You didn’t have to mix the sand and cement yourself. You can buy bags already mixed for shower pans. As for that grout haze, just pick up a bottle of grout haze remover. I’ve been working for The Tile Shop for 8 years now. If we have a location near you, we carry everything you need for a shower remodel start to finish. We also sell Wedi and GoBoard shower systems, which can knock up to 2 days off of a shower remodel. They’re expensive, but you should look into one of them, or another similar brand for your other bathroom.
