traveling 3 months in Vietnam...and being food lovers...i think we tried most of them.
we didn't try that meat on the grill, nor seen it around.
one of our favourites in Vietnam (beside the typical banh mi, bun cha, pho, etc.) was Ban Xeo! We found some amazing places in Da Lat...OMG! i'm drooling again!

When your mom is excited, we're excited! Hahaha That looks pretty spectacular! We would probably do the lettuce wraps. I don't think we've ever had anything like the grilled place from the second location. That's a ton of food!
Those meat loafs and the meat wrap in leaf looks so good, lol we too spent some time figuring out how to eat when were in Vietnam. Although I'm a big fan of matcha, I would go with your mom's choice of trying the original drink. Thanks for the lovely food tour!

You two are too cute! To wrap the spring rolls it's helpful to put down a layer of lettuce horizontally on the edge of the rice paper, then layer the other meat and veggies on top. Then roll. The lettuce will help give structure to your roll.

We have similar rice rolls in a restaurant close to our house. So good! Love the name cococane! So cute. Those grill pork rolls though! Very unique desserts too. Would love to try the coconut jello!

The both of you were stuffing your face, i live here and never try brodard, i didnt want to wait in their line, you should know that viet are known for the food and the war.
Brodard is over rated. Only their spring rolls are good. The rest of the menu is mediocre.

Another great video with the dynamic duo, mother-daughter team. I love Vietnamese food and have had all the dishes except for turmeric fish. I would definitely order it if it were on the menu. I know I would like it. All yr dishes looked absolutely delicious and well executed.
