As a scout, I often play to clear the path forward for my team from a distance. But if I see that's not working, then I go with the iron sights and bayonet and get to work.
It’s even more of a kick to the balls when you’ve been in first the whole game and now your score resets for the next map The feeling of losing at 0 tickets is truly painful
One thing I really hate is when you spend the entire game pushing the defenders to the last objective, and then the game puts you on the defender's side
Craziest experienced I had in Operation while this track played. We were in the Argonne forest holding the very last objectives as the Germans. Holy shit was my heart pounding when the Americans took 1 objectives while we held the last one on the far right, and this track wasn't helping ease the situation. There were literally a dozen enemies caught on fire running over the hill to cap the flag as a last ditch effort but damn we held them off (I clearly remember this part 2:28). Most fun I had in any Battlefield game to date. However if that was real life I would have nightmares for the rest of my life.
I had a very similar experience in the same map, I had to defend the last telegraph, we were about 5 soldiers and I only had a luger and a 920m graphic card, we held them for a long time. we lost with honor. And Yes we are a real Battlefield players
For me, this theme, especially the part that begins at 2:45, makes me feel good regardless of whether my team won or lost; If we were victorious, I could feel the heroism, accomplishment, and glory that came with it. If we faced defeat, I felt that we did our best, and that even if our efforts were in vain, we may be remembered, and just maybe we could still push on to victory another day.
I feel that none of us have had a true emotional connection to the soldiers that fought in WWI than now in Battlefield 1. When I played the very first war story, where you play as the Harlem Hellfighters, every time you were shot and killed and it flashed the soldiers name, birth and death date, dying in a game never hit me so hard before. I immediatley started thinking about all of the soldiers who gave their lives in the face of war, the war to end all wars, which ended nothing. Almost 40 million people died in ways that none of us could even comprehend, they were merely pawns in a giant game of Chess, every move made by the worlds leaders was another sacrifice. They faced threats that no soldier ever faced before 1914. When you think of it this way, it really makes you think how much war actually costs and impacts the world, and how stupid it really is. The amount of courage to fight a war like that is astonishing, and I don't think we give them enough credit for what they did. Rest in paradise to the 38 million that died in the war to end all wars. Your sacrifices will never be in vain.
Otto Valadez my great grandfather fought in the great war on the British side, he saw people get slaughtered in absolutley brutal ways, and witnessed his friends get blown to pieces by artillery. He was devastated by the war, and after the war, he just wanted to die, when he got Pneumonia, he didn't want to do anything about it, he just let the Pneumonia kill him because he was so depressed. War destroys peoples lives. But you know what they say, from the ashes, and new forest arises.
***** Yes not many people know the true horrors of war, and it is hard to explain. Everyone sees death and killing on TV and video games, they think it's like that, that they've seen it all. There's only one way they can understand.
Otto Valadez Seeing people die in front of you with you own eyes has much more of an impact, what people don't understand is the people that die had lives of their own, a family to go back to, and maybe even a wife and kids that love them. behind every gunsight is a living, breathing human being just like you. taking someones life is even harder, nobody can do it without feeling.
My great great granfather fought for the Ottomans. He saw his cousin and his best friend die in front of him.. The war truly traumatized him, he couldn't speak normally for the rest of his life, my grandfather told me...
SI UOMINI, che le nostre grida di vittoria di odano in tutt'Europa. Abbiamo fatto irruzione e conquistato la fortezza, ORA ci uniremo all'unità sulla Costa dell'Adriatico per l'atto FINALE!
"We won! The empire is close to victory. The italian ranks are diminishing, but we expect one final attack. Let's show these usurpers who truly rules these mountainous lands!"
The Americans have been stalled! The Hindenburg Line is secure. We can now negotiate trough some equal terms. Let this mark the end of slaughter, end of damage, the end of hate.
lol when I play Pigeons, I make sure to carry the M97. I kill those birds left and right. I've killed multiple in a match. For some reason, I end up on teams where people will not try to shoot that fucker down when the enemy releases it.
Atte Flinkman Even in the right conditions, the British empire could even have entered the war on the central power's side, they had the means to, but fought for the western nations instead. Imagine how different the world would be today if they did.
Unlikely, the Germans already had sunk the Lusitania, a ship which carried hundreds of Americans. At this stage, Anti-German sentiment begins to grow and America joining the Central Powers had a very very low probability.
Before the G.E. torpedoed the Lusitania, the U.S. was trading with them. If the G.E. had not ordered its navy to attack merchant ships, and had not sent the Zimmerman Note, it is likely America would have remained neutral.
(0:00 - 1:15) Monte Grappa... The Italians were pushing us back to Ferro Fortress. We were down to our last stand, as the Italians were pushing us back. I ran with my Comrades in the Basement to seal off the bunker entrance. Before I went, However, I grabbed my kit. A flame trooper kit, equipped with a fire proof suit and gas mask meant for fighting the flames, with a Wex flamethrower. We made our way down to the bunker. (1:16 This is when the music kicks in) As we made our way to the bunkers, we saw more of our brothers falling back from further in the basement, yelling "They're here! They're here!" Others fall back as well, except for me. I stood my ground. (2:00 The climax) They came. I saw a sea of green, one by one, running towards me, unaware of their immediate demise. The flames roar to life. they screamed in agony, and ran away, attempting to die the flames, but to no avail. I walked through the fiery inferno, unfazed, and saw burnt corpses around me. it was at this moment, that I stepped out of Monte Grappa... ...And straight into hell.

