Jonny didn't want to join ASD full time. Chris Roetter and Emarosa split before Jonny came into the picture. Rise didn't force Jonny to join. Jonny's my roommate. My Guitar Hero video was filmed his first night in Lexington. Believe what you want though, I won't try to convince you otherwise anymore. =)
well i cant remember who told me, but a friend of jonny craig said that jonny was asking her if she knew any bands that needed a new singer, and she told him emarosa needed one at the time. he was looking for a band to sing in, and i cant see why he wouldnt have joined ASD if jordan had quit before hand. theyve been friends for years.
I remember being a fan of both DGD and Emarosa when everything went down with Jonny. Relativity has to be one of my top 5 albums of all time. With that said, I yearn for an alternate dimension where Emarosa had Jonny as clean singer and someone else as a screamer. And instead of becoming soft as hell, they carried on the sound in this video. Heavy but with Johnny's great singing voice. That would have been beautiful.

One of the reasons Chris Roetter parted with the band was the direction their new songs were going. They wrote four or five songs from Relativity while he was still in the band.

Like I said, Rise isn't what set things up for the two. It was Emarosa's old booking agent. I'm sure Rise was thrilled when they found that out, but she didn't work for Rise.

yeah the new DGD sounds really catchy and i like it a lot....but my opinion is that when you have jonny in the band, its an automatic win and many people would agree with that...id give old DGD the win simply because jonny was with them

i know it is way too late to answer.haha but in "this is your way out" it was Chris Roetter who does the clean and screaming. then they change their vocalist to Jonny Craig (jonny can't scream), then Bradley Walden then they start to sound like Maroon 5.
@ergopropterhoc a lot of screamers low and highs sound like they're in the same key, theres no other way to desrcribe it. chris's sound like theres two totaly difrent people screaming. either way, i stopped doing this, even though i was pretty good at it, for the simple reason that its bad for your vocal chords and i started singing instead.

They played what would be considered Even Bad Men Love Their Mothers earlier in the set. Bad Men doesn't really have the lyrics and if you listen he sings some from Epoch. And you shouldn't download leaks. =)

@PaintballRush222 clean singing and screaming use different sets of vocal chords, you only damage either set if you're using them improperly, I've been singing and screaming for years w/no problem. And lots of screamers can do that, rody walker, tommy rogers, etc etc
QQ .... i like 2 general types of music.. i like hardcore, deathcore, death metal and then i like.. music where they actually sing like emarosa.. and they shouldnt be both togather..
flat out johnny is an amazing singer. But i like new DGD stuff better then thier old stuff. And i like old emarosa stuff better(the album written with the original members it was more hc based) new emarosa sounds like radio hit after radio hit. not to say they dont have talent but. I guess what im trying to say is the old emarosa lineup and the new Dance Gavin Dance lineup are just better bands all around then the new line up of emarosa.
