😊Okay thanks, I still would like to get the news letter when it starts please.
When your video comes up I get a little burst of joy!! You are so positive in a very negative world....THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! Sheri
Wide steps. I've never regretted wider stairs. The green choice on your upper cupboards is a good idea. This has been a really fun video to watch. As they all are.
The green cabinets make your kitchen so much warmer looking❤
I don't usually leave comments, but your channel Chelsea is one of my guilty pleasures!
Hello from Hamilton, ON 🇨🇦
Thank you for sharing all of your experience in cooking , canning, and gardening with us (and all your little fur babies).
I personally, have a much better understanding of my garden, thx to you, and it continues to thrive.
Have a wonderful day! 😊
Hello fellow Hamiltonian! :)
@@sarab8084 🖐😊
Oh, definitely put wide steps on the bunkee! Besides being a great place for potted plants, wide steps make a wonderful place to sit. We had a wide set of steps on our porch at our old farmhouse, and it was so nice to sit out there during the summer. Sometimes the whole family would be sitting on the steps, along with our dog, our “barn” cats, and occasionally a chicken or two! It was a great place to stargaze at night as well.
Sounds heavenly! Happy memories. Cheers. 🇨🇦
Congratulations on the addition of Blossom to the family! She is a beauty!❤❤
I received your news letter this morning! What a lovely surprise to be gifted with some recipes via ebook. Blessings to you and your family
Your kitchen will be so beautiful no matter what you will do. The brass knobs are perfect , I really love the green😊
I think the knobs are copper!
Pressed tin in a copper colour would look great as a backsplash too, or even just as a backsplash behind your stove as an accent. It would match the drawer pulls. Just a thought, I love vintage style kitchens. ❤ Great bar recipe, I’m trying that one!
My ex husband’s grandmother was an amazing cook and I had her write down a few recipes for me , she lived to be 101 and I love to have these treasures. She wrote a family history as well .
Blossom is a beautiful baby. She looks like she is doing great!
I love the Sage and it is one of my favorite colors. It is soothing and inviting where red can sometimes make you feel anxious. I love seeing the progress on your homestead and that calf is so adorable.
Blossom is a blessing! She is gorgeous! Thank you for the newsletter.
Wife steps would be beautiful with the flowers puts down each side. And I would keep the same color theme on your property. Red doors are beautiful with the black trim. Congrats on the new addition to the farm she sure is cute for sure. Looking forward to the drawing tomorrow. I r m love to win the pressure canner. But I never have any luck winning anything. Good luck to everyone. 😊
Wide steps on cabin! Flowers set it off!!
Wide steps always look better. In front of the front door centres the look of the building, always better.
You can paint the cabin doors al different color so you can name it by color if someone need to bring things over to that cabin 😊
Love your grow room! Wide steps definitely - I can see some of your beautiful flowers in pots lining the steps!
Dan is doing a great job on the cabin. Thanks for sharing your life.
That calf is so precious. That’s the one…that’s the cow I want for Christmas! Santa, please deliver her to me. 😁😍
Pam here…make sure you have hand rail on your steps off deck of bunkie. I fell off my sister in law’s cabin steps…as there was nothing to hang on to and landed on my side cracking 5 ribs from my elbow crushing into chest. A lot of pain and was black and blue entire back and side. So fortunate not to end up with head injury. We made our front porch steps wide, so getting up or out with furniture was easy. Have railings and ledges on the outside of rails for our pots and planters.
The new calf is so cute. The lemon dessert is amazing. Thank you for sharing. Love all your videos and your advice and teaching
I love that cookbook binder. I have all of my Mum's hand written recipe cards and I have been organizing them, then I laminate them, use a 3 hole paper punch and then put them in a binder She had such lovely handwriting.
Wide steps on the bunkie with flower pots on the sides sounds amazing!
I think each cabin should have its own color! Doors and shutters, etc. That way you can have the green cabin, red cabin, yellow cabin etc!
We love this idea!
I like the idea of large width stairs on the bunkie, flower pots sound nice but a planting of evergreens on the ground along the stair would be lovely as well. Beautiful place
Oh yum. Anything lemon is a favourite.
I think your green looks cosy and warmer, you made the right choice.❤️🌺🌺
For the Cabin door - Sage Green, Chestnut Brown or a Maroon would look beautiful and compliment the natural colors around it
Welcome sweet bossom.She is precious!
Maybe steps and a ramp as well? You'll never know, but I'm sure it'll come in handy someday.
I think the green upper cupboards will look so good! And with the brass handles!!! I love it!
😊The green cabinets are fabulous! Sage is my absolute favorite colour and loving the vintage looks you are going for👍.. I think the wide steps on the Bunkie is definately the better choice! It's great oppertunity to beautify the bunky with gorgeous flowers and with wider more open steps (to me.. ) is very inviting. 😊
Love your videos! I wish I lived with more room to garden and have chickens again, but I’ll live vicariously through you!!