It's such an adrenaline rush in Operations when you've reached the final objective and the team attacking has zero tickets left but the game is still going due to the objective being contested. Both teams are doing everything they can and everyone is bayonet charging toward the flag.
The feel of bf1, i just miss that in bf5. The gameplay is really good fun but the epic soundtrack and the little things from bf1 just lack. Like when the officer will give a speech before round start or the grand scale and triumphant music during operations...
Levi The Gamer modern is very boring though so sadly bfv was the last chance at a ww2 battlefield, at least for a very long time. All i wanted to see was the hardly known nations like Slovakia, Bulgaria, Denmark, etc. Because everyone just thinks it was only Germany, japan, America, Russia and britain that fought...and with obviously the right uniforms. But no they couldn't even give the nations that were already in actual uniforms. Not to mention the ttk fuck ups and that guns sound like paintball guns
This one MAY BE the best. (in my opinion) it really is appropriate for that last push to either secure victory, or to gain the lead at the end of a close game.
"Our Attack has failed, Austria has managed to hold their ground, But if we pull together like true Italians, these walls of rock will crumble, and the empire will fall!"
Fantastico Soldati, revel in your freedom and gaze upon this land of ours The Kingdom of Italy! Our (Italian words) is an example to the entire world The Italian Victory known as the Vittorio Veneto brought and end to the war on the Italian Front and resulted in the complete collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. This also meant that the war on the Western Front would soon come to an end. Victory Winning a game on this map is so satisfying. Also as someone who studies history, I find it very fitting that it was the Italians that dealt the killing blow to the Habsburgs and their empire. The people they once ruled over were the same that defeated them forever. Italy's rise to independence and unification is, in my opinion, one of the most inspiring stories in European history.
2:45 easily the best part of this track and probably one of the most patriotic themes I've heard right behind Captain America: The Winter Soldier theme.
We defended well. Now, breathe deeply, men. Shout out with pride at this small victory, then steel yourselves again, for our fight is not over. Onward!

I love that feeling of pushing through the conquer hell operation in one go and at the end of the round on Argonne Forrest you hear that song of pure victory
Man, I remember this song play for 45 minutes on the Austra-Hungry and Italian operation. I was the defending side and the attackers manage to punch straight through us up to the final objective. And for 45 minutes or the 3 rounds we valiantly held the final objective and won.
Ahhh, I know that World War 1 was one of the bloodiest, and the most depressing for the world. But man do I wish I was there to serve the country with this playing. This music perfectly symbolizes what the soldiers went through. Rest in piece our heroes
"The Americans have been stopped, the Hindenburg Line is secure. Now we can negotiate a truce on equal terms! let this mark the end of slaughter, the end of damage, the end of hate."
That moment when your team has spent two battalions trying to take the second sector on Monte Grappa and your just sitting on the deploy screen waiting for the match to end already:
I remember playing on monte grappa as the Austro-Hungarians in back to basics and the Italians were all rushing and had us In the 3rd sector where we just kept holding them off for the first 2 battalions and then in the last battalion they pushed us into the final sector and yet we still won.
It was the final part of the match. We were playing in Argone forest, defending the last sector, they had taken Apples, only Butter remained. We threw everything we got to defend it, they got on top and were taking it, we lost it, I got into a bunker with a few teammates and we killed as many as we could to prevent them from taking it, then with all the gas and smoke grenades thrown, our team came up and we retook the objective, and we won. This music made it even more intense.
People talk about the stress of fending off an attack when this plays, for me is when I die while this song is playing and me just yelling at the game to let me respawn faster
Fantastico, fratelli! Revel in your freedom and gaze upon this land of ours, the Kingdom of Italy! Our Sacro Egoismo is an example to the entire world.
FANTASTICO! FRATELLI! Gioie per la libertà e ammirate le vostre terre! Ammirate il Regno d’Italia! Che il nostro sacro egoismo sia d’esempio per il mondo intero!

That moment when your team has spent two battalions trying to take the second sector on Monte Grappa and your just sitting on the deploy screen waiting for the match to end already:
I’m italian and I need to say that I Love this
2:45 my favourite part
I remember playing on monte grappa as the Austro-Hungarians in back to basics and the Italians were all rushing and had us In the 3rd sector where we just kept holding them off for the first 2 battalions and then in the last battalion they pushed us into the final sector and yet we still won.
"O la vittorio o tutti accpopati" Motto of the Italian Arditi meaning "either we win or we all die"
O la vittoria o tutti accoppati!!
Defending that bunker turret while this plays is something else man
You the man!
Aha, the They Shall Not Pass motif at the end.
Didn't this come out before TSNP?
@@meem5415 It did, but it's just something I never realised.
nobody remembers this plays in forest of argonne conquer hell
1 Attacker remaining on Empire's Edge and winning as Italy!
AVANTI SAVOIA!
we are have way there!
The music that flips you're beast mode on
3:57-4:19
The way it ends on one fading note makes my skin craw. It's too good. The Great War was truly great.
War is never a good thing. You sound like an idiot.
The part at 0:35 reminds me of artillery falling from the sky.
When the Italians are at the fort and the snipers finally stop camping.
Exactly lol
People talk about the stress of fending off an attack when this plays, for me is when I die while this song is playing and me just yelling at the game to let me respawn faster
The enemy has reached the final objective
The old times.......
Fantastico, fratelli! Revel in your freedom and gaze upon this land of ours, the Kingdom of Italy! Our Sacro Egoismo is an example to the entire world.
This is definitely the best
FANTASTICO! FRATELLI! Gioie per la libertà e ammirate le vostre terre! Ammirate il Regno d’Italia! Che il nostro sacro egoismo sia d’esempio per il mondo intero!
"The enemy has reached the final objective"
" We are losing objective Butter. "
