    These new 589s look very good in flat top version you can't tell from a glance the thing has a 579 cab. the other mid roofs look goofy as hell... I would do the rectangular 379 headlight on that one..

    Volvo been having them mirrors for years. Peterbilt finally catching up. Also it took them years to put a TV mount in the 58in sleeper. It looks good though.

      @scottycollins1829 yes sir! Really love the 7 inch exhaust setup on the 589. This is a very versatile truck that can handle multiple applications including pneumatic.

    Peterbilt still needs to put the full size doors on both sides of the sleeper on all the sleeper sizes

      Peterbilt still won't do it from the factory, but if you want to spend the $$$ our Body Shop would be happy to make it happen for you.

    I wish Peterbilt would use the actual sleeper size instead of a different number. I had that same truck in a 379 except it was a 48" sleeper. Now they call it a 58 " sleeper. Our current 2019 567 has a 72 sleeper except it is the old 63 sleeper. Not cool to label it something that it is not. I still love our truck.

      Glad you love your 567! That is such a GREAT and VERSATILE Peterbilt!
      Just get all the other manufacturers to measure from the actual sleeper size instead of from the forward most point behind the seats and I'm sure Peterbilt would follow suit. Other manufacturers were measuring from behind the driver's seat and stating their sleepers were 8-10 inches longer than Peterbilt. Accordingly, Peterbilt adopted this "new" measuring system. Some call it marketing, I would use a harsher word...

      @astro1496 I can't argue with you there. Yes, I think the 58 inch Sleeper will be popular for the 589.

    I wish peterbilt would have kept the sliding sleeper windows instead of the large sleeper side windows

    • @tquadzilla
      @tquadzilla  2 месяца назад

      @jharrison3343 it would be nice to have an option for both. However, I think having a full size door (especially on the largest size sleeper 80" which replaced the 78" in 389 and had no full size door option) is a decent compromise.

      @just-incase3483 yes sir! The 5-series Peterbilts/next generation cabs certainly are more spacious, more comfortable and better ergonomics. And you're correct, A/C system is great!

    Great content as always Travis. Why do drivers select a small sleeper. Is that to do with wheelbase or specific applications?

    • @tquadzilla
      @tquadzilla  2 месяца назад +1

      @realcdcruze3558 Thank you! Yes, you are correct. Wheelbase and application have a lot to do with sleeper size. Short answer, if the driver does not need to be out in their truck for extended periods of time or only occasionally need to sleeper in the truck they will often go with a smaller sleeper. Weight savings is also a factor.

    It's not a real dual exhaust it's a 1 in to 2 there is now true duel exhaust on today's trucks because Today they just use a inline 6 engine not a V engine like the old V6 V8 V 12 engines ect which have exhaust manifolds on both sides of the engine...
