Family speaks out with updates in Riley Strain's case...
The University of Missouri student had been cut off by the bartender at Luke Bryan’s bar, 32 Bridge Food + Drink, after he was overserved, Strain’s stepfather Chris Whiteid said. A friend of Strain’s attempted to leave the bar with him as security led Strain out of the bar around 9:30 p.m., but the security team would not let him out at that point, according to Strain’s stepfather.

My heart breaks for Riley's loved ones. Perhaps the incompetence of the police helps to explain why Tennessee is the 6th most dangerous state in the nation, according to Forbes magazine; March 1, 2024. His fraternity is definitely negligent - if not legally, then certainly morally. Shame on them for not helping Riley when he needed them. They are not brothers. They claimed they left him to pay for bar tabs when it's a pay as you go concept. Returning to the hotel knowing the condition Riley was in and not notifying police for hours? Something is a miss with that narrative.

I feel so bad for the family. It is ridiculous what Nashville PD put them through. They are so unprofessional. Volunteers were trying to help and they refused to let Equeesearch help. What are they trying to hide. Were they scared that many bodies would be found. Nashville will NEVER be the same because the world knows what happened to Riley and how the family was treated. Keep pressing you will get answers.
I will NEVER go to Nashville...I believe this has happened many times before. There is another place in Tx called Lady Bird Lake, that is having this same problem. Men, being drugged, and found dead in the lake. Apparently, there are alot of bars, close to this lake. You should check it out

Yes it is safe! My girlfriends and I walk all over downtown. We walk across the pedestrian bridge over to the stadium and back. We’ve never been afraid. Have you ever been to Austin, Texas? California? Atlanta? New York? Charleston, SC? They are no different than Nashville.

When I viewed this case weeks ago, saw the video when this poor sweet young man was asked to leave the bar...He didn't look drunk to me....I STRONGLY FELT, Riley was "TARGETED, DRUGGED, ROBBED.. I didn't understand WHY his fret boys didn't leave with him when he was asked to leave this hole in a wall of a bar....Sad you can't travel to have a nice time without being drugged, and taking advantage of... Also this happens with men, women on these cruise ships, They tend to jump ship/or jump into the water...

The way his "friends" reacted remind me of a similar situation that happened to a young lady when I was working at a hotel in Dallas.
It was New Years and she had a suite with a bunch of friends. She came up to the counter on Jan 1st early in the morning with her going out clothes still on, asking to get into the room. She had no ID on her and her name wasn't on the room information. We checked the room before we let her in and were only able to do so because all the guests' belongings were all gone. Her friends had left her and took all her stuff. She had lost her phone somewhere in the night. She said her friends knew that. Luckily her mom lived about 40 mins away. So we gave her the phone to call her mom and we let her get her car out for free (obviously) and she was on her way.
She could have had a much more dangerous night with her friends ditching her and having no phone or anything with her.
God bless y'all for being there for her. Those so-called friends were not her friends.
@user-tm9ld4xt3h Yes, I was so mad for her. They really put her in a bad spot and I'm so glad she made it back that morning okay considering. She had such a great demeanor given the situation.
I always tell my children they are grown. Be careful when you are out with friends be more responsible. Always cover your back. Those you call friends may be your friends but they are not mine.
The fact that he left his key speaks volumes regarding his natural inclination to seek assistance to get home
I feel like he figured his roommate would be able to let him in. Perhaps that person sharing a room with him wanted him ditched that night so he could be with his female friend that would go with him to the formal. Riley didn't have a date. I wish he never would have went. I feel it was set up to prank him before they even went to Nashville.

The 14 hours before contacting police...did they purposely wait for whatever drug to flush through his system? That's a long time to wait knowing he was in SOME sort of jeopardy.
My personal opinion is they need to look at those frat brothers. Something stinks to me with them. If he truly was speaking to some boys on speaker and they were telling him go straight.. that WAS SOMEONE HE KNEW. Again.. investigate those frats.

It could’ve been an honest misunderstanding because the hotel had the same name as the hotel, but was in the opposite direction of the hotel. This has been reported.

If these videos are from cameras located on PUBLIC buildings, taking video of PUBLIC areas, how is it even legal for them to be kept from the public? Can someone bring a lawsuit to obtain the footage??

I heard a female in bar/ maybe worker stated it was a complete misunderstanding as to why Riley was asked to leave. She stated he actually was trying to be helpful and was misunderstood.

