  • I made my first fictional tiara! This was so much fun to make, although it was definitely a new challenge to make a tiara from a sketch rather than replicating one from photographs.
    Can't wait to add a fourth to the collection, let me know what you want to see me make in the comments! 🖤

    I think the nail gel would definitely help and save time for you, there’s also so much potential, you could make the sun shape more delicate and use gold chrome nail powder to make it extra shiny. This also opens up a lot of material options for you in the future 😁

    Just a few suggestions Instead of the metal you could have used an aluminium soft drink can you could have cut it with scissors and a nail and hammer to punch the holes in it so you can wire it up. 😊😊 love watching you I have just found you❤❤

      Thank you so much ☺️ I considered using drink cans like Austin Do does but ultimately decided against it as I knew the stones I wanted to put on it were pretty big and heavy so I wanted it to be sturdy, which I am very glad about as I now know it can survive being dropped 3 times 😅

    I really do suggest trying to do a kokoshnik style tiara like the Aquamarine tiara. Or maybe one of Anastasia's tiaras from the film. You can try to make your own base by using thicker wires instead of the standard band and use thinner metal sheets like soda cans when making shapes 😁 this really made me want to finish the tiara I abandoned.

    The queen of tiaras still rules! I love the design, and I think it fits perfectly with the overall outfit. I think others have mentioned it as well, but for the metal cutting you could look for a jewelers saw, they are perfect for this. It is still time consuming, but you can be very precise. And a jewelers vise might be handy as well. But I’m amazed at what you can create with a few simple tools . . . . . and glue 😜

I’m going to slowly build a whole kit for making these 😅 And yes, we must never forget the glue 👍🏻

    • @MadameMyriad
      @MadameMyriad  2 месяца назад +1

      I’ve seen that video, I loved that project 🖤 I thought about using cans initially but decided against it as I was using fairly heavy glass stones and wanted to make sure it was sturdy (I know Austin Do uses foam to make it thicker but I’m trying my best to only use metal and glass materials where possible). Also I don’t think the can metals would have survived being dropped so quite much, my clumsy nature dictates I make everything as strong as possible 😂

      @@MadameMyriad Feel free to ignore advice you didn’t ask for 😜 but what I have found helpful is to ask myself “What do the professionals do?” when trying to resolve a particular problem. Then I research the professional levels. Invariably, there will be an idea that I can translate into a domestic, affordable resolution.
