Finally a powerscaler that knows what fatigue is. This man pain fought the entire leaf village by himself and then proceeded to nuke it literal moments before Naruto showed up and people sit there like Pain was at 100% fighting sage naruto when he clearly isn't. On top of this Naruto came into that fight with FULL INTEL OF ALL OF PAINS ABILITIES, like bruh why do people genuinely think that Pain was just fighting naruto like he was fighting any other opponent.

@@___________0Z0XI hate to say it, but this is absolutely true. Honestly? Naruto might have died even sooner. I know Naruto’s Sage Mode is quite a bit more powerful in every aspect compared to Jiraiya, but Naruto is no where near as proficient as an overall ninja. Naruto was insanely lucky the circumstances he had when he fought Pain in the Hidden Leaf Wasteland. And even THEN, he barely won.
Naruto just came from training he was fatigued too. And most of the leaf ninja are fodder that pain was no diffing 😂. PAIN HIMSELF said if Jiraya knows his secret he probably would have lost and we know Naruto knew pain’s secret AND surpassed Jiraya. There was not a single frame in that ENTIRE FIGHT where pain was beating up sage mode naruto. He would only get the upper hand when sage mode wore off.

If the average ninja was a 10, pain was a 100. Then the war arc comes around and we see people waving 1000s getting beaten like it's nothing.
A good example would be Kakashi going from passing out after using 1 Kamui to spamming it like there's no tomorrow
Everything that made pain a threat (incredibly destructive jutsu at a moments notice) was adopted by countless people very shortly after his intro because the powers came radically shifted. Kakashi went from 4 chidori exhausting him, and ONE kamui putting him in the hospital- to spamming both non-stop in what is essentially the next major conflict.
Narratively speaking, that'd be Hiruzen. He's supposed to be the strongest kage during Part 1, but then we see Ohnoki and Ay
I always saw Pain and Obito as a partnership. A Principal and Superintendent, Pain was indeed the real leader of the Akatsuki and Obito was there to supervise just like how Principals are in charge of a school while Superintendents check to see if the school is functioning as intended, a school's goal is to produce exceptional students while the Akatsuki's goal was to collect the tailed beasts.
Obito didn't really shoot up in the powerscaling department until the following arcs because he was the hot new thing.

It's clearly shown by narrative that Obito is in a higher league than the rest of the Akatsuki and is infact the leader.
1. The Akatsuki's main mission was to collect tailed beasts. Nagato didn't know why they're collecting them, but Obito did.
2. Itachi, Kisame and (zetsu) all worked directly under Obito, not the Akatsuki. Hence in the Itachi vs Sasuke fight. Itachi stated that "Madara" Obito was his teacher.
3. The Akatsuki around Hanzo's time and the Akatsuki we're introduced to are different.
Nagato and co wanted an organization that could lead to peace.
The Akatsuki we know was an organization for hire, who's main goal was to capture tailed beasts.
Lastly, with the help of Edo Itachi, Naruto and bee managed to defeat Edo Nagato.
Obito was going to defeat a stronger version of Naruto, bee , Gai and kakashi, until kakashi learned about the kamui's being linked. If that's not enough for you. V2 fox cloak had Pein running for dear life. KCM Naruto is so much stronger than that version. Yet KCM Naruto is child's play to Obito.

Context using Jariaya vs Pain. Nagato was taught by Jariaya and knew the three Sanin. Having info on your enemy is a huge advantage. Jaraiya had no idea what he was up against and learned while fighting
This is partially true however, he has no idea about Sage Mode or any of the abilities there so it cuts both ways, with Jiraya admitting inferiority off of partial intelligence of pain using 3 paths as a basis
End of the day: Pain had some info on Jiraiya but Jiraiya had none on Pain.

The things is, if Shikamaru is Able to bind the paths, other people from the Village could come in to Support, even though I don't know if anyone would even be able to help out in a meaningful way considering the Pain Durability. Choza and Tsunade are like the best bet in terms of power, but they are both already chakra drained/beaten up and Guy and Lee are both not available. But even if anyone would be able to injure them, Momoshiki was able to absorb the Jutsu while being restricted by it, so the Preta Path probably could do as well, which would mean it could attack Shikamaru and disrupt him from binding the other paths.
All in all, just happy Tobirama got a pretty confident W out of this one lmao
Keep in mind Tsunade already had Katsuyu on the field with her chakra split to heal and attach to ALL of the fighting ninja in the village including the civilians.
Also she didn’t use Byakugou probably because of Katsuyu being on the field.
TL;DR: I think at full strength she would take out Naraka, Animal, and probably Asura Path before she gets smashed.