I don't even know Riley and this case has really touched me and breaks my heart. I've cried multiple times, it's terrible and soooo sad 😞 the more info that comes out about the case the more it breaks my heart. And I don't think the outcome is going to be good I know for a fact I am gonna cry like a baby 😢 I check everyday to see if theirs updates. I've followed since day 1 and I said from the start what i think happened and now its coming out that the family think too. NOTHING makes sense at all! Never did right from the 1st surveillance footage.... I really hope the family gets answers soon they deserve that! I think part of the reason Rileys disappearance has stuck with the public in this way is because so many reported having had bad things happen to them in Nashville, at those same bars. I think its safe to say that Nashville has a dirty underbelly that they don't want exposed.

Riley's loved ones should know that there are a lot of us that still want to know what happened to dear Riley. We have not forgotten. I personally believe that there has been a cover up from the day of the first LE press conference when they knew nothing, but were already so sure there was no foul play, the river was not involved and it was an accident. It was suspect right from the beginning. They seemed to be doing nothing much right from the beginning. Neither the debit card or Riley's body was discovered by LE. Add to the fact that 2 or 3 other bodies were found while they were searching for Riley in the river, some not even reported missing. That tells anyone with a brain that this is a fairly common occurence. One of the homeless were quoted saying a lot of drunk people wander that way, that that slso was a common occurrence. With that river so close to downtown where all the bars are, and the up to 60 ft steeo drop offs from the ground to the river, why is their no continous safety fencing all along that area? I also remember hearing the homeless were saying it is a dangerous area for muggings, etc by other homeless. Hence why the coverup began. I think much could have been done at each step to make sure Riley was safe, but sadly bothing was done. From the bar owner, to law enforcement, to the city itself. This is a tourist town where no one knows their way around, add huge amounts of drunk people to that and then the danger of that river to a dark, dangerous, unfenced high crime area filled homeless, filth and debris easily slipped on aling that steep drop off. Then as a result of what happened to Riley, i brlieve it was the mayor that made a statement that perhaps they should think about safety fencing around the river. As for Luke Bryan's bar, they should have made sure Riley left with someone or they called an Uber for him. They have responsibilities of keeping their guests safe, not only while they're making money from them, but when they leave. They are responsible for the way they sent him out, just like adults are at parties for their guests. You don't just get to take in all the money with no accountability. Luke Bryan also removed his "This is scary statement" from his social media, only posted because if pressure from the fans. After tgat post was taken down, not another word from Luke. Im sure lawyers advised him to take the post down and say nothing else in case the family sued. Everyone knows Downtown Nashville is a dangerous place for tourists, let alone being drunk alone in a dangerous part of town. They have a lot of reasons to coverup crime, because of the huge tourism dollars the city takes in. If people perceive it as a high crime area, that certainly has a negative impact on tourism. It is a city that exists basically to get people drunk and take in tons of money. There needs to be accountability and procedures to keep people safe there and they have been massively neglectful at doing any of that. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand this is a massive coverup.
Riley's Law is definitely something that needs to be fought for to keep this from happening to others and to make this city accountable.

We all feel like we knew Riley through hearing so much about him from all his loved ones. Every parent who knows about this case has a heavy heart, especially those with an adult child of this age range.
Every missing person is a horrible tragedy, but there was just something so special to everyone about Riley. A really good kid, a loving son, such a kind and caring person for someone his age with many friends, a great student just about to graduate with his whole life ahead of him.
It is no wonder what a loving young man Riley was when you see all the love he was and still is surrounded with.
Riley told his family he would do great things. I still believe he will with Riley's Law.

A case in Colorado afew yrs ago, a n 18 yr old named Tyler Chisom, floated down the Colorado River, and was missing for 18 days. When they finally found him, he was still wearing his swim trunks...Boots, are hard to get off, usually a 2 person job...

Hotel hallway lobby surveillance footage should be reviewed. His problems began within his own inner circle of friends or so called friends. Im still courious about why he was kicked out of the bar? Certainly there has to be footage from inside the bar?
Ugh my heart hurts so bad for them. This is a family that loves their son so much and are fighting so hard to get the answers they deserve. From day 1 I have thought it was impossible for him to even have made it to the water if he fell. It just doesn’t make sense. I live here. I know the area very well. I believe he was drugged. And I believe that someone did something to him. I think it’s out of control disturbing how his fraternity brothers and the school have handled the situation. I think it’s disturbing how it’s so hush hush because they are trying to keep the bad mouthing to a minimum about the fraternity. Also the police force has such a bad rep here in Nashville and especially Sumner Co where Sebastian is missing. It’s a mess and so scary as a parent. How are we suppose to trust that they would do everything possible to bring people missing home. They suck at it period. TN as a whole has become a shit show. On so many topics.