Definitely a wide stairs on the front of the bunkey!!!!!!
I was just thinking how the green cabinets have opened up/lightened up the kitchen. Painting the uppers the same beautiful color will tie it all together. Job well done!
Love your cabinets. The lemon bars look great. And the baby is so cute. Thanks for everything you do.
If I were to build that cookbook shelf close to the stove, I'd put glass doors or a curtain in front.
I found that oil floats in the air and settles on things nearby.
Probably not noticeable if you are cleaning often, but I'm a bachelor! Dirt doesn't get cleaned until it's noticeable. 😄
Dear Chelsea, ♥️
I just ordered your Hardcover Cookbook off of Amazon as your shop was Sold Out.
Can’t wait to get your Cookbook!!
Merry Christmas Chelsea & Beautiful Family,
Patricia (Daniel)
Love the green on the upper cabinets. You might want to photograph all your old newspaper/index card recipes anyway because ink fades over time.
The upper cabinets will look so nice with the green paint! Blossom is beautiful, congratulations 💖
Suggestion for kitchen: While admiring the great looking white shelf over your stove I thought how nice it would look to put similar over the windows eliminating the need for fabric curtains. I installed a hanging light fixture over my sink as task lighting which I love. There are many to choose from that would give that 1930s affect you like ( a school house fixture for example). Welcome to the world, Blossom!
Blossom is adorable 🥰
The bunkie is looking fantastic, definitely go with wide steps and the sage green accent color would look so beautiful 😍 Thanks so much Chelsea for the ebook recipe gift through your newsletter it’s such a blessing 💚Dee
In order to have lambs for sale for fair week, we had to breed for lambs in February. Worst month of the year to be in the barn pulling lambs at 2a.m.! And they ALWAYS picked the coldest night of the winter 🥶 So glad when we decided not to worry about fair lambs any more and could put in the buck later😊
Blossom is a beauty! What a fantastic surprise!
Love the green cupboards...bottom and top 💕 And really like the idea of the counter top next to the stove with shelves facing your living room. Beautiful calf 😍
Hi Chelsea, I just want to give you a few tips on Microgreens. First soak the peas for at least 6-8 hours. To have good growth plant 275-330 gram in a 1020 tray. Put another tray on top and weight it with a couple of bricks. After 4 days then put it under light. Each seed has different requirements. Have fun
I admire your passion and collection of cookbooks and recipes. I too have always been that way for over 50 years now. I've even saved recipes from food packages 😊 my favorite wedding gift ( the only gift I still have ) is a hand- written notebook of recipes from my sister in law ( she was raised old-school country/farm) and learned alot from her mother and grandmother
Love lemon bars but the seeing the beautiful calf is my favorite! We raised and milked Jersey's and Guernsey's when I was young. I sure miss them and the time I had learning to milk and care for them from my Dad. 😍
One of our mares who didn’t come into heat fir over a year and we had her checked and our vet determined through ultrasound that she was barren , the next year I woke early looked out our kitchen window and her snd foal were in our hayfield was an interesting surprise .
So glad you are going with the green for super cabinets. It looks so unfinished with the white. Good choice.
I think the green on upper cabinets is great! Every time I watched your video, since the paint job, I thought of contacting you to suggest the green. So glad you have chosen to do it.
Seeing all your newspaper clippings have me an idea. You could make replicas/copies of the old pages and use them to cover the inside back wall of your cabinets/shelves.
I like the sage green with the brass knobs and pulls. Good choice. Congrats on the new baby calf. I like nice wide steps too, great for photos.
Absolutely love the extended countertop idea, the new calf is so freaking adorable, the cabin is absolutely looking fabulous and cozy, I would do the 4 foot stairs in front of the door. and the only thing I don’t like the edge of is brownies. The middle is so warm and gooey yummy
Oh my....that calf is adorable. I grew up on a farm. We raised steers from small, sometimes bottle or bucket feeding, until market. I just love cows.
I think wide steps would look nice on the bunky.
Love watching your videos.
AWESOME! Good idea on stove shelf/cook book thingy... Merry Xmas!
The corner edge of anything is the best!!!
My vote would be for an evergreen accent color to blend with the trees. 😊
Oh boy! Have to try those things now! Thanks for sharing your life with us!
Congratulations on the new calf - she is a sweetie. The cabin looks great - I would suggest the wider stairs centered on the door. I think the cupboards will look nice in the sage green.. Good idea with cupboard - a butcher block top would be nice to tie into the one you work on regularly. I am thinking that upper cabinets over the stove would also be a nice addition -mind you our potato chipper would then have a home over top of the new cupboard. Great, fun video.