Agree, people sometimes don't realize how versatile and intelligente minato is, and think he can only do flying ryjin and rasengan. I'm quite sure his rasengan is much stronger than Naruto's at this point in the story.

minato can teleport anything his chakra touches, in theory if he makes contact with one of the paths, he should be able to
1. Teleport the bodies out of range of nagatos control range
2. Reverse summon nagato to the battle field because his chakra is directly touching the paths.
3. or actually teleport to where the real nagato is because again his chakra is touching nagatos.
every path of pain is too slow to hit minato and he can blitz every path. sicne all bodies are connected by nagatos chakra, marking one of them would put minato under acess to any body ?

I would argue that if minatos rasengan is not strong enough he can put more chakra through it making it a odama rasengan which should do the trick
Minato’s a beast, but he does not have THAT much chakra. Part of what makes the Giant Rasengan is the sheer amount of chakra required, and it took Jiraiya being in a synchronized Sage Mode with Ma and Pa to do it in the Hidden Rain. Naruto’s Giant Rasengan was just him blowing through his chakra cause he could. Minato is still better off trying to speed blitz instead.

Another strategy for the Second and Fourth is to take out the Animal Path and then teleport the other Paths to separate location so they can't help each other.

Tsunade beats pain... Katsuyu alone negates pains abilities and idk why she isn't being brought up when tsunade's nickname is slug princess/queen. Like the pains, katsuyu has shared vision but even better. Tsunade has offensive medical ninjutsu that she can use against the pains. They cannot disrupt her chakra or do no soul pulling because she will just break out of any hold they try to do. They cannot sneak up on her thanks to katsuyu and her linked vision. Katsuyu is a sensor so she can tell where the chameleon is. None of them can block an attack from Tsunade, Katsuyu deals with the summons pretty easily as her acid 1 hit ko's all of them as they cannot harm katsuyu but she can harm them. Tsunade is relative in speed to aye not faster but she can keep up with his speed. Master combatant and taijutsu master. She does not need to hit any of the pains directly to kill them as the impact from her attacks from the aoe can kill once within the aoe. She is also a master tactician and strategist, she will figure out pain's abilities and pinpoint that one of them can revive and deal with him 1st. With katsuyu being present, she can even trap pain in her body and suffocate them, use offensive medical ninjutsu, etc.

It would make a huge difference. As you can see from his normal fighting style, he doesn't give af about collateral damage. So if he's fighting to keep them alive like he did with Naruto that would be a massive change in his fighting style. if he's fighting just to neg them then yea, just about none of the kages can deal with him.

I don’t think you can say Madara “let himself” get blitzed against Tsunade mainly because he never “let himself” get hit by someone like Raikage or the other kage he would always try to block, parry or dodge, if he genuinely let himself get hit or held back he made it clear and said so like when Ohnoki landed a hit. No such thing is said when Tsunade hit him and he genuinely looked surprised
Also another thing. Even if Tsunade isn’t faster than Raikage she is still very much relative and that should be enough to blitz a majority of the paths especially since Raikage is twice stated to be equal to minato in speed and is able to compete with kcm naruto who would be much stronger than pain arc sm naruto. And since Tsunade can take on 5 Madara Susanoo clones I see no reason she can’t take 6 paths of pain that would be much weaker especially since she can one shot the majority of them while taking minimum damage herself.
Preta path easily gets overpowered so his chakra sealing isn’t much of a threat here imo. The dogs also aren’t a threat either not only can they not kill Tsunade but in base she can compete with Manda and one shot him who is stronger than any of the toad summons so she could honestly throw the dogs off the battlefield for a little while. Honestly every path is getting one tapped with exception of the deva and by that point it’s only a matter of time before he goes down
So what I’m referring to is the example most people cite with Tsunade punching through Madara’s wood clone which doesn’t work for 40 different reasons
Tsunade can only be argued to be between V1 - V2 we know she’s objectively slower - that along with Sannin comparison means she shouldn’t be in the same range. Again the Madara example doesn’t work because we know he was playing with the Kages, even with his Wood Clones. She doesn’t even beat them as they’re all still alive when Onoki uses particle style, so there’s really nothing to go off of.

