Gaara would beat Deidara in an open area, and he would also wreak Sasori in that Hiruko puppet body. Hiruko most definitely slowed Sasori down, since it was basically a tanking puppet body, and his poison tail attack would get countered by Gaara's protective sand
It doesn't really matter since Deidara didn't use his full strength against Gaara anyway.

The problem with the Kage is that their abilities don’t complement each other very well. Mei’s most powerful attacks would hurt her teammates, Tsunade and A are strictly hand to hand combatants, Ohnokis most powerful attack fails more than it hits and seems to take a lot, and a lot of Gaaras attacks are kind of slow compared to the Akatsuki members
In contrast the akatsuki is all about teamwork. They Litteraly put everyone into 2 man teams which play off each others strengths and weakness.

S M but you also got to consider the fact he has unlimited chakra and perfect eye sight from spamming his MS abilities. Alive “Prime” Itachi would be the strongest but after a battle or two he’d start losing his eye sight so he’d no longer be in his prime once that started.

Inside of the cave, alone, he would lose due to Kabuto having huge advantages. Even if outside, and alone, he would lose due to sound genjutsu gg. Other than that, he wins 10/10 high diff
Itachi would still win high diff in my opinion. WIth the Yata Mirror, Tosuka Blade and Amaterasu to trap Kabuto it will only be a game of cat and mouse. Kabuto does have his advantages but Itachi exploited his main weakness which wasn't his power but his greed. In the novels, Danzo even noted that it would be frightening if Itachi never held back for once which means Itachi has always held himself back probably from always being better than everyone else.

Gaara Had to protect the village in his fight which was a MASSIVE disadvantage. Also when the third kazekage went missing there were no signs of a struggle or fight or anything which makes me think that sasory poisoned him or something while he was completely off guard.
Swagkage ignores the gaara thing everytime, if gaara let the village get blown up he probably could’ve beat deidara. It’s like if someone runs up to stab your child and you get hit protecting them, they exploited a weakness to win.
lol nah it had nothing to do with Gaara protecting the village. Deidara won because he used his disembodied arm that was inside Gaara's sand to get his explosives within range. if anything Gaara had an advantage because he had his village's defenses on his side

It also was a major disadvantage because gaara had to expend a massive amount of chakra to move the regular sand(which takes longer and is harder for him to do) while also worrying about the village, which clearly exhausted him

@@rodrigosalinas5384 incorrect As the rikages charka in v2 lighting chakra mode is compared to when bee fully transformes into the 8 tails which he didn't showcase in their fight because he was trying his best to avoid harming his master and the raccon all the while protecting them, the furthest bee went was his V2 tailed beast mode, bee himself stated he's indefinitely slower than Ay and Ays physical strength and charka are greater than bee in that v2 tailed beast state, bee was able to blitz kisame and blow off his entire chest cavity, Ay would without question be able to blitz him and probably decapitate him, not to mention kisames charka nature affinity is water and he would be fighting one of the best lighting style users in the whole series, in reality kisame has a better shot at beating ohonki due to his relative speed and kisame might be able to counter particle style with his ninjutsu absorbing shark bomb, so the kage would definitely win without the big 3 and in a 5v5 without obito and nagato its definitely debatable

Why do some people people forget that Sasori has the 3rd Kazekage puppet who has iron sand that could counter most of the attacks and his weapons is coated with poison, he only need a scratch from his opponent then it's over (unless you're immune to poison or lucky enough to find a rare cure for it) he could also control people (dead or alive) and use their jutsu with his chakra threads.

I think it's worth noting the Akatsuki know each other fairly well, and have experience fighting alongside each other in smaller cells. The Kage went from hating each other to being co-generals, and banded together to represent when Madara showed up. Gaara and Oniki gelled pretty effectively before that, but they aren't anything approaching a cohesive unit.
Very well put, I came to that conclusion as well. The Akatsuki at the very least practiced in twos and all knew each others abilities, while The Furious Five probably kept each other in the dark about their powers, being ninjas and all.
With all that in mind, I think the bottom 5 weakest Akatsuki could hold their own against the Kage. Maybe even win.

Shisui is the biggest cock tease in the entire series. Has this super incredible jutsu that we only ever see used by someone else and hardly ever mentioned otherwise. It's almost impossible to gauge just how strong he is because he's barely ever mentioned, much less shown. That's why I hate trying to put Shisui up in the vs battles because he has virtually zero feats and everything else is mostly speculation.

Thing is that Edo Itachi is just a healthy Itachi, I think that is pretty obvious. I mean Itachi never had chakra problems until he was dying, he massacred his entire village and the entire Shippuden he was dying and prolonging his life so he could fight Sasuke.
After the Uchiha massacre he still had enough Chakra to use Tsukyomi on Sasuke. In normal Naruto when he attacks Konoha he used multiple jutsus and use Tsukyomi twice on Kakashi and Sasuke then he used Amateratsu to escape.

The only thing stopping naruto from just ending at this very moment was sheer damn luck and Nagato and Itachi being good boys and trying to stop edo tensei

Texaz Twin she’s powerful sure but she lacks versatility. She can hit hard but what good is that if she can’t land the hits? Most if not all S rank characters in naruto have the means of avoiding tsunade’s attacks, which is why she seems so weaker than she actually is. In her fight against madara she only hit him when she surprised him with the strength of 100 seal and when another kage assisted her. Tsunade would be high tier character in most other anime but she’s just countered too easily in naruto.

The fair fight would propably be Pain vs 5 Kage (regarding that he didn't really break a sweat defeating Tsunade and as you said, only 3 Kage are really dangerous.

I mean, with Sage Mode alone he was able to defeat Pain and without that, he was able to basically one shot Kakuzu. The only ones that would be a threat to War Arc Naruto are Itachi and Obito. Alive Itachi wouldn't be able to fight a long battle, so that leaves everything to Obito and even against him, Naruto was able to fight against him and protect Kakashi and Guy while doing it.
Hokage Naruto would stomp the Akatsuki, War Arc Naruto would PROBABLY defeat them

Pain could have killed Naruto at any point during the cycle of hatred speech, and if Tendo hadn't been unable to fight at the start, he'd have won instantly, as shown once Tendo is able to fight, he insta wins.
With the edo akatsuki Sasori could turn the corpses of the dead kages in to his puppets and use them to help fight the rest tho, that would be a cool idea to explore. Like if Sasori managed to poison and kill say Tsunade, he could use her as a puppet to fight and heal the other members of the akatsuki (i think the puppets inherit the abilities of the person who they are made from?)
I don't think he can control straight up corpses like he did the Third Kazekage. If you go back you'll notice the Kazekage puppet is actually a puppet that probably just has the heart of the 3rd like Sasori's puppet body. So I think some assembly is required on that lol

But then Tsunade could wrap the Kage in Katsuyu and maybe they'd survive.
They could just breathe in the particle bombs and not even know it. I feel like Deidara could potentially be the strongest character with just that particle bomb. You literally have to have the Sharingan and be a lightning element user to avoid it.
