i have a z3 3.0 for 3 years now. The rear trailing arm is the limiter on windy roads making it a 6/10ths car. the front suspension is e36 but the rear is stuck in 1970 and you can feel it
The Z3 is a very emotional car for me. When I was in high school my mom had a brand new, fully loaded 2.8(even with the hardtop) that we both absolutely loved. It really sparked my love of cars, and I insisted on learning how to drive manual so I could get a chance behind the wheel. I got to drive it a couple of times before she had to trade it in(siblings were having kids, so she needed a larger car). We both sorely missed the Z3. Last summer I bought an almost identical(even with the hardtop) '01 3.0i with about 43K on the clock, just in time for my mom and I to make our usual summer road trip. We absolutely loved it; it brought back as many memories as we made. It's such an incredible machine; I'm going to drive it as much as I'm able to and keep it as it is. It's one of those cars I'll never part with.
I had a 2000 Z3 and it was a great convertible and it did feel fast 0-60, but not so much accelerating at highway speeds. Unfortunately, it spent a lot of time at the dealer with a hard to find leak that kept shorting the electrics.
Got to love these older cars that have been kept in a time capsule. Looks like you were teleported back into the '90s from how new it looks. I had no idea the code name was E36/7, so the underpinnings must be shared with the E36 somehow? A google search will answer that..
That’s right! And some with the e30 as well. Similar to the e36 compact (E36/5) which is an e36 from the windshield forward and has a z3 rear end (which is in turn from the e30)
Owned black 2001 Z3 Coupe for 2 yrs. Almost got an "excessive start" ticket after owning it for 20 minutes but was never pulled over for the duration of ownership. Was chipped so could go from 0-60 in 3.4 sec. 🤤 Sold back to dealer for half what I paid. sad day. There's a movie short of a Z3 driving from central Paris to a river at full speed at 6am to meet a girl. Had snow tires so could drive all yr round, never got stuck in snow. Had one electrical issue which was easy fix, otherwise solid reliability. Google lost track of my registration. 🤧
The osmo action 3 is way better then gopro. The action 3 has great horizon levelling and great rock steady (image Stabilisation). Had no issues with it so far. Recorded lots of great videos with it. Gopro so many issues. Main is over heating and not best video quality.
I owned a 2000 Z3 M Coupe. Nice car is many ways but I never liked its heavy feeling. To be honest I had more fun tossing around my much slower VW GTI (Mk2).
This exact model needs to be benchmarked for an EV version. But not until the battery packs are much lighter and you won’t need as big of one to get 120 miles.
OK, folks, name ONE (1) video in which Alyssa went with Kyle to some out-of-town trip to some manufacturer event to review a vehicle, or similar. Alyssa goes on "road trips" with the dogs, works in videos in the local area, and so on. Kyle has been going on these out-of-town things that he has always gone to, often with an Out of Spec staff member who does the videography. What's so different here? That the presumed Out of Spec staff member happens to be female?
Thanks for letting me join along in this special ride !
I love my 1998 Z3 2.8. I have owned it now for 23 years. Along side my two Z4 and i4 M50. Very nice review of the now classic Z3.
It has power steering. The button on the key is not for power locks. It is a light to fine the door lock in the dark.
I have a 2002 Z3 2.5i and I love it. Never seen a winter and in great shape.
That’s my dream car
1:36 Kyle Conner channel video with Out of Spec Reviews intro 😂

Love my z4 3.0i with sport package
One of my customers owned a M version of the Z3 it was a fun car to drive .
There was an M roadster and then you could get the M package on the Z3. Different cars.
I think the new cameras are good, and I believe the color is Boston Green. I had a 2002 BMW 535i in Oxford Green and it was a lighter shade.

My '02 Z3 3.0 looks identical to this one including the wheels, all stock unmodified, but has a stiff ride!

What are the numbers of this version? 0-60, hp, nm??
O-60 about 6.1 , 231bhp
How tall are you. Would I at 6ft. 2inchs fit in the drivers seat?

3.4........dont be silly
One of my favorite cars. Need to drive the 2002 M Roadster with the 315HP S54..... It's spicy 🔥
That indeed appears to be Oxford Green, Boston is much more blue.
Nice!!! BMW very good!
I have fond memories of this car, I almost put my friend's Z3 into a curb trying to drifting it 😂
I have one as good. 36k miles , siennarot red , mint . 2002. Every extra

This Z3 is Oxford Green. Boston Green is much lighter. The Engine bay is correct.
Mystery lifted! Kyle is 4 years younger than me 😉
Thats too quiet. My 2001 3.0 has Eisenenmann period correct sport cat back exhaust. I put a set of MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S on today.
Z3 looks great! Z4 not so much.

Another button-down shirt? Kyle is going for that GQ look.
I like DJI products!
GoPros are trash, DJI is great and I used all versions of them over the years without a problem.
How many kids will watch this trying to figure out this stick shift thing ?
The one thing you'll never get out of an EV unfortunately
why?
Hogy mi? 🙂
Kyle some people are speculating that you and Alyssa have broken up. Can you please confirm or deny this, please.
Good God people are nosey smh
They won't confirm, but it's pretty obvious, isn't it?
I think people are missing Alyssa perhaps she may still do some video's for out of spec.... 🤔
@@lewiscross7603 Some of us have been fans for YEARS. It's like missing a family member. We miss her alot

Good review but too long, too much useless information.
That is not an M54 engine. It is the M 52
This is a m54
She doesn't look very thrilled 😮 😁