@@ThunderGodTGonly way I see hiruzen winning is if we take a prime hiruzen in which case I think you can make some solid arguments for one at least if you think it gets this far is that even an older hiruzen has scaling to the full 9 tails let alone a prime hiruzen who if he realizes what's going on should be able to take down the path that's reviving the other pains and knock the number down to three use the shadow clones and use reaper death seal and beat case he should be able to just blatantly overpower the pains and rush them down with his monkey summon/companion

To be fair to Tsunade, if she was coming fresh to the Pain fight, then she would be able to summon a larger portion than what she summoned in the OG Sannin battle, meaning she her summon might readily deal with the Animal Path's summons.
I don't even gotta watch the vid to know:
1. Hashirama effortlessly puts Pain in a pack
2. Tobirama puts Pain in a pack; if FTG is the argument for Minato then it could be used for Tobirama too(albeit Minato's is more advanced), but also dude created a shit ton of jutsu and was battle hardened in that he played no games when it came to fighting; he didn't try to save dudes or look for the good in them, just looked for his kill lmao I can see arguments against him, but I think at least 7/10x Tobirama wins
3. Hiruzen gets packed up
4. Minato packs him up; his FTG prowess is enough to separate the paths and blitz them
5. Tsunade gets packed up
5.5. Danzo gets packed up hastily, especially with how stupidly he uses Izanagi lol
6. Kakashi gets packed (unless he's 6 paths DMS, this Kakashi puts Pain in a pack)
7. Hokage Naruto packs up every Rinnegan user
8. Shikamaru gets packed up

people tend to forget that Tobirama is a Senju that itself is already a feat not to be mess with. Tobirama is one of if not the smartest Kage, dude literally created several forbidden jutsu altough some may not be effective against pain but still we can't deny how his brain works. Also, He's not like other Kage in terms of decision making, this dude doesn't care, he's straight for the kill. His water style are one of the best in Naruto verse. Anyway, new here great video! Since Naruto in his seven tails rage form vs pain resisted the almighty push ( when they had their quick little swimming lession ) i was wondering, how he resisted it...
I mean is this naruto immune to it, is it determined by physical strength, or did he grab the floor with 10-20 of those red arms he keeps spawning and just held against it....? any ideas why this was the only time ( since i know ) someone resisted the almighty push ?

@@svenngringo5621 Allmighty push, as its name suggests, is basically a force push, and the force is not infinite, so as long as kyuubi naruto was stronger than the force of the push, he could simply hold himself in place, the throwing pain back was probably something like, every action has a reaction, so when pain pushed naruto, naruto pushed back, and in this instance he was stronger than pain, we only see this happening here because we don't see pain fighting anyone else who would be much stronger than him, but I would imagine that if the tried to push madara, madara could use susanoo arms to hold himself or simply just take it and push pain back

I have a question. What happened if Risotto Nero from JoJo fought Sasori (speed equalized so no blitzing, Sasori can only use the Third Kazekage puppet)? Risotto's Stand, Metallica allows him to manipulate iron, including the ones in your body. But since Sasori doesn't have blood, how effective would it be against the Iron Sand? It's iron after all. Can Risotto control it or is Sasori just too strong for Risotto to control the Iron Sand?

If Jiraya went on the pain fight prepared, like Naruto did, he would'e beaten pain much easier than Naruto did. Everybody underestimates Jiraya. Even when Itachi and Kisame were together, Itachi said that one of them will die if they fought against Jiraya - that is how strong Jiraya is. If Kisame and Itachi faought Jiraya TOGETHER, one of them (Kisame or Itachi) will die - not Jiraya. This is also why Jigen uses Jiraya's cells to make Kashin Koji - bbecause Jiraya is OP AF.
I really don’t believe this is true. Naruto had a perfected version of Jiraiya’s sage mode. And a more powerful version of his Rasengan. Also I’m pretty sure Kisame says this and Itachi just agrees which doesn’t really hold much weight cause Itachi was a hidden leaf spy.
Naruto in his sage mode has more power than Joraya in his imperfect sage mode, but jiraya is far more experienced and far more versatile.

i feel like whenever minato is mentioned in a 1 v1 scenario everyone always forgets how flying raijin can be countered. pain is essentially the perfect counter minato for one has limited kunai and 2 can't pain just almighty push or universal pull the kunai away or to him. he can control the pace of the battle by litterally controling where minato can land. or he could just send the chameleon to one of the kunai and its gg from there.

