I had to figure this out myself. Green selects a mode. Each mode has its own green light. Ex. If you want to select the battery you have to get one solid light. Then when you get one solid light you hold down the trigger and it goes into subcategory mode. Which is yellow. Then you pick the exact yellow light position and then hold it down again to go back into select mode. If you have a apple device you can download the manual on IBooks.
You press the trigger to cycle through the modes. When you see the mode you want to enter, simply hold the trigger for a bit longer until the lights change.
Another poorly titled video....This is mostly just going through settings as its already installed before the video was even done. Those newbies here for the "Installation" part there isn't any.
If you do a full rate of fire build, you can actually DS3 fire to 50% so you dont overshoot really bad. it is fun to play around with in the backyard and then you show up to the field you just haven't done that sounds like an evil woodpecker untill you neuter the rof.
Thank you for a very usefull video, though I have one question; on gearboxes with full auto mode only, like the a&k m249 saw, will the programming of the fire mode change anything? Or will it stay full auto (except the semi/burst mode)? Thank you.
Nice video. So,when using Gate Merf 3.2 mosfet, motor contacts have to be soldered directly onto the motor tabs in order so the trigger contacts don't burn when using 11.1 V Lipo. Does the same apply when using "simpler" and cheaper GATE AB mosfet? Thanks
O I have a question for you on this. Did you wire both signal wires to both sides of your contacts. I just bought one and I was going to move 1 contact wire down to the other one and then solder the single signal wire to that spot on the contact. Is there a benefit to do it either way. I see it came with 2 different wires for the signal. One has 2 wires and the other 1 wire
I changed mine from semi/burst back to auto, once I held down save now the gun just won't shoot at all. When I plug it all in together two yellow lights for one second and then nothing
I'm having a bit of an issue I have programed the mosfet the way I want but when I cnect the mosfet tho the gun the green light comes back on and I can't shoot. I also have it wired to advanced mode please hel9
You can turn semi auto into burst fire if you have it in hardwired mode, that's what I've done with my G&G AK-104. I have a 3 round burst in semi auto and a 30 RPS capped full auto in full auto. The gearbox does 34 RPS at 100% ROF, but I've capped it to 30 with smart trigger on to get better trigger response at lower ROF.
I just wanted to know I have an umarex g36c.. there is two contacts from battery and one from the motor. Where do i have to solder the signal... and do I have to use the dual? Or single?
Hey i need help!!! i installed my mosfet using simple mode, and my gun shoots fine without the mosfet, but when i plug in the mosfet, all i get are two orange lights for 3 seconds, and then it turns off. My gun will not shoot when the merf is installed... any advice?
What can be wrong, if i plug in the battery and the mosfet starts up (two green+two orange LEDs blink one time and then the two orange ones blink one time), but when i pull the trigger, nothing happens?
Force24T&S well, i didn't solve the problem. I sent it to a shop and they repaired it, but didn't really tell me, what they did exactly (even after i asked). so maybe they just changed the mosfet (because they have those mosfets in their shop) or another possibility could be that something fused in the mosfet and they somehow repaired it. Sadly i can't help you further.
Take the tiny black wire that goes into the MOSFET and flip it around to where the silver part of it is facing away from the MOSFET or the other way around
Great content here, I needed a new control unit for my BR55 battle rifle replica, and the GATE unit seemed like it was byt far the best option. Unfortunately, I wasn't sure how to read the programming code. YOu might want to try using a headset microphone e for consistent volume levels, too.
Hey After I plug in my 11.1v lipo, The Green and yellow lights blink, then the yellow blink, and they all stay off like in your video. Then I pull the trigger once to try and program \ select battery type and Nothing happens :o is mine defective?
It is a shame that in your video about installation everything is already installed. personally i would want more detailed information as to the actual installation, especially in enhanced mode.
I have one of these wired into a TM P90 in enhanced mode. I am having trouble with the Burst/Auto mode. When I select this I get Burst/Burst. Have you encountered this? Any ideas?
Have you wired the unit to both sets of trigger contacts? THe P90 is a tricky little guy. YOu may have just attached it to the semiautomatic leads rather than the full-auto leads.
Would it be at all possible to show what you mean by this? Maybe a quick circuit diagram? That would be greatly appreciated. Not sure how to connect to both unless you mean connect in parallel.
***** You need to wire the unit to the secondary trigger contacts, the ones that do full auto. You may also have to tighten your primary trigger contacts, if they are too loose, the primary and secondary contacts may engage simultaneously.
009013M3 It's not difficult at all. The positive motor wire in the stock wiring is the gate wire in the new wiring. The AUG and P90 are the easiest AEG's to wire IME, as all the wiring is easily accessed. MP5's and M4's are much more difficult to wire IMO.
Yes it does! It's got all the features of advanced MOSFETs currently on the market, and it is priced competitively and easy to install.

Was hoping to see a demo of the smart trigger. Despite this, your video was highly informative. Thanks!
Thanks bro. My replica was starting shooting as soon as i connect The battery.

This is a nice electronic unit, but it will reduce the amount of battery space in your buffer tube. Keep that in mind.
how do you save the settings in simple mode. i can program my merf, but the gun doesnt shoot when the merf is plugged in

how do u get to that manual u are using

hey have you solved what was the problem with the mosfet?
please let me know
check your connection to your motors. If the connectors are bad, the mosfet will think its in programming mode, and wont shoot
Is it possible to program semi for burst instead?
Great Video, is it possible to set the burst mode to fire single shot only, so configured to safe/single/burst(single shot)??
very usefull !!
so can you have a full auto and burst or does it have to be burst and semi or full and semi?

Hey, does the gate 3.2 have active breaking?
Hey i need help!!! i installed my mosfet using simple mode, and my gun shoots fine without the mosfet, but when i plug in the mosfet, all i get are two orange lights for 3 seconds, and then it turns off. My gun will not shoot when the merf is installed... any advice?
hey have you found out what was causing that problem?
I wired everything as said, set the mosfet but it doesn't shoot! pls help
i think mine is dead, it wont show any lights when connecting it to a battery or enter programming mode
Hi, I'm trying to update right now.. but I've a question, for the active break feature do I need to remove the cut off lever. Thank you.
if you still need answer: you have to remove your anti-reversal latch too as far as i know
Can u you use Tamiya
Hello what kind of motor is this can i use this on a vm4a1 kwa ?
Airsoft Store Canada exactly what program are you using? It looks like an app of some sort.
It's the Manual in PDF Format.
I recently did an install guide for the MERF and NanoAB MOSFETs.
Check out the link in the video description.

hey dude did you solve the problem? I've got the same issue. everything set but I can't shot.

flip the tiny wire around
what do you mean exactly? to flip the thin wire plug on the mosfet?
Take the tiny black wire that goes into the MOSFET and flip it around to where the silver part of it is facing away from the MOSFET or the other way around
Is the little red button come with it

hey man did you solve the problem? I have the same problem
does you or anyone know how to turn on active breaking? i cant find any information on how to turn it on/off in the manual or internet
you cont turn it on or off. its permanently set into the programming. But I don't see why you need to turn it off.

Great video\
I recently did a quick guide on how to install the MERF3.2 and NanoAB.
You can check it out by following the link in the video description.
Will this fit in an AEP?
simkarte123 In theory yes.

The P90 and the AUG use multiple different trigger contacts. It's a pain, but it's doable. I will try to draw it out for you, maybe make a video.

Tldr watch this after you have installed the MERF, this isn't a guide. Just a settings instructional.
