Yes, I really thing this is one of the 8 race cars units built just converted into a legal road car. The original road car is only one and it is preserved in a beautiful blue without rear wing in Nissan Museum in Japan. They never built more road cars (just anothe unit for crash test that resulted destroyed).
The VRH35 in the R390 will eventually become the McLaren M383T in the 12C and ends up being developed into the M840T. Crazy to think that a modern McLaren roadcar uses an engine developed in the late 80's.
Never thought id see more then 7 second clips of this from years ago, but Im finally seeing a 9 minute video of this car. Man I wish Nissan brung back the R390 GT1 in production
In Dubai? There is just 9 Nissan R390 GT1 survived of 10 ever built. The survivors are 8 race cars (this white one is one of them but converted to legal road car) and one road car unit never sold by Nissan that is in their museum. About the race cars I found that there is only two of them in private hands so I doubt those Dubai cars can be originals. Maybe some copies.
@@mcfireballs3491 yep. This is the only part when I understand cars being stored in garages instead of being driven around. If something breaks, or worse, the guy has an accident, then it is a huge loss, not only for the owner, but for car history as well.

This was a 90s Le Mans GT1 race car originally so it was built for one of the most prestigious racing categories in existence. It wasn't at all meant for the road but this car was then slightly changed around a bit to make it road legal so it's basically still a race car.
It is not the road legal version that exists. it is a race version modified and homologated for the road, like the longtail F1 GTR.
The ONLY R390 GT1 road car is blue color.
@@LG4761 And that one is stored at Nismo too.
Eric Comas converted this race care in a street legal. I think maybe it's the car which he raced a lot of (the best) years ago..
@@marcodeboni8006 thank you for the info! It is much appreciated.
Haha you're wrong.
The Nissan R390 GT1 & Toyota TS020, legendary Japanese counterparts of the end of the 90's
You know it a true race car when there storage inside the door for your helmet
Exactly what I was about to write! I would even say nothing says more "road going racecar" than having that storage in the door

The helmet holder in the door, is another level.

The GT games made this car sound a lot better than it really does.

Anyone knows if this finally went to Le Mans (2022, I refer)?
No but he's bringing it to Le Mans 2023, by roads.
What a beast :D
Feels disappointing to see this car being a garage queen.
Good luck finding spare parts

I love it when fast cars go fast. This video was a major disappointment.

You try too hard to zoom in out pan left right.
Half the video is the tail of the car.

Speaking of hideous cars, several new model BMW’s have entered the chat. You’re just a boring human.