Minato can put seals anywhere on anything. He can put them on them and he has shadow clones, sage mode etc. If he wanted he can make a clone and they would blitz
If pain pulls him in minato can throw a kunai, and almighty push has a 5 second minimum delay, 5 seconds is plemty of time to get hit
How is pain gonna counter flying raijin? Even if pain pushes away the kunais, does not stop minato from teleporting the kunai and throwing more kunais, pain has a whole 5 second window after doing shinra tensei once, and thats with other abilities also, kamui is a way harder counter to ftg than pains abilities, minato was still able to tag and mark him, i dont understand this argument
Since Shikamaru was the last one you addressed, I'll offer a long shot argument. First of all, if we are putting the Hokage in Naruto's place, then they should only have to deal with what Naruto had to deal with, and we should assume that Leaf events happened pretty much in the same way, leading up to the designated Hokage's entrance. Aside from Tsunade, I suspect that none of our candidates will choose a direct confrontation as their first move. They will likely gather as much intelligence as they can, before taking any of the paths on. Shikamaru would probably have some intelligence advantages that Naruto didn't initially have. Here's my longshot scenario: Shikamaru finds out the abilities of Most of the paths. He then works out a way to strategically posses various paths, to take out the other paths. He enters the battle late, and figures out some master strategy to take them all out. He also figures out the purposes of the rods, and finds Nagato, the same way Naruto does, and dispatches him. Pain is gone, but so is the Leaf - forever. On the other hand, he might not be prepared for Konan & might be stopped there... Or maybe, Nagato could attempt to talk to Shikamaru, and they could find some common ground. Shika actually winning is a pretty big longshot. He would need MC armor.
I think this is how the best battles will go, for the rest of the candidates, because they don't possess Naruto's strongest genjutsu: Talk No Jutsu. I think most have a good chance, except for Tsunade. Aside from her summoning ability, she is basically a close range melee character. The most important aspect, though, is how she was trained. Naruto's story is all about being the hyperactive knuckleheaded ninja. In other words, he has trouble focusing and paying attention, and he was very lacking in having someone that would take the time to invest in him. Even to the end, I think he had even more potential than was ever shown, because a lot of his journey was self taught. Imagine, if Naruto had been raised by the Uchia clan, and had the support of prodigies of prodigies? He could have entered the academy with all the basics down, like his son had.
On the other hand, all the other predecessor Hokage have had the benefit of wartime experience and they came from a generation, that trained in more than just a handful of techniques. Pain was trained by Jiraiya, and though he had war experience of his own, it wasn't as a soldier. Perhaps, it was more like militia experience. So, Naruto had a lot of power, but his experience was low, compared to Pain's. That's why he still struggled - even with a big advantage. I think the predecessor Hokage would have an easier time, because of their experience and better use of strategy. Hiruzen might have trouble, simply because (as previously shown) he would be the most likely to directly confront Pain first thing, with the understanding that he's buying time for the village. He'd probably be able to counter most of the stuff, but I don't see him escaping becoming a rock ball. (Unless he had some powerful ranged attacks, like Itachi did)

Tobirama: This will be difficult because Preta Path can absorb any ninjutsu but I think Tobirama can win high difficulty with Flying Raijin slashes. Chibaku Tensei will not work because Tobirama can just teleport away
Hiruzen: Old Hiruzen should be around Orochimaru level, the same Orochimaru that got no diffed by a 13 years old Itachi. Pain low diffs
Minato: IMO base Minato will take this one probably low to medium difficulty. As I said, ninjutsu won't work so he has to rely on Flying Raijin and sealing jutsus. He can use Senjutsu but I don't think it's as good as Naruto's Senjutsu when he fought Pain because Minato claimed that Senjutsu is not his best aspect

Kakashi: Kakashi low diffs. I think it's stated somewhere that Hokage Kakashi is superior to War Arc no DMS Kakashi

It’s written in one of the Light novels that Hokage Kakashi is even stronger than DMS Kakashi. I don’t believe it but it’s canon. Without his Sharingan draining his chakra, combined with his elite chakra control, he basically has the most chakra output in the verse outside of Naruto, Sasuke, Madara and Hashirama. So he just pulls off hilarious feats with his 1000 jutsu that shouldn’t be physically possible.
He's not above DMS only war arc. It's only stated he's stronger than when he fought Obito/Madara not Kaguya.

