Great video mate. A couple years ago my fishing buddy and me bumped into you fishing near the crane. You were super helpful with us as we were utter novices at light lure fishing at sea. So much fun though!

Nice insight to the technique, cool to see how you drop the rod back down to ensure you keep contact with the lighter jig rather than go heavier and loose the slow flutter
Great video, a masterclass in Light Game Garfish! I look forward to seeing more content 🙂👍🎣🎣
Thanks Rich 🤣
Very good Andy. Keep them coming. Makes me want to spend summer in Weymouth. I'll bring my warm coat.

Well noticed
Which landing net is this? It looks a good length.
Daiwa ISO handle, 5.9m
Hooks look bigger than I expected. I have made flies up with size 8 & size 6 hooks. I've yet to get to Garfish zone in Weymouth. Nearly made it today.
Did you ever catch on with the fly Patrick?
@@hookedonlurefishing I did, but not Garfish. I live in Argyll now & Gars aren't here, sadly.
Nice video
What time off the year
2 years late 🤣 my apologies, it was in May
for a slender fish they put up a killer fight haha
Such good fun
What size leader are you using in this garfish sesh Andy?
10lb BS, it’ll have either been Dangan, Seaguar or similar, can’t remember but I use the same ones all the time.
@@hookedonlurefishing thank you 🙏
