortunately He can reach some of us at our lowest point if we allow Him. It's good to know no matter our sins if we seek to have a change heart and life God in His mercy will forgive us.

@@EricSaavy If a person sits down and reads their Bibles, looks at history, paying close attention to prophecy and Ellen white prophecy as well, it's easy to see what was prophesied is EXACTLY what has happened not only in long term history but very recent history. The mark of the beast is almost upon us, brothers and sisters. Scoffers and naysayers are rampant because the world has the spirit of satan and his demons fervently fighting to deceive the world. The Protestant world has reunited with rome-the daughters of the harlot have reunited with the mother of harlots, as Scripture prophesied. It was only a few years ago that that would be UNBELIEVABLE to the Christian world. We are overwhelmed in this world with unprecedented amounts of perversion & antiChrist attitude: KJV Revelation 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Noone, even NOW, wants to believe that the Sabbath is going to be the mark of the beast issue or that seventh day Sabbath keepers will be persecuted, much less given a death decree. So called politicians who profess they are Christian but they utterly violate God's Word. Well, deaf ears and blind eyes abound, perhaps when you actually see the government creating laws to force sunday rest and criminalizing keeping the one true Sabbath, created at creation week as a covenant between by Heavenly Father for us, and then written in stone with His own finger-(i mean, He came down to earth HIMSELF to do this, why would he cancel it?)- then maybe you'll realize the truth God revealed through SDA and will NOT follow the beast. For whoever does that, WILL drink if the wine of the wrath of God, as He says in His Word. Yes God’s promises are real and true. They kept me live after struggles I love Isaiah 41v10 and 13 , psalm 91 Hebrews 13 v 5 . God is good all the time .

The young man who asked the Devil for success and regretted his asking should have asked Jesus instead, for did not Jesus say- "Whatever you ask in my name. this I will do."

the story about jephtar i never understood. why didnt he specify that he would offer the first animal he sees when coming home? he had family at home... i cannot imagine he would be thinking about sacrificing any family?
also it is not specified clearly in the bible that he did not burn her. he could have done .. or he could have live her the promise. we will never know.

Judges 11:31 from the King James Version (KJV) - "Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD'S, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering."
Judges 11:34 from the King James Version - "And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter."
Judges 11:37 from the King James Version - "And she said unto her father, Let this thing be done for me: let me alone two months, that I may go up and down upon the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my fellows."
Judges 11:39 from the King James Version - "And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel,"
According to the Version of Doug (VOD), Jephthah's daughter wasn't offered as a burnt offering but merely remained a virgin and served God at the sanctuary for the rest of her life. Carefully read the above again in the original ENGLISH. Jephthah said he would offer up a "burnt offering" and then that he "did with her according to his vow." Jephthah's VOW was to offer a BURNT OFFERING. THIS ISN'T HARD TO UNDERSTAND.

Martin, in the rest of the text we establish that she did maintain her virginity and was not married. Based on the remainder of the scripture and the culture of the Israelites we can safely deduce she was not burnt. Human sacrifice is an abomination to God and would not be accepted by God. It is not only SDA who believe this, but all Protestants and even Jewish people today
But God hates human sacrifices. She didn't bewail her life she bewailed her virginity.
You are correct, @Martin Lohne. And it can't be said in an absolute sense that God doesn't accept human sacrifice. Jesus was the God-MAN yet His sacrifice was accepted; God told Abraham to offer Isaac and Abraham raised no objection -- Bible characters like Peter ("rise, kill and eat...") and Ezekiel ('bake cakes using man dung as fuel') raised objection when God told them to do something out of His character; throughout the centuries, countless martyrs have sacrificed their lives for the cause of Christ, and God accepts their gift. God's issue has always been sacrifices and offerings to "OTHER" gods. So unless the language in Judges 11 is symbolic, we should accept the Bible as it reads. A simple cross-referencing of various Bible translations gives more clarity, suggesting that she was, in fact, slain. The NIV uses commemorative language -- we don't "commemorate" the living but the dead --, and the NABRE uses past perfect tense to reference her virginity ("She had not had relations with any man"), suggesting that her virginity is a past fact rather than a from henceforth reality. Now consider Samuel for a moment: he was dedicated to the sanctuary yet he had kids! So it's kinda nonsensical that Jeph's daughter would HAVE HAD TO remain a virgin just because she'd have been dedicated to the work of the sanctuary. Israel was not Catholic... Jephthah's grief and the ANNUAL mourning of the young women goes so much deeper than mere sorrow for a woman henceforth forbidden sexual reproduction.
@@jodyjojo1381 The Bible says Jephthah vowed to offer a burnt offering. That was the only thing he vowed. Then the passage says Jephthah fulfilled his vow. There was NO other vow. Nothing about serving in the temple, etc. Take the Bible as it reads and don't "deduce" things that arent there.
If SDAs don't take the Bible as it reads, shame on them. In addition, considering the various errors of the Jews and other Protestant churches, I will take what the Bible says over what they think.