Pain is terrifying, the man lost the body of his summoning path and had to replace him with a child corpse, that was one nerf he got before the fight. Then he faught and killed everybody that matters in the leaf village only to level the entire village afterwards. That was the point when he started his fight with sage mode Naruto and he won that fight. Then fought the Kyuubi and won only for Naruto to get a buff from his dead super OP dad and go back with fully charged sage mode.
Pain is totally broken it's not even close. The people who can defeat pain are literal Shinobi gods like Minato, Might Guy, Obito, Hashirama, and Madara no other Shinobi even stands a chance.
I think Minato has 3 acceptable tiers of Ap
1. Rasenshuriken Naruto lvl (it’s a mistranslation but if you wanna use it fine)
2. Sage Mode Naruto lvl (based on the statement that says Naruto surpassed his predecessors)
3. KCM1/2 lvl based on the numerous comparisons between the forms and Minato

He needs to use the Edo Tensei itself as that’s his in character move otherwise he nukes himself which is why it's made specifically for it. Unless you argue some form of dust release and he just creates more.

No it would not work. Theres a reason why tobirama created a whole ass edo tensei to use the tandem paperbombs, why create that if he could just use the clones? Your tryna give tobirama an ability he does not have.
Tobirama and Hashirama are probably the only two who find Nagato and stop the fight entirely. Tobirama is probably the only one who stops the leaf from being destroyed wholesale. People keep sleeping on the fact that Tobirama can sense and locate chakra COUNTRIES away.
18:48 Actually, Danzo having Izanagi would give him the best chance out of the first 3 on this list of winning against Pain. You gotta remember that Izanagi isn't just a "respawn", while active you can quite literally just bend reality to your will. If Danzo wanted too, he could have made Sasuke trade places with him and kinda one shot Sasuke. When we hear the story of how Izanagi works in those filler episodes, we learn that the Uchiha were abusing this reality warping genjutsu so much that Izunami had to be created to stop Izanagi spammers, and punish them. Sacrificing a Sharingan to get like 1 minute of reality warping powers per sacrificed Sharingan is really OP.
Not to mention Pain was also nerfed due to the bodies being so far from Nagato's
A big thing people don’t realize about Minato is how he sealed the fox , after a battle with obito and taking a hole through his chest and the fact that you need to have chakra equivalent to whatever you’re sealing in order for the reaper death seal to work. This would imply that an exhausted Minato had chakra that scaled to the kyuubi , he wasn’t some no chakra “skill” shinobi or anything like that. The dude was an absolute monster.
He was also considered a genius that had the highest battle iq in the series. And you also don’t become the hokage at 23-24 years old by only knowing just flying rajin and Rasengan. He likely knew FAR more Justus along with essentially being the greatest sealing jutsu master we ever saw in the series. The dude was popping off better sealing Justus than the uzumakis at 14 years old. I’m sorry but all that combined with his already haxed abilities lead me to think he would wash pain no matter what state pain was in. I don’t see a way that pain wins that fight.
In a one on one blood listed confrontation there’s probably only a handful of people that could beat Minato and pain isn’t one of them.