I love lemon bars & it made my mouth water seeing them! Thanks for sharing the beautiful Blossom calf& her mom, sheep & kitty! The bunkie is looking wonderful! Blessings to all 🤗💕🇨🇦
Wide stairs and sage green accents. Have you maybe considered also painting the window frames?
I hope you will not regret painting the bottom and railing black because that will show dirt and dust very soon (rain, wind... ) . The color your kitchen has is perfect to hide such things and would look crisp much longer and will save you in cleaning time. We choose that green color for that reason for our garage door and it so nice.
Any thing lemon adds joy to my soul....I will take the corner please. LoL
Wide steps in the ftont of the cabin would be great. Especially if walking little kids up the stairs.
A sunshine yellow on the doors with black hardware!!
Yes, upper and lowers green… it looks cohesive!
Ivy is as old as I am! That’s crazy! Alive all those same years!
Yes the green does look beautiful top cupboards. And I would so keep the counter top too :) Love it. Wear and tear just means a lot of love. Love love love the book to save those recipes. Fantastic. Oh my gosh how amazing the little book from 1887 and in pretty darn good condition wowsa!!! Oh my gosh baby girl is so so beautiful 💕💕💕I do so love lemon bars! Can't wait to make them. Was on my list but well....maybe tomorrow. hugs
I think everything you said you wanted to do sounds great. Wide stairs on the side you want. Its going to look great!
I'll have to make your dessert, I love anything lemon. Your bunky would look beautiful with the wider steps with flower pots on both sides. Have a great day.❤
I quite like the green on the upper cabinets, good decision. Lemon bars are a favourite, need to make some soon. Nice surprise, she looks very good.
The new idea for beside the range is much better, both for the counter space and keeping your collection safe and on display. I hope you are using archival sleeves for the old papers.
Love the sage green, but really like the look of a red door.
Since the plan is to eventually have several cabins, maybe a different color door for each to make it easier to refer to them.
You are so fun to watch. I enjoy your videos. I’m glad you decided to go with the green on the upper cupboards. As for the door of the little cabin, I am thinking redish.
Wide steps. When renting this out space to carry suitcases up. It also feels welcoming.
Love love the deep beautiful yolks ❤
Love the bookcase/countertop unit for next to the stove!! Genius!! 📚👩🏻🍳❤
💚 What a sweet surprise, little Blossom! The Lemon Bars look lovely 🍋🍋..The Bunkie is SO cool, it is getting closer and closer to being finished! 💚
I think green on the upper cabinets will look great!
I think a sage green or dark green for doors would look awesome. Blossom looks lovely.
Wide and in front! I agree with you Chelsea! It’s going to look great!
I made Italian Christmas cookies with lemon extract instead of Annas. They came out absolutely fabulous. ❤
BEAUTIFUL pulls and knobs !❤😊
Love your videos. I say paint the doors a sage green so it fits better in nature. Red is beautiful but would really be bright among the wonderful colors of the trees
Chelsea - what about a skin blue accent colour? Would definitely look pretty in the summer with the flower pots. 😍🇨🇦
It might be nice to have the parking area to the left of the cabin so that the view from the front and side deck wouldn't be obscured. You probably already thought of this 😊. Then a short ramp against the house on the left side to help with moving things, luggage, etc. into the cabin and wide steps in the front.
I loved my Formica counters. It’s time for a comeback.
Those lemon bars we have been making for years. 😃😃 Delish! Love the green on top as well, it is beautiful. 😊
That cabin is looking so good. Kudos to Dan 🙌🏻. I think a black front door would look sharp on the cabin, to match the future spindles. But the skies the limit. Front doors can be any color and they always look nice. How fun! I look forward to your videos. Thanks for sharing. Baby Blossom is darling ❤️
The bars look so good. I think the bunky door would look nice
Olive green a little darker then your cabinets
The green makes your counter pop !
When you look at your kitchen from the lounge area the white cupboards
looked too much like the dishwasher, fridge and oven, so to me it sort of made it look smaller. I'm so glad you're going with that beautiful soft green.
Blossom is so adorable. The lemon bars do look so good. Ty Chelsea. You are amazing.
I love the sage colour (green is my favourite colour too) and the copper hardware looks fantastic.
One thing about your cookbook shelf. You might want to put doors on it because so close to that big window you will get sunlight damage on your books over time and if they are treasured books it would be a shame to damage them. xxx
love the color --looks great on the top cupboards--i have a small dresser in my hallway painted moss green and i just love it!!!
Aww blossom what a lovely name for a beautiful little lady! Definitely wide steps! Not sure about the door color though! lol
Paint the door "senapsgul" is what we say in sweden. In englisch it would be mosterd yellow would look great with that black!
That sounds very good!!! That calf is pretty cute 😉