This is just my personal theory, but I think that visual Genjutsu might affect all the Paths of Pain. Frog song only worked on 3 of the paths of pains because it’s not like they share a sense of hearing. They share vision. Therefore, if they all get hit with something like Kotoamatsukami or Tsukyomi which require visual contact, it could catch all of them, including Nagato. Again though, that’s just a theory. I’m sure this logic has some holes in it somewhere.
This is actually a common interpretation to Pains statement that fits, I also think the other one is that he’s referencing Jiraya finding the real Nagato. Both fit the context of the fight
I assume you included Tsunade in this to give her a fair shake as far as 1v1 since she didn't get the opportunity to canonically, but didn't she try to fight Tendo (Deva Path) alone canonically briefly before he nuked the village? My memory's a little hazy, it's been a while since I read Naruto, but I seem to recall this fight not going well for her, meaning she couldn't take on one Pain canonically, let alone all six. Still, someone's gonna bitch no matter what you say I guess, so you gotta include her even if the answer is shown in canon (whether I'm remembering right or not, I'm speaking generally now), so I just wanted to mention it in case somebody cared
the Naruto/Jiraiya "who has the stronger sage mode" bit, during Naruto's training, Fukasaku did actually state that Naruto's sage mode was perfect with no "toad like" changes to his form and that he also could draw in more nature chakra than Jiraiya could. so on that i would say that Naruto hands down had the stronger form between the two
I am pretty biased towards Minato, but putting that aside I’m pretty sure he stomps Pain. If he’s given the same information Naruto is given he can dismantle the path that heals the others pretty fast and Minato has the reaction to not get hit by universal pull. The summons aren’t shown to be extremely fast and Minato would likely receive the same frogs help that Naruto received. The path that absorbs Justus would only be able to absorb his Rasengan but Minato can just warp behind him. The Diva path is the only one that he wouldn’t be able to one shot but Minato is definitely fast enough to attack during his 5 second cool down for almighty push.
Another thing they forget about Minato. He hit obito with a rasengan and simultaneously cut off his connection to the nine tails AND placed a marker on him. So technically speaking he would literally just cut off the connection to nagato with a sealing technique quick af.

Pain beat Hanzo the salamander who defeated Orochimaru, Jiraya, and Tsunade simultaneously and wiped out their whole squad. Not to mention all three could've been hokage as it was offered to them.
The versions of them Hanzo beat were still young and not yet anywhere near their prime.

Hanzo dubbed them the Sanin bc he couldn’t kill them easily. He knew it would be dragged out and he may not have walked away unscathed. Or he gave them that title bc even though he could’ve killed them, he saw they were a cut above the rest and probably didn’t want to snuff them out before they reach their true potential

It’s an editorial statement added in, Viz actually omits a lot of these chapter statements whether they be at the beginning of the chapter or end, not due to the translation being inaccurate but for the sake of having the manga be clean.
We’re going to ignore Tsunade’s superior summon and its ability to be multiple in psych summons, ignore her madara blitz that given or not is still not something that the Raikage accomplished, her ability to change the terrain, and her higher intelligence and knowledge of how to neutralize some of his techniques. Now add in her ability to disable bodies as a medic and access to more nuanced techniques like meddling with the nerve systems even when she was rusty.
Pain felt he would have lost had the toad known his secret from the get go. I see no reason the slug couldn’t do the same with that knowledge and against a nurfed pain.
If the 4th is in Naruto’s shoes, he gets to come in with sage mode up.
Ive always seen Nagato as the strongest character in naruto until Juubito. No one alive at the time is stronger than him until OBITO gets the rinn and starts the transformation. Id argue he beats Tobirama but loses to minato and hashirama.
Regarding Tobirama and the tandem paper bombs. While it was desinged and intended to be used by an edo tensei, I never see anyone mention its possible use by a shadow clone.
It doesn't work b/c the tags are stored in the Edo and the Edo is used as a medium for the explosion

Nah that’s inaccurate the databook says the user will legit blow themselves up if they try it with Tobirama being listed as the only user. It’s was made specifically to go with the Jutsu and even Hiruzen recognizes it only with Edo Tensei.

Even if Pain uses Shibaku Tensei on Minato, he still has the other half of the Nine Tails and perfect control of it at that. He can just burst out of it, and blitz Pain. Tbh, I don't see Pain doing much against Minato, it would have to be because of plot that Pain wins.
finally someone puts respect on tobiramas name he's basically a Older MacBook version mint do I think he can beat pain? not exactly but I will say he's not getting tossed to the side like his niece not a prime tobirama at least I mean dude is still pretty relative to era of shin obi hashirama and Madera we know he cant keep up with even in edo a much weakened formed he was still able to keep up with Madera and dare I say tobirama preformed better than hashirama in the war arc. like tobirama actually got a few clutch points and saves in victories in the war arc.
